- This is Mike from @mojogrip and this is my story from having $0 as a teenager to making millions of dollars by the age of 25. My digital marketing career really started with me and my friend building a website in high school. That project lost money, but great business lessons learned. Discover how I bounced back from that loss by using scaling and arbitrage to make millions in a year.

I’m a 70-year-old entrepreneur. I follow your airplane reviews, even though I’m not a pilot. Your adventuresome spirit energizes me. Keep it going.
Wow, and what do you do?
Same. Entrepreneur at 47.
Mojo's energy and humility is exemplary. No false excitement.
finally, someone not selling nonsense to become a millionaire. love to see it
So many people being tricked into gimmicks good to hear that working hard and smart can get you there too
Sounds like you had a bunch of chances to give up, but you stuck to it and didn't quit. A lot of people fail because they quit as soon as things get tough. Keep up the great work man, really enjoy your videos.
The timing here is amazing. Last night, my 14-year-old daughter, who's a big fan of CZcams, asked me if I could meet any CZcamsr, who would it be? I told her that I would pick someone who I thought had an interesting story to tell. I literally said that it would probably be Mike from MojoGrip. I told her that you didn't fit the mold of most aviation enthusiasts (not a crusty white guy), but that you didn't let that keep you from developing a successful channel with great content. I also was curious how you were in a position to sink the kind of money into the new Sling that you have. About 12 hours later, I see this video.
Love the insight, Mike! You've got a great story - I wasn't disappointed! Hope you share it widely so as to be an inspiration to others. Keep up the great work!
Why would you think he couldn't afford a sling? Not like a $350k airplane yes it's more then a 20k car but can get a loan most people who make middle class wage could afford one just about priorities.
I got to disagree. Unless you are unmarried, have no kids, do not save for retirement, AND have free housing, there is no way a middle income person can afford a $350,000 plane (plus hangar, insurance, maintenance, etc). Yes,.it is about priorities, and if you're middle income, a $350,000 plane would be a pretty dumb one.
For Mike, it makes more sense knowing that he is a millionaire.
@@Mike-01234 I realize now that you were saying "It's not like it's a $350K airplane". But it nearly is. I recall Mike saying he put over $300K in it. Still out of my reach, and I'd consider myself upper-middle income.
Ive been following you for a while now just seeing a brother flying planes is inspiring. Now hearing your story it all makes sense. Congrats
Stay inspired! Go get that guacamole 🥑
!!!
Love the way he's rolling out his plans
Anyone else’s first time hearing he a millionaire ?
Just a comment - Being a millionaire is NOT what it used to be. It means you are comfortable - NOT rich.
Evedently, why would you start a go fund me page for a kit build airplane if your a millionaire????
@@johnnymyers999 Mikes go fund me page is obviously to help defray the costs of his making all these videos for us. He shouldn't have to do that without SOME compensation. Aircraft - even kit planes - are very very expensive. I assure you - the money for that plane didn't come from a go fund me page.
Again if you are a millionaire you shouldn't be asking people for money. P1d doesn't ask for money for his videos. Anyway I could give a shit what he does.
@@johnnymyers999 Gotcha. So - once you've earned enough money, you no longer deserve compensation for your efforts.
Man I gotta find and start hanging around people like you Mike. My friends and I do not have the same mentality and it has an effect.
I found myself in a similar spot and sought out friends who were further along in their success. Really helped to encourage me to set goals, be disciplined and do the work.
You must find a group who are willing to push. Both themselves and each other.
Myself and my CPA push each other. I keep people around who are actively improving -
Start a small business, with something you already know well. Start very small. Great way to jump into the deep end.
"you're the average of the 5 people you hang out with"
Same. I stopped hanging out with them, now am just by myself. I have met a few good friends with the right mentality at school recently, got involved a lot. Can’t wait to see how it will be next semester.
Hi Mike as a retired Commercial pilot and Director of a Civil Aviation Authority, I understand that success only comes from persistence, thank you for never giving up. Your achievements will cause many young adults to continue towards their purpose. Thank you.
