@kandyman5315 Great Video!! Lots of good knowledge was shared, especially on the distance to the panel and fan pattern shape. Something that is usually missed in most reviews. You are absolutely correct that changing the settings does make the gun deviate from the intended performance characteristic. We look forward to seeing your thoughts on the WS-400 variations! Keep up the good work! Thanks Anest Iwata Refinish!
I didn’t realize the ws400 was 15 years old. The way you break down the cars to do the jams and doors inside and out at the same time makes the most sense to me. Nobody in my town does that.
Watching your videos makes me wanna get back into painting again. I can paint really well. I’ve been out of the industry for a long time and I’m 46 now lol. I miss working in a body shop and I miss the satisfaction of seeing your work and feeling the satisfaction as well
It's about time you good folks over the pond got your hands on the Series 2 as it's a fantastic gun, I got mine 1 month after the first release mine is the WS400 Series 2 1.3HD Digital clear and it's important with the clear gun to get the split tip in the correct orientation so the slots in the tip are directly inline with each airhorn on the cap, this is all explained in the manual that comes with the gun, if it's not fitted correctly then it doesn't spray properly and this gun lays the clear like nothing else on the market👌 I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the clear gun Kandy Man🙏👍John UK
Fantastic video! I'd love to see more product reviews. Candyman, you should reach out to companies such as SATA and more to do product reviews, even special edition guns from IOWA. SATA Candyman edition guns would be fantastic. Love your videos, can't get enough of the info. Keep them coming
Nice one, We've had the series 2 for a while in the UK, some had issues with the coating on them failing but they seem to have fixed it Do you think you'll try the new vented 3M PPS cups? I found the normal PPS squeezed through crap from the base when the liner collapses, starting using Sata RPS and it solved it instantly
@@kandyman5315 cheers 🍻 mate how's my pal Brian of paint society yes kandy man there do a digital version blue cap for waterborne paint so i have been told but the green cap or gun 1.3 Et is a all rounded 2bar full fan and fluid there had a problem with the coating the coating used to peel off the gun but Iwata have sorted the problem out
I always liked the LPH400 as well as the LPH80 mini. I never tried the first WS400. I was told that it made a lot of overspray but I can not confirm thats the truth. My friend who told me though is who talked me in to switching from all Walcoms over to the three Devilbiss DV1 guns. He was using Walcom as well and switched, talked me into it and he was right about it.
I can confirm the overspray for sure. Finer atomization will always result in more overspray but the finish the WS400 puts down is unmatched by any other spray gun. Yes it will use a bit more material but it’s worth it to me. The WS400 will always be an iconic gun.
I have both... both is good if you are a faster painter go with dv1 if you like to have full control go with ls400 personally i like more ls400 dv1 is a litle strange to me only 2 turns adjust on fan or paint, very responsive on adjusting...

Can you just use the green gun for clear as well?
Not sure being it's designed for base
Is Iwata making anything close to this in a mini or midi size gun?
I hope they make them as well
Iwata ftw

What's your spray distance from gun to panel?
6-8 inches
This gun will shoot base and clear to perfection. Seen it done or I wouldn't have believed that its a one gun and done.
Brilliant job! 👍 1.3 or 1.4?
1.3
You’re not blending into the hood and adjacent panels?
We blended the fender and the quarter
Can you buy a 1.2 or 1.0 needle/cap and shoot clear with the same gun?
👊
Boa tarde a 1ª mão você da molhando e a 2ª da pulverizando
Is this gun better than the super nova. Is it easier to adjust??
Absolutely
what clear gun did you use after the ls 400 base ?

@@joe2.017 its better than I expected for that. 👊

So are they finally available in the US?

This was the first time using it time will tell 👊👊
