Nothing wrong with a quartering on or frontal shot depending on setup of course.. Definitely a job for a fixed blade though.. good to see you boys out having a crack with the bow

What's with Kiwis calling stags and hinds, bucks and does?
Can or do you ever put out mineral licks or similar in the farms or areas you hunt? Or tailored feeds? To promote antler growth primarily ... not just to attract animals , because they seem to be there. There are minerals available for that , but are they available or legal to use in N.Z. for private use? Personally I have never cared about antler size or shape....for me, if its brown, it's down. But different regions definitely carry bigger animals and heads, because of genetics and also feed and available minerals. Wondered if you had considered this as an option.
