Here’s the thing for me, I have now been a big fan of all these folks separately for a good while now, and have even had a chance to play with some of them in their other bands (Shotgun Jazz Band, Jazz Vipers,etc). This group together though is something special. There’s a cohesiveness that’s a notch above for me. I love their repertoire and they keep getting better. They added some Armstrong here (like Skid Dat De Dat, Heebie Jeebies, Swing that Music) Marla’s trumpet playing ( most focus on her great vocals) here is tremendous- so highly expressive, rhythmic, and melodic in the trad style. Just so impressive…I heard them live at the January JEN convention in 2020 right before the pandemic, in the MORNING, like at 10:00am or something, and they were swinging just as hard. What a band!
Have you ever see such a happy trombone player ? The whole band is exceptional, their blend of sound, makes the concert a real happy toe tapping event. Wish you could come to Australia ! Cheers
I am a fan of bluegrass, traditional/Dixieland jazz, swing, and early form of rock n' roll (rockabilly), and I fully enjoyed watching this to the end. Just got introduced to this group, already lovin' it!

Fantastic...but I was very surprised to hear the few times they got lost or a little sloppy. VERY unusual for this group. It was particularly apparent on Heebie Jeebie Blues. Still a great session!
