Everyone just sucked into the marketing. It's the same message : you can do all this stuff using a tablet. Apple chose a method that people took more literally rather than "look you can fit all these kinds of tools in a tablet" . Obviously a guitarist isn't going to play guitar on their iPad.

I think what Apple wants to convey in their commercial is how many creative things you can do with there very thin iPad. I'm pretty sure everyone gets the message that Apple was trying to convey, its just that they would have use better advertising to show their new products rather than actually crushing the instruments.