I’m doing the money thing a little later in life. 43 now and own a tractor trailer. Will own several by the end of this year. Great job mike
Mike, since about 90 days I ran into this video, "from zero to millionaire at 25" I don't know if it is envy, or angry at myself for not doing like you, and I'm 66 years old, so I don't see no reason for my feelings. So for 90 days I look at this video on my laptop but only the title, can't go further, something holds me back. So I have sent my best friend, a woman who has been my friend since 1980 and saved my life twice, I sent her a long email last night with the reasons why I think I'm rejecting your video after following you from day one.
I'm also a private pilot since 1973 and my last flight was in a Grumman American tiger flying from Savanah to Miami and back with my business partner back in 1980-1981. My partner also had a long eze for a while, he was a navy pilot and had also a heli for farming. We also had a 182 family plane at Hinesville airport for a while.
But I think the problem with you is partly solved, I know it inspires me, today because of that inspiration I have a 7 pm meeting with my daughter, I'm going to propose to her an online business I've been thinking about and that came directly from looking at your picture. So, Mike, IT IS NOT ANOTHER VIDEO. It is a video that without you trying, it has powers of its own to move to provoke new thoughts in some of us. Remember, 100 people will watch and enjoy this video, and 100 people are going to have a different idea on anything on the video, and it will have a different effect on all of them. But it will be a positive influence on all 100 of them.
CZcams comments *working*
! Important
Agree with your conclusion
assuming everyone is ultra hardworking, earnest, honest moral people, you still need luck, chance and opportunity. Some things you can never emulate no matter how hard you try. We only ever hear about success stories; for every one person that succeed, there are millions who tried just as hard but didn't make it.
@@SUBATOMICRAY
Always helps to be lucky 🍀
@@SUBATOMICRAY hard work with a purpose can create opportunities. Most people work hard and don’t have a strategy or work hard and do not have an executable strategy. If anyone believes they cannot create these situations, they are right. However for those that believe they can achieve the goal when odds are against, they are right. I grew up extremely poor and was able to do fairly well. However when I speak to some people as to how I achieved success. All I hear are excuses. Then the same people who complain about money, are the same ones who buy a new cell phone for each family member. Sometimes people should listen more.. excuses are for the poor minded. Sorry to go off on a tangent but your comment is so false, I couldn’t not say something.
Ebaumsworld! That’s a blast from the past. That really takes me back. Awesome story.
Mike, thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, it is truly appreciated. Been quietly following your CZcams channel since your ppl training days in the da40 and when you had the bike in your logo. 🙂
I'm also a fellow pilot (for an airline based in Providenciales - MBPV) and former flight instructor (Trinidad and Tobago WI (TTPP) , trained in Florida at KFXE) but I've been furloughed from my airline due to Covid, so I've been looking for other ways to make money to support my family. I was originally into Computers as my BSc. is in Computing and Information Systems but it's been a while since I did anything like that.
You got me thinking about getting back into it, and I would be honored to have you guide me to do what you did.
Anyways, keep up the good work and all the best to you and your family for 2021
Stay strong brother, it will only make us stronger . Also made redundant, hustling for business idea’s.
@@iphoneupdate Thanks man. I decided to get involved with Print on demand and I signed up with Red bubble. Check it out here :

I didn't realize you had done the website development. I was introduced to your channel by aviation videos being a fellow aviator. Cool look into your background. Thanks for sharing your story!
Good story more people need to hear this. Your analysis on luck and timing seem accurate and you explanation of hard work and risk tell alot. Congrats.
Ok you just leveled up on my list of CZcams! My kid wants to be a pilot so that's how it started. Now you're going to teach us how to afford the plane and more. 👍🏾
I'm proud of you for your hard work. Keep turning your dreams into a reality. God bless and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Respect
A very humble presentation
Mike, you laid it out all on the line. This is such a truly inspirational story going from rags to riches. You never gave up on your dream and it paid off immensely. Your story wasn't fake in any way and you didn't make it sound like some type of getting rich quick scam. Hats off to you, brother!
Don’t say it’s all luck and timing, you are a very bright and motivated young man.
I love watching your aviation videos and I enjoy learning your story.
I follow your mojo grip and am also a digital marketer still on my journey.
My 2021 is to order and RV abs start building.
I can’t wait to shake your hand 🛫
Very proud of you, don’t forget your parents played a key role in all your success. I was taken out of high school because working a job making minimum wage was more important.
