dude, seriously!!! thanks for sharing this!!! every other channel is posting about panels from movies and tv shows and nobody is remembering what comic con is about....COMICS!!!
Amen! 95% of the people who attend Comic Con these days do not buy and read comic books.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!
Can't wait for the new Justice League Unlimited comic series by Mark Waid and Dan Mora. As part of DC ALL-IN Publishing Initiative
Absolute DC is all about retaining the IP once the established versions of the DC Trinity go to public domain. I think the characters in the public domain have a better chance of having good stories than what was presented here.
@@comicbookcountdown9252 I think you’re right, given how we’ve seen Mickey Mouse used in Savage Dragon and other places. That new (old) DC logo that animates and flips over to show the 1939 Superman - isn’t that the version that will be public domain?
You mean like what we've seen happen to Winnie the Pooh in Blood & Honey and Blood & Honey 2 movies? We have already seen countless versions of Superman outside of DC whether its Hyperion, Omni Man, or Homelander.
That's not how this works.
For starters, Superman entering the public domain is still over a decade away.
Second, the version entering the public domain is the one from the very early stories, without even the ability to fly, villains like Lex Luthor or Brainiac, working at the Daily Planet, supporting characters like Perry White or Jimmy Olsen, core parts of the lore like Smallville or Kryptonite.
And finally, the name Superman for marketing purposes will still be protected by trademark law. Nobody other than DC and those who are officially licenced will be able to use the name on any cover image.
Absolute Wonder Woman got me really excited. Definitely will be including that in my October pull list.
Absolutely loved this but curious if you possibly also had the first half of the panel as well?
I hope Lana Lang is featured in Absolute #Superman. I'm curious what the take on Lana would be like in that universe.
Hope we get an Aquaman title soon.
Yeah right
New 52 retooled. Another bomb. Can't they just concentrate on what they're doing in the main titles now? There's some good stuff going on, why go off on another tangent?
