I wanted to buy this radio due to its USB. Now I won't. Like many Philips radios this one also has motor beating sound in the non-fm band while tunning. It doesn't occur in Bahadur and Prince sets.

Except in lower end Philips sets like Bahadur, Trishul and Prince many Philips radios have this problem, however, less in FM channel. Please notice when he is playing the MW signals. But if you are interested in FM and only one or two stations in MW then ok.
@@geekysoumyamohan2004 No, no I was just looking. I use a Bahadur set for 10 years which satisfies me even today, only the SW sound has dampened. I would replace it perhaps by Trishul which has inbuilt rechargeable battery but without USB. May be I would like it to gift someone later.
Put radio upside down... Pull the batteries out and rub them. Pull the antenna in out for at least fifty times. Put the batteries in. Ensure volume knob us full. and problem will be solved