I would hate it if someone took credit away from me and gave it to my parents. They were nothing but detrimental to my success.
Awesome story. Love the aviation films. Really enjoyed your back story.
Your percentage numbers made me laugh. You missed a major couple. Your tenacity and work effort. Thanks for sharing. Very inspirational. 👍
Great story, thank you for sharing it.
Reminds me if the adage, "Luck is when preparedness meets opportunity". Yeah, you where "lucky", because you were prepared and you hustled. Great job!
He'll ya!!
A more humble and open narrative about the path to success I have NEVER seen. You've done well young man.
You, sir are an Animal. Much respect. I would swap the Timing and Execution portions though. You worked your ass off and made it happen. Don't discount your talents. Thanks for sharing your story in such a no-nonsense approach. Its so rare for a millionaire to share that kind of detail without selling something.
Thanks so much for sharing your story Mike, been following your aviation stories for a while and this is great to get your backstory. Congrats on life!
I was very encouraged by your journey and discussion of scale and arbitrage. Great that you moved on to the next opportunity and worked it.
That’s an amazing story sir. Wow! As I sit here watching you on my phone with a broken spine caused by another mans stupidity, I can’t help but feel some excitement hearing you speak about how you came up. Thank you for sharing. I’m also subbed to your plane channel. Peace brother
Love this video!! Been following your channel for a while and it's great to hear about your success. To some this may trigger some envy but for me it fired up my motivation. I'm an electrical engineer by trade, punching the 8-5pm shift and doing ok but the end-goal is building up my own side/permanent hustle. Thanks for sharing your story bud, much appreciated!!
Very inspiring. Came by you flying your new aeroplane and then to this. Well done to you. Keep at it. Greetings from Norway
Great life story. Looking forward to hearing the rest. It’s enjoyable to hear of highly motivated, smart and my I say humble people. The fact that you are a fellow pilot is all the better. Thank you for sharing with us.
You forgot to add "determination" in one of your factors. I went from being homeless for 3 months, sleeping under bridges, eating in soup kitchens to owning 2 companies earning over $5mm in revenue a year. Well done, it's not easy, but it can be done...
Nice story, I didn't know that about you. I love how you stressed the ten years of hard work before the payoff in one year. I'm also curious what happened after that year?
I have been following you on CZcams for quite sometime now and believe me you are awesome. That great Nigerian spirit is showing in all that you do. Keep working hard bro. The sky is your limit. But remember to give back to your roots by mentoring some young ones here having the same zeal and determination just as you are. God bless.
Thanks for sharing your story. Now it is more clear how you can afford aviation! Kudos.
What struck me are your two key traits: flexibility and perseverance. Inspiring.
Afford? He was having his AVIATION adventures PAID for through CZcams that sold ads on his Site, the young man is BRILLIANT! His SLING Aircraft was Paid for through SPONSORS, now he's opening an AIRCRAFT DEALERSHIP selling SLING Aircrafts as his FLAGSHIP product.
I was curious as to “what he’s doing now”? It seems traffic arbitrage was an opportunistic thing that lasted a few years. As with the flash games. I guess using his savings or getting investors for new ventures alone with CZcams revenue is the “current hustle”
No reason to sell yourself so short.
It's 100% you !
Nothing would have happened if you sat at home all day.
So many good ideas die due to laziness.
It's all about initiative, which you have in spades.
Congratulations on your continued success. 🍀
Incredible story Mike. Thank you for sharing.
Mike, I've been a subscriber to your aviation channel for years and have long enjoyed them. Having just found this channel of yours and learning more of your personal story, well, it's downright inspiring. Nice to know that hard work along with a great idea can take a person from zero to the heights of success regardless of their starting point. Good for you!
Can't wait to see you on the Forbes billionaire list - flying your own jet. Thanks for sharing and Godspeed, brother.
Thank you Mike for the inspiration. It is easy to get beat up and become defeated over your entrepreneurial endeavors, so learn everything you can from your roadblocks and failures, and keep your eyes open for the next opportunity. Great stuff!
Big Props to you Bruh. Love your Mojogrip channel. Loved this video. Arbitrage and scaling. Appreciate the tips. Take care from the golden state.
I just want to say Congratulations for all of that hard work. You’re so humble about your success and that’s what makes this channel awesome. Such a genuinely nice guy just doing what he loves and the success follows.
