Excellent job! Just a shame you didn't replace the heater core and fan while you're at it

With the way new parts are now, I thought it best just to leave them alone as they were working fine.

I really appreciate your work sir. Doing the same but on a 63 Panel with a deluxe heater. Question is my fan is rusted terribly and don't turn very free. Do you think the core was leaking that caused fan to rust? Thank you sir

Any time I rebuild one of these I take a small bicycle inner tube and cut it at mid-point then attach each end to the heater core pipes with hose clamps, then submerge the heater core in a bucket of water and shoot some air into the valve stem. It will leak at your hose clamps but thats ok....your looking for any bubbles coming from the heater core. No bubbles is a GOOD thing!!

Where can I find replacement pieces?

I did not have to buy replacement pieces so not sure my recommendations would be any different than google.

You can find just about every part on the truck at LMCTruck

Can anyone chime in and say if this is the economy heater box or the deluxe, and then what the difference between them is. I believe this is what is in my truck and need to replace the heater core. Thanks

This is the deluxe, mounted inside the engine compartment.
