- Happy Birthday Hobi! 🥂 I've decided to go with this video for J-Hopes Habits, since a lot of you recommended it. His rolling on the floor laughing is just the best. I also really loved the 'can't lie' part and him stroking himself in his sleep. Just overall good fun and definitely a mood-lifter!

The things they wear on their heads that look like princess Leia's hair are just rolled up towels :D you can easily make one yourself, Korean men (women too, but mostly men) wear these in the steamrooms\communal baths :) all the kdramas and variety shows are full of these, steamrooms also have a kind of uniform clothes they hand out to the visitors
Jjimjilbang (heated room) provide clothing (t-shirt and shorts) and towels which can be used as the typical Princess Leia buns on your head. They are sauna rooms, but unlike Western saunas they are more like heated rooms with dry heat (from 16°C to about 50°C) and open 24 hours. You can buy snacks there, especially boiled eggs and banana milk (down Kookie-lovers!!!) . Oh and they are gender segregated.
That's interesting and kind of similar to Japanese "onsen" or "sentô" I'd imaging, even though those are only communal baths and have no sauna/heated rooms attached most of the time. But you do get uniform clothes and can buy snacks and drinks ( I especially love the cold coffee milk after the hot bath... so good!). Anyway, I'd never seen those rolled up towels before, that looks really cute 😅
@@YouandMe14 Usually bath houses and saunas are seperate in Korea. They can be together, but usually they are completely separate and in different parts of towns. Bathh houses had a long tradition in Korea until the 1990s, when more modern homes were built with a bathroom. Usually there was just a wet room with toilet and sink with a drain in the floor. If you watch old kdramas from the early 1990s you will be surprised when there are bathroom scenes LOL
It is the same time with Japanese toilets, No one nowadays could imagine that the modern toilets were only introduced in the late 1980s and usually you had this basin like thing in the ground where you squatted over to do your business.

As a Mom I understand how J-Hope feels when he said that his mother pet him while he slept so it gives him comfort now. I always stroked my daughter's back to put her to sleep when she was young. So I understand. That was 27yrs ago and when she is sick she still sees me for comfort. It is not uncommon. I am glad that he is comfortable in sharing with us. Thanks J-Hope 🥰💜

In tiny basically means when they do something in small motion and cute way. Idk if it's an army thing but the first time I heard someone use 'in tiny' was after I knew BTS lol. It sounds kinda cute though. Most of the clips are from Run BTS, some Bon Voyage and a little bit of In The Soop. I'd recommend you watch these series/shows if you haven't yet. Bon Voyage is a great show to watch them being themselves while on a trip, they're being quite chill but still funny and chaotic. Run BTS is just full of chaoticness, competitiveness, cheating and betrayal hahaha. In The Soop is a show where they had chill time during pandemic, trying to do things that they never get to do before (like doing art stuffs, etc). I love In The Soop so much. They cook a lot in that show that it's basically like watching a cooking show lol. Rock paper scissors is how BTS decides everything. You'd see them do a lot in their shows. About J-Hope's noise/sound effect, I remember there's one interview they did last year (can't remember which one cause they did so many interviews lol) where the editor had fun and had a counter for how many times J-Hope make sound effect during the interview lmao

The bit where the music cut out was them learning the Happy Birthday song in Arabic so they could surprise Jimin with the audience at their Saudi show (it was a couple of days before his birthday, but he was SO happy - sweetheart had no idea what was going on until they sang his name).
"In tiny" basically just means "done in a smol, small, and adorable way."

I can tell you love the boys already, but truly, once you watch Run, (particularly as the show hits its stride in the second season), you will absolutely adore them forever. Many of us in the fandom first became interested in BTS because of their music videos, but it was watching Run for the first time that really made us fall completely in love with them. It’s true that they are beautiful, talented, and charismatic. Yet, at the same time, they are such hilarious and relatable weirdos. Perfectly imperfect. 💕

Good choice on Jhopes Birthday! (Korean time 😂).... The members have said that if Namjoon leads outwards hobi does it on the inside. He's organizing, cleaning and hurrying them along if necessary but also very warm -they have their very own group dynamic. You see it on Run & Bon Voyage but also in the Bangtan Bombs and yes you will need to give this more context overall. Dunno if you saw the Jhope livestream today - he's just the cutest 🥺

joon has said many times that hobi is bts 2nd leader casue he is very organizaed with his time and sort of leads the group in many ways behind the scenes obviously on dance practices but in general he holds a leading position i the group after joon, as well as tidy and clean, he is always on time and ready for work and very profesional in all wayas. just more reasons to love him :))

You should begin watching their "RUN BTS" series (you don't need to react to it, just watch it for yourself). They just released Episode #129. It's a great way to relieve stress and laugh until you cry. If you don't want to watch all of them, be sure to watch the following episodes: 23, 41, 42, 84, and 97. All of the episodes are available on CZcams. The term "in tiny" just means to do something in a really cute way.💜💜💜

The Korean version of Rock, paper,scissors is Gawi Bawi Bo and is actually scissors, rock, paper. It's a lot more complicated than the western version and is played with two hands. If there's Gawi Bawi Bo society then they are the presidents.

