Stabbing your opponent in the face repeatedly is even more powerful and he didn't do that either, NL really showing a lot of restraint here

Lol seriously. I legit hate chat I just can't, it's my biggest pet peeve seeing his CZcams content where he's interacting with them, 99% of the time it's dumbass back seating. Aaaagh drives me insane and it's not even me playing!

Backseating in other series is very warranted, NL does dumb shit all the time.
@@ColdMetalz Exactly, I really hate chat. I have this (might be wrong) feeling that they're all a bunch of socially awkward boys who donate money to someone that they want to call their friend and feel like they connect with 'streamer'. They even call him daddy, which is just ugh.

@@ColdMetalz I feel the same way. I think as someone else mentioned, people are saying it "ironically", but some really believe it's a good move. That's what actually kills me.

nah that guy was just on move 7 while NL was on move 3
NL was describing a scenario where he gave up his last bishop then said it opens up diagonals.
The dude was pointing out a variation where NL said he would win the diagonal withouth realizing he would no longer have a bishop at the end of it

Hey, pls make a tournament of chess streamers who are over-qualified in pogchamps. 1100 to 1600 rating tournament. Perhaps invite the previous champs in pogchamps, more like a championship cycle. Every after 3 seasons of pogchamps.

I was worried when I saw the time, but those two games were some of the best chess I've ever seen. You're talkative personality makes it so much easier to watch and understand your thought process than most other chess-tubers. That pawn take queen gambit was something to behold

It's still bad, but I think they were focused on the rook-king fork and missed the fact that the knight was there too.
That move in the second game was awesome. Forget the memes that was actually an incredible move that you should be proud of. Chat says it accomplished nothing but in that position where the opponent seemed to have a plan to begin checking you and taking pieces you sacked your queen to come out the other side even and stop his attack
What moves do the cats make to request entrance? Meowing outside the door? Scratching? The single paw under the door?
They slide a piece of paper under the door, informing NL that unless he opens the door, calamity may befall his sofa.

I found NL in med school via Let’s Look At, watched an embarrassing amount of Isaac, fell off during residency, and rediscovered through chess now 7 years later in my last year of fellowship. Could always count on NL to help me relax

But it was terrible, because the knight was trapped after Kc3 and Kb2, and things get complicated to win, probably it's a draw.
@@franderlyacosta691 Yeah I saw too that it was fishy. Stockfish says it's still like -6 because black has so many pawns the knight just can't stop them, but I'd be really scared to try and play for a win as black.
Press “check lines” and engine will show u the continuation of the different lines, so u dont waste time doing that for yourself every time

Generally with queens off of the board, the more centralized your king is the better since king safety isn't that important since the primary attacking piece, the queen, is gone.

Seeing NL play the fucking optimal move sequence at 4:40 instead of just taking the pawn was a joy.
