- The Ninja Foodi Soup Maker & Blender (HB150UK) which is also sold in the US as the Foodi Heat-iQ Blender (HB150C/HB152) promises a lot! It says it can be used to make smooth and chunky soup, ice cream, jam, sauces, dips, hot chocolate and frozen drinks, but how many of those is it actually GOOD at?
In this video I put it to the test, not just making soup but also trying out its other capabilities. I share with you its design flaws and the things it doesn't do well as well as some of its surprising successes.

I recently bought this for my mother who is medically fragile and find it really is a gem with making healthy food, very tasty so far. I made carrots puree that tasted like sweet potatoes and have enjoyed the manual cook mode which gives a person control over the cook. I am still learning how to use it but so far the two things I wish it did, would take a smaller smoothie cup to make my mother individual healthy shakes and a boil only button to be able to reconstitute chilis for mexican dishes or make noodles. But overall very happy, it actually is more versatile with the heat function than the Vitamix I had for years.
Interesting to hear, thank you for the comment!
Thank you for this video, Clara, and for reporting some clear observations. It feels like the news at 10 😅
I’ve just bought one on eBay for £50 seems like it will turn this single dad’s life around. Get some veg in my son too! Will try the freezer to see if ice cream function can be better. Because I love cream and chocolate and sugar frozen all together. Will check your to the point other reviews, too. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment it’s really appreciated. I have to say the Ninja Creami is really excellent for quick but healthy ice cream, so worth considering. The only downside is no two ways about it, it does spend six months in the cupboard…. But then Christmas decorations spend 11 months in the loft! 😆🤷♀️
Thanks looking for a smoothie maker
Thanks for doing this review. I was wondering if the clean function it has is enough? I don't want old spinach from my soup floating around my hot chocolate! Torn between this and the Tefal perfectmix which has a removable blade.
Amazingly the clean cycle has always done the job for me (last used my blender on Friday, so it gets a lot of use) but the Tefal sounds interesting, I will check it out!
I only ever buy refurbished ninja and never had a problem.
A nutribullit and a soup maker that will do me.
Interesting how the UK and US versions have different functions or perhaps same function but labelled differently?
I’m intrigued, what function do you have/not have?
@CandidClara I haven't purchased it but noticed UK version has a jam function whereas US has dip/sauce, UK version doesn't have the ice cream either. You can see the differences by zooming in on the units
@@CandidClara US also has extract function and water infuser functions
what is the black attachment have on the table of ur video. and how many attachments do u get in box on the instructions leaflet it say D andE i have 1 but not the other than u
I believe you are referring to the cleaning brush? You should get that and a damper tool for pushing things down in the jug
Hai solo parlato tu senza far sentire il funzionamento del blender.
Yeah, that’s just the way it works round here 🤷♀️
