Exciting day as I transition the greenhouse from spring to summer

- In this garden vlog I swap the greenhouse from a seedling station to my summer home for my aubergine plants, tomato plants and pepper plants. In the garden there are certain times of the year that are really exciting and getting my summer plants into their permanent homes is one of them.
In this video I plant my tomato and aubergine plants into my main greenhouse bed and then plant the rest of the aubergines and some of the tomatoes in pots to grow on in containers throughout the summer. It is so exciting to get these plants into their final growing positions. Some of my tomato plants will be growing outdoors during the summer in the outdoor no-dig garden beds.
In this video I use a product from Plantworks Ltd called Tomato Starter. They are small biscuit like discs that contain nutrients and mycorrhizal fungi to help your plant roots grow strong and sturdy. If you wish to view their products the website is here rootgrow.co.uk/products

Hi Bethan,
I took my phone into my greenhouse this morning so I could watch everyones videos and ended up tidying my greenhouse as you were sorting yours!!!!
Lovely job 👍
Take care, Annie 🐞 🐝 🌱
Great minds think alike Annie 😂 Hope you had a productive time tidying 😊
The greenhouse looks great Bethan. Great update.
Thanks very much Cheryl 😊
Hi Bethan im looking forward to seeing how your tomato biscuits work, they're interesting.👍👌🍅😁💪
Yes they are an intriguing concept and were very simple and straightforward to use 😁
Hi Bethan. Everthing is really starting to take shape. Greenhouse is looking great. Those biscuits look very interesting. Have a great week. Mags
Thanks Mags, it will be good to see the results of the biscuits as they were very easy to use and less faffing with different amendments. Take care 😊
Thanks Bethan 🙂🌱. Will have to look into those tomato discs, would save a lot of work especially if you don't need to feed 🍅🍅
Thank Joe, yes they are a great idea aren't they, when I plant some of the other tomato I'm going to do an experiment with them so we'll see if there's any difference at all 😊
Looking great! Won’t be long before we get the fruits of our labours 🎉
Fingers crossed although plants are slow growing this year, are they the same for you?
@@bethanskitchengarden they seem to be ok for me this year, tho I’ve spent a lot on the soils etc, so think the plants are feeling sorry for me 🤣
Coucou 👋🏻 👋🏻
Formidable vidéo 😊😊😊
A bientôt
Merci 😁
Lovely job 👍🏼 😂
You have certainly managed to pack quite a bit in to the greenhouse. Very organised.
I’m growing cherry brandywine this year. Apparently it wins a lot of taste tests and it being a potato leaf variety makes it interesting.
Looking forward to seeing how you are setting up the irrigation system, as I might do something myself soon.
Thanks for a lovely video 😊
Thanks Clare, I will try to include it in a forthcoming video, I used it last year and it worked really well, was solar powered.
Ooh even more excited for the Brandywine now.
Thanks for watching 😊
@@bethanskitchengarden will look forward to it x
Downsize seems to be the theme of the day, now if we can only stick to that next spring 😂. It has been torrential rain here for days and it beat the heck out of my poor tomato plants (the ones the slugs didn’t eat). 😂 yep I was paying attention. Lovely job 👍👍. Somehow I lost my bag of mychorizzl (never spell it right) so I’ll have to get more. Lots going on Bethan and looks nice and sunny, have a fab week, Ali 🌧️🌧️🇨🇦
Thanks Ali, it was lovely when I filmed but cloudy again today. Oh no, sorry about your tomatoes. I do plan on growing a certain amount but when more seedlings grow I just don't have the heart to say no 😂 Take care
Great stuff Bethan!
Cheers Diggy
Hi Bethan 👋❤
Lovely selection of tomatoes you have there.
You're very kind to ants fair play 👍😍
Fab update ❤
Thanks Linda, I always hate disturbing an ants nest, they scurry around so much trying to hide their eggs 😞 They were all gone when I moved the compost 2 days later, no sign of any eggs which I thought was good 😊
Has to feel to good to be almost planted out.
Thanks Robin, yes it is a good feeling isn't it as it feels like you don't have to keep such a close eye on plants when they are more mature. Take care 😊
Haha I thought it was just me that planted toms twice 😅 I had the added problem of putting the string through the halo aswell.
😂 no it's not just you, I usually do a job twice 😂 oh no, not a halo as well 😩 Thanks for watching.
Aubergines look great. I’m growing black beauty and Scorpio. What variety are yours?
Thanks Emma, they are all the same kind which is black beauty, same as you 😊
