Such an amazing, powerful presentation evidence for replicable improvement in our schools marginalized use you most need our help. This was three years ago. I'm very curious where this genius educator's work and his science have lead him. Thank you!!

I read Mr. Fryer's article in the Fall 2014 Issues in Science and Technology, then found my way here to watch the presentation. The article is fantastic, but not so detailed as here in the presentation.
_It_is_so_totally_frustrating_ that the camera tends to focus more on Mr. Fryer than the slides. The slides deserve detailed inspection and consideration, NOT MR. FRYERS face! I want to stare at the slides while he describes them. Argh. So frustrating.

I'm surprised that he didn't even mention genetics. Let's be honest here, any comprehensive discussion about racial differences must include genetics, because it is such a big factor that he is completely ignoring, just because some people may find it offensive. Just because it's offensive does not mean it's not true.

Powerful and revealing presentation chock full of facts and critical reasoning. I wonder how his educational model did in the subsequent years. Also, this was certainly a precursor to Thomas Sowell's recent book making the case for charter schools.

That guy at about 1:15:00 that makes a comment about the American educational system being "..obsessed with english and mathematics.."
I cant even... what? Would he rather that people didnt know how to quantify their surroundings and if you asked them whats wrong they then couldnt express themselves in any meaningful way using language? Would he rather live in a world where people are confused that 3 is not 4 but they cant express themselves with anything more than meaningless monosyllabic grunts?
    What a f*cking ridiculous question!

what we need is less of a corporate non-individualized sterile environment in schools/education and more attention and care at home. Less stress and competition and more empathy, help/care consideration for kids/students.
