Too many people get the parts cannon out instead of actually troubleshooting the problem. In this video i'll show you how to test the multifunction switch also known as the wiper switch to rule that out as the issue.

Great video, well done and thank you. All of the wiper off and various speeds show as correct, but that bit you started with with the ground pin 7 and + pin one, I get no change when switching to mist or wash. Could you please confirm that to do that is pin 1 and 7? Many thanks.

Great video Jerry . Better to test than firing up the parts cannon . HA HA . I have tested my share of wiper switches not just for me but other people as well . Sometimes I found the switch at fault and sometimes it was the harness . Take care my friend , say high to MJ and of course Tomcat from me please.

2011 jku 3.8, and I’m officially stumped. Wipers work but no spray. When I pull the wash it does nothing. When I pull the mist the wipers work but no mist. Originally checked tank and lines, good. Fuse, good. Checked continuity to pump, good. Replaced with new oem pump, and nothing. Figured it had to be the switch so followed your video ad I have perfect continuity to every pin through all motions, including wash and mist. Any ideas? I greatly appreciate it!

Have you checked pump for power when trying to activate it ?

I have not done that, I’ll see if the wife can engage it while I check for continuity. Thanks for the input! I’ll update!

@@zachmcwilliams8412 you are not checking for continuity you are checking for voltage those are 2 separate things

@@TestDontguess ok that may be my issue. What setting should I have the multimeter at for that specifically? Admittedly, electronics aren’t my strong suit…. Thanks for the help so far btw.
