The easiest way to build on one side of the page is to use the Strap which is explained in Tutorial 9 (It's also possible, though not so easy, to build on one side by using the Automatic Pull-strip - Tutorial 16.). There is a boat design in Tutorial 32. If you want to explore other possibilities Tutorial 14 might be helpful.
Hello Mr. Birmingham - I recently just started watching your video tutorials on how to make pop-ups. I will be making an interactive album of my Dad's family going back to my great grandfather. I would like to have a pop-up of the home where he grew up, but it's proving quite a challenge. I was wondering if I sent you a picture of the house, you could give me some pointers on what types of mechanisms would be involved in making this house? Thank you
