  • This is Mike from ‪@mojogrip‬ and this is my story from having $0 as a teenager to making millions of dollars by the age of 25. My digital marketing career really started with me and my friend building a website in high school. That project lost money, but great business lessons learned. Discover how I bounced back from that loss by using scaling and arbitrage to make millions in a year.

    The timing here is amazing. Last night, my 14-year-old daughter, who's a big fan of CZcams, asked me if I could meet any CZcamsr, who would it be? I told her that I would pick someone who I thought had an interesting story to tell. I literally said that it would probably be Mike from MojoGrip. I told her that you didn't fit the mold of most aviation enthusiasts (not a crusty white guy), but that you didn't let that keep you from developing a successful channel with great content. I also was curious how you were in a position to sink the kind of money into the new Sling that you have. About 12 hours later, I see this video.
    Love the insight, Mike! You've got a great story - I wasn't disappointed! Hope you share it widely so as to be an inspiration to others. Keep up the great work!

      Why would you think he couldn't afford a sling? Not like a $350k airplane yes it's more then a 20k car but can get a loan most people who make middle class wage could afford one just about priorities.

    • @unlisted773
      @unlisted773 Před 3 lety +8

      I got to disagree. Unless you are unmarried, have no kids, do not save for retirement, AND have free housing, there is no way a middle income person can afford a $350,000 plane (plus hangar, insurance, maintenance, etc). Yes,.it is about priorities, and if you're middle income, a $350,000 plane would be a pretty dumb one.
      For Mike, it makes more sense knowing that he is a millionaire.

    • @unlisted773
      @unlisted773 Před 3 lety +2

      @@Mike-01234 I realize now that you were saying "It's not like it's a $350K airplane". But it nearly is. I recall Mike saying he put over $300K in it. Still out of my reach, and I'd consider myself upper-middle income.

    Mike, since about 90 days I ran into this video, "from zero to millionaire at 25" I don't know if it is envy, or angry at myself for not doing like you, and I'm 66 years old, so I don't see no reason for my feelings. So for 90 days I look at this video on my laptop but only the title, can't go further, something holds me back. So I have sent my best friend, a woman who has been my friend since 1980 and saved my life twice, I sent her a long email last night with the reasons why I think I'm rejecting your video after following you from day one.
    I'm also a private pilot since 1973 and my last flight was in a Grumman American tiger flying from Savanah to Miami and back with my business partner back in 1980-1981. My partner also had a long eze for a while, he was a navy pilot and had also a heli for farming. We also had a 182 family plane at Hinesville airport for a while.
    But I think the problem with you is partly solved, I know it inspires me, today because of that inspiration I have a 7 pm meeting with my daughter, I'm going to propose to her an online business I've been thinking about and that came directly from looking at your picture. So, Mike, IT IS NOT ANOTHER VIDEO. It is a video that without you trying, it has powers of its own to move to provoke new thoughts in some of us. Remember, 100 people will watch and enjoy this video, and 100 people are going to have a different idea on anything on the video, and it will have a different effect on all of them. But it will be a positive influence on all 100 of them.

I grew up extremely poor and was able to do fairly well. However when I speak to some people as to how I achieved success. All I hear are excuses. Having a vision, and knowing what to do when you don't have one, is critical. I had vision....but no luck, timing, or capability to execute. I didn't know what I wanted in High School....but I knew I loved transportation and I discovered aviation. I went to College for professional flying.....but didn't have the Calculus skills....nor the social skills....to succeed in my first year. So I went to another College for Aircraft Maintenance. Loved that, and graduated with Honors and Sept 11 events. Didn't have the social networking skills to overcome that downturn...so I ended up in automotive parts industry. Finally got my private pilot license.....then the market crash of 2008. "Connections" in the airline industry promised to help get me a job in maintenance but none ever lifted a finger, and after more than 10 years, my education was 'too old' to be hireable. Then things started looking up, I had a great 2nd job and I renewed my PPL and began pursuing professional flying once more.....I realized I had the real talent for it....just not the mindset for a successful airline job, so my intent was to stay in the General Aviation sector. Then Covid happened. Now I'm turning 40 and feeling totally hopeless, still stuck in the automotive job for the last 20 years. Even if next year I can get that 2nd job again.....my prospects for flying have changed drastically from career path, to mental and physical state of being.

    Just found this video. Been watching your MOJOGRIP for almost two years. Congrats on your new plane. Glad to see you got a hanger at LZU. I’ve been also looking for hanger space down in the CVC area - might have to look into LZU an hour away from me. Are you going to show us the trip to bring it home?

    Mike, I follow you on your Mojo airplane channel. Your secret to success is really out there for everyone. The secret is you made the right choices in life , so many young people follow the crowd and do stupid things. You focus on improving your life and had the self discipline to keep learning everyday. Great video, keep moving upwards. I hope other young people learn from this video . Keep getting it done.

    Great story, you deserve all of it! But two important credits you deserve you did not mention: 1) not being a victim 2) believing in making something for yourself and not giving up. Congratulations!

    Shucks, I had hoped you funded that plane and lifestyle from your YT videos and interviews. Hat off to you to make it happen the hard way. And your interviews and reviews are a pleasure to watch. Great to see someone make their dreams come true.

    Great story mike .i remember being told that preparation comes before the promotions &that you were. I enjoyed your airplane videos & pretty much assumed that you were involved in the music or recording industry . My wife & think that you look a little like the young sensational preacher Travis Greene . What an inspirational story!