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future.
Mike is dripping with 'nice guy'. There's a lot of bad guys out there, let's see a good guy keep inspiring.
Mike, I enjoy aviation so I’m guessing the algorithms landed me on your page (pun intended). I’m really glad I found you. Your story is very inspiring. I will play “Remember the Name” by Fort Minor in your honor today 👍🏽
Mike - came from the Mojo channel - got another sub here. Keep it up man!
Very inspirational ! Thank you for passing off gems👍🏾
Great entrepreneurial story.
Timing was a factor but you slogged it out. Really well done.👍
Great video. It’s nice to learn more about you. Congratulations on all your successes.
Thank you for putting your story out there.
That is an amazing story Mojo Mike. I hav ewatyched you for over a year and just subscribed today. I want to learn abou tethArabtage and Scaling.I followed you on the aviation side. I'll be 60 in a couple months but I'm not dead yet! Time to get busy. BTW you created a beautiful airplane with the Sling TSi. It looks like a fun plane to fly. I'm a retired Corporate Captain with an ATP, A&P, AGI & IGI and rOIC (107). Looking forward to more of your videos.
Awesome! I love it when brains, hard work and luck come together to help someone succeed! I'm an instrument-rated private pilot, so I found you through your aviation videos, but I really appreciate the chance to learn how you made it all happen. I'm sure you're just getting started with more successes!
From planes to this. You are popping up everywhere. Awesome!
Good for you Mike, and congrats.
I remember learning HTML 4 for a random company and building a website on the side back in 1999. Not because it was my career path (Packaging Developer), just because I wanted to learn how to code from scratch.
Cheers.
Hi Mike! You don’t give yourself enough credit. You mention luck a few times. Anyone who is successful gets a break or two. Honestly, though, you made you’re own luck. You’ll be successful in almost all you do. You aren’t afraid to learn, work, and take risks. Well done.
Excellent post Mike. I love your can-do attitude and your spirit of trying to help others succeed. Keep up the good work.
Having a vision, and knowing what to do when you don't have one, is critical. I had vision....but no luck, timing, or capability to execute. I didn't know what I wanted in High School....but I knew I loved transportation and I discovered aviation. I went to College for professional flying.....but didn't have the Calculus skills....nor the social skills....to succeed in my first year. So I went to another College for Aircraft Maintenance. Loved that, and graduated with Honors and Sept 11 events. Didn't have the social networking skills to overcome that downturn...so I ended up in automotive parts industry. Finally got my private pilot license.....then the market crash of 2008. "Connections" in the airline industry promised to help get me a job in maintenance but none ever lifted a finger, and after more than 10 years, my education was 'too old' to be hireable. Then things started looking up, I had a great 2nd job and I renewed my PPL and began pursuing professional flying once more.....I realized I had the real talent for it....just not the mindset for a successful airline job, so my intent was to stay in the General Aviation sector. Then Covid happened. Now I'm turning 40 and feeling totally hopeless, still stuck in the automotive job for the last 20 years. Even if next year I can get that 2nd job again.....my prospects for flying have changed drastically from career path, to mental and physical state of being.
We need to encourage young people to follow your footsteps. You will be great role model!
Man, this is such an inspirational video. Thanks for making it. I watch your aviation videos and love the fact that you're a brother in the skies. This video added a new dimension and aspect to you that made me respect you even more so. Not because you made bank, but because you're smart, hard working and was savvy enough to notice the opportunities and then capitalized on them. Godspeed, Mike and continue to succeed!
That's one area of computers i wish I understood more of. I can do custom water cooled loops and make my own custom 3D printer but websites is a whole other world to me.
Great video, I am a entrepreneur in Real Estate but also moving into the tech space. Terrified of flying but love the idea of it. Found you from your flight videos. Cool to find your channel here.
Awesome job, Mike! Great story and glad you made it happen!
Just found this video. Been watching your MOJOGRIP for almost two years. Congrats on your new plane. Glad to see you got a hanger at LZU. I’ve been also looking for hanger space down in the CVC area - might have to look into LZU an hour away from me. Are you going to show us the trip to bring it home?