Let's just say that you now have a new subscriber, haha 🥰 I really enjoy watching your reactions and appreciate your thoughtful commentary. I find that many reactors have a tendency to just stare passively at the video they're watching and not contribute much substance or commentary, so I really respect your reaction style and the way you conduct your channel. Your offer so many thoughtful, intelligent perspectives on the content you're viewing and it's really lovely to see that. I love hearing you speak as well - you're so eloquent and articulate! 💜
You mentioned in a previous video that you have only started exploring BTS in November so I would like to welcome you to the fandom! There is certainly a lot of BTS content out there so I can only imagine how overwhelming it must be for someone who is only just diving into them. If you ever feel like you need some help navigating through everything, please don't hesitate to ask!
I know you're quite busy with your thesis, however I wanted to offer a few suggestions that I thought you might find helpful in getting to know the members on a deeper, more personal level. Hoseok especially, I would argue is the most private member of the group (despite his outgoing nature). Over the years he has struggled with having to balance his idol persona "J-Hope" and the individual "Jung Hoseok," however he has recently started to peel back his layers and show us more of Jung Hoseok (such as in Blue Side). By no means am I saying that "J-Hope" is a mask that Hoseok wears, however Hoseok himself has said that he feels like he has to visibly become "J-Hope" when he's on camera. One important thing about Hoseok is that he is a born entertainer and always strives to show us the brightest, funniest sides of himself because he wants to entertain and inspire us, and be our strength and hope (he is such a sweetheart, honestly). Jin is also someone who tries to show the brighter sides of himself as well. Behind the scenes, Hoseok is a bit more toned down than what you would see in these sorts of compilation videos or on RUN (he's still of course a bubbly, friendly person, but he's quieter and more reserved). I'm sure you've probably noticed glimpses of the different sides to him (whether it be his stage persona or when he's in teacher mode). He is an incredibly multi-faceted, layered person and someone who is extremely organised, tactful, meticulous and professional. I would go as far as to say he is one of the most mature members of the group, and all the members greatly respect and admire him. This more serious, mature side of Hoseok unfortunately tends to be quite underrated and not many people truly notice it unless they take the time to really observe and get to know him. He's been my bias since I first became ARMY 5 years ago, and even now I still find him so fascinating and inspiring 🥺🥰
I think you would really enjoy watching a video called "3 Reasons J-Hope is the glue that holds BTS together." It showcases the immense role Hoseok plays in terms of his leadership and his significance in strengthening and uniting the members. Namjoon himself has actually admitted that he considers Hoseok to be the "true leader" of BTS. Hoseok selflessly does so much behind the scenes and if it wasn't for the other members hyping him up, we probably wouldn't know about it. He really is kind of like the rock and pillar of the group and helps to keep the members united. This video is definitely one of the best videos I've seen of Hoseok and I would recommend it over the "jhope dance teacher mode" video that some people have suggested to you, because not only does this video showcase him when he's leading their dance practices, but it also goes beyond that and showcases his leadership qualities outside of dance and choreography.
Another series I would like to recommend is the "Before The GRAMMY" series by JiKS Moments. There is a video dedicated to each member and they're actually not that long (about 8-9 minutes per video). They're incredibly well-made, almost documentary style videos that feature clips of the members opening up to us and sharing some of their most inner thoughts and feelings. This series is a great way to get to know the members beyond just a surface level, as they talk about their struggles and thoughts on the world and their place in it. Hoseok's especially showcases a side of his personality that not many people recognise enough. It really demonstrates his deep, intelligent mindset, his professionalism, as well as his mature ways of thinking about the world and his place in it. You will leave the video with an even deeper sense of respect and admiration for him.

Sometimes peoples' comments can provide additional background information or even correct misinformation in videos, so I do think comments can be quite valuable in that regard. With that said, I can understand how overwhelming it could be, especially when trying to balance the time it takes to film and edit content, in addition to the needs of everyday life.
