The snow, bird feeders, fetching water, sap from trees, solitude, solace, sharing, connection, celebration of life & sharing produce and food with family. You have your health and vitality (thank goodness) & can take care of yourselves. Red meat not part of my life for decades, but the wonder and glory of the woods & wild lands has been with me since I was an early teen. LIfe changes though, unexpectedly & hopefully you adapt when needed, & for now you enjoy the pace and travel. I'd share a pineapple & melon (I got at the store) if I could.
Seeing the cabin make me miss the family cabin we use to have my wife, kids , and I have so many memories from our cabin we talk of it often some day I can afford another

Everyone got fooled with the warm weather in Canada. Out west and down east. While watching all the videos, I was saying to myself....it's ONLY MARCH everyone and everyone seemed to forget the saying: "In like an lion out like a lamb". So after our warm weather, here in Alberta, we got dumped on. 3 days of solid snow storms. We got 32cms of snow and after 4 days we finally were able to leave our driveway and ESCAPE. ha ha PS: I certainly do not miss shoveling the 'heavy stuff' you get down there. No sir ree!!

I spent 3 years in Alaska when I was in the USAF, so snow doesn't really bother me. I also spent a week at North Bay at the NORAD facility. I would love to spend a month in your environment-- I enjoy everything associated with off-grid living-- plus I've never got to ride a snow mobile... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Pete !!!

I would love to live in a small cabin on a remote Island but I have to settle for living on a larger Island in Washington State which I enjoy. Not quite as remote but still nice. We had to give up on bird feeders because they attracted rodents that end up under our house and the humming bird feeders attracted wasps and bees that my wife is allergic too so unfortunately we stay away from them even though I love living in the wilderness myself. Loved the video❤.

Yes I was a bit unclear about that. We co-own the island but this cabin is ours. There are 9 cabins on our island 👍🏻

Amazing how that sap pours like it's water. I figured it would be all sticky and slow pouring. Sure would love to see the whole inside of the cabin. We see the living area and kitchen but not bedrooms or bathroom. Do you guys have an indoor bathroom? I enjoyed watching when you built the shed for the freezer and storage. But if you feel showing the rest of the cabin is too personal for you guys, totally understand.