Very cool to hear your story Mike. I had no idea! Props to you my friend
Wow, Mike! Like I said the other day, I just found you on CZcams and it gives me so much inspiration, Man! Thanks a bunch for sharing that story. Cheers from Brazil!
definitely, your story is motivating and inspirational
This was extremely inspiring young man!!! I'm in IT as well but started in the late 80's. Thank you so much for sharing your story! Young people nowadays need this! I'm also looking to finally get into flying. It's a little late but better late than never. :) God Bless brother!
Mike, I follow you on your Mojo airplane channel. Your secret to success is really out there for everyone. The secret is you made the right choices in life , so many young people follow the crowd and do stupid things. You focus on improving your life and had the self discipline to keep learning everyday. Great video, keep moving upwards. I hope other young people learn from this video . Keep getting it done.
Great story! Admirable! Inspiring! I wish you continued success and many many hours of flying! All the best! 👏🏽
Great story, you deserve all of it! But two important credits you deserve you did not mention: 1) not being a victim 2) believing in making something for yourself and not giving up. Congratulations!
Love your aviation videos but this is one of my favorites that you have published. I love hearing honest stories of success.
Thank you for sharing, I am really inspired by this, I also appreciate the way you broke it down and made it easier to relate with.
Hello Mike. Respect from 🇧🇩
Just want you to know that I'm nearly 40 and you motivated me to pursue my dreams of flying. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing Mike! This is very interesting! Happy New year!
Shucks, I had hoped you funded that plane and lifestyle from your YT videos and interviews. Hat off to you to make it happen the hard way. And your interviews and reviews are a pleasure to watch. Great to see someone make their dreams come true.
It was partially funded with a gofundme that he setup. Can you imagine a millionaire asking people for $?
Great story mike .i remember being told that preparation comes before the promotions &that you were. I enjoyed your airplane videos & pretty much assumed that you were involved in the music or recording industry . My wife & think that you look a little like the young sensational preacher Travis Greene . What an inspirational story!
I had no idea Mike, well done. I just watched your channel for the good aviation content and this popped up in my suggestions 🙂👍!
Good going, you are fearless!
Love the color of your plane
Love your story and staying humble. Thanks for sharing.
Love the passion there...searched/add you on FB and just love all the flying and inspiration...👌🙏🙏
Cheers for sharing so frankly Mike. Well done mate, more success to you with your future ventures.
I bet it was at least 40% personality and giving good phone! (I dig your flying channel.)
That's crazy! I am a pilot and that's how I found you. And I've actually just started learning coding because I want a career change. You have some awesome interests.
Tell me more about the 10:00 period. What was the magazine website that you built? How did you find people to sell ad space to?
Great video. Thank you for the time and insight
I really appreciate you sharing this Mike!
MOJO GRIP ! Knew I recognized you. Cool story
Great story Mike!Love it.Happy New year to u and your family.Lookin forward to new videos this year.John....Ireland
Great story Mike. I'm on your other two channels. But I didn't know about this one. Thanks for sharing.
That's fantastic! Good for you Mike. Class act.
What a good story, thanks for sharing. Proves if you are hungry enough, and get some breaks that you take advantage of, it can pay off. Going to have my 16 yr old watch this. And yes he loves airplanes too
Mike, now you have a new nick name, Money Mike! Anyhow, great video and thanks for sharing.
You’re a smart kid Michael! And as a fellow pilot, love your MojoGrip plane channel. If you’re ever in Tampa, FL come fly with me, we’ll go. Urn some holes in the sky in my Pitts Model 12. Keep up the awesome work! 👍
I think you forgot what percentage of just plain hard work contributed to your success . Congratulations!
Cool to learn about your backstory. I had no idea how you evolved. So cool to hear your story. Congrats MJG Mike!
Loved this! I'm a digital marketer and I buy lots of traffic for clients. Would love to learn more about arbitrage for my own campaigns. How can I learn from you @mike?
Impressive. Success is hard at times. Youth tends to hide that. I find your approach and humility as an outstanding example of how things should be approached by a lot of us. I know things were not as easy as you described and you have a drive to succeed.
Truly an amazing and inspiring story. Congratulations and continued success!!!!!!!!!!
You're the men brother! Keep up the work. I'm highly inspired by you! subscribed.
i love your videos man. great story.
