      @whackeryounis Pƙed 24 dny +2

      But at the same time, fans don’t know what it’s like or what it takes to run a football club. His perspective is actually useful. A lot goes on behind the scenes that we're not privy to so any insight imo is useful. And you say he has defended the owner's when he has criticised them as well. Imo he's just trying to explain what might be going through their heads because he'll have some experience himself.
      Ppl jump on him because he doesn't back their viewpoint. The one thing he is right about is when you own a business you have to take risks. Time will tell if it works. Fans are volatile and Chelsea fans even proved that by asking for poch to go for the majority of the season then suddenly switch at the end?
      A new manager comes and does well, no one will care about what's just happened
      For all the criticism you can have at the new owners, yes they made mistakes at the beginning but the sale was last minute and they were learning on the job. They pretty much bought a new team. Some transfers were questions e.g. mudryk but then they got Palmer, Jackson, gusto, nkuku, caciedo etc. Imo they've accelerated the process of a revamp by doing what most would do over 6 years, in 2 so it seems drastic
      And finally, for the love of God will Chelsea fans stop saying it's Bohley. Making us sound stupid. Edbahli has been the main guy behind the scenes and we've known that for ages.

    Simon Jordan uses the top 6 finish etc to suggest Chelsea are not a mess and then uses the same details against Poch to say he's not good enough. Supposedly at the start of the season Laurence and Winstanley did a thorough search, their words, to appoint Pocchetino and now Chelsea, with their very clear vision, don't think he's the right coach for their project 10 months later.
    They've already hired one yes man in Potter and that was awful to put it mildly. Chelsea are in a big mess mostly because they've wasted far too much money and are having to sell off anything they can. ie. their training ground, Conor Gallagher and I doubt Poch was going to put up with that.

After seeing a progression with Pochettino in recent months there was some foundations where you could argue ok, let him manage and have a influence on the 2/3 players they need which is obviously not the case, (Cf) although Jackson was improving towards the end to then not back him is criminal. What has changed? A lot. Roman never gutted the whole squad of PL/UCL winning players overnight then filled the team of young inexperienced kids. For Pochettino to moulded these inexperienced kids into a team and take them from 12th to 6th shows they were going in the right direction. Especially when you consider in the second half of the season they were 4th, only gaining 2 points less than Liverpool. To suggest Pochettino didn’t have them on the trajectory for top 4 is ridiculous. So now they have got rid of a proven PL top 4 manager and are possibly about to replace him with an inexperienced Championship manager. Have they learned nothing from the Graham Potter debacle? Funnily enough when Tuchel left Chelsea they were 6th and when Pochettino left Chelsea they were 6th. Tuchel has the best PL winning percentage under Boehly and Poch the second best. Potter nearly got Chelsea relegated. Poch had Chelsea neck and neck with Klopp’s Liverpool for points in the second half of the season. Poised for a top 4, probably top 3, finish next season. So let’s blow it all up again and put these kids into the hands of a Championship manager. There is no balance in what Chelsea is doing or have done for the last 2 years. They just destroyed Pochettino's work to start over. This is a very young squad that just started to understand and respond to the manager, and now they are asking them to start over with a different manager

      @@PeterObi-wm6uf Chelsea has sacked managers who won titles, and yet here are fans saying they are shocked at the departure of a manager who scraped into 6th with the highest goals conceded in Chelsea Premier League history. People need to stop overrating the last five games as if there was some miracle surge of form. Spurs was the only team above Chelsea on the table, and they were having their own crisis. And Chelsea didn't exactly crush the others. We needed two late goals to see off Forest, and would have drawn the last game except for Solanke missing an open goal from two yards out in injury time. I would have been ok if Poch was given another year, but I'm not shocked about what has happened. Poch seems like a very nice guy, but there's no room for sentiment in high level professional sport.

    From a neutral perspective, the only net short term positive, that the owner of the club have done is buy Cole Palmer. However Palmer's talent was nurtured by Pochettino. The other signings might eventually turn good, but they overpaid. If I was a Chelsea fan, its great that they are focusing on the long term, but they completely neglected the short term. There needs to be a balance of addressing the current needs versus long term development/investment (future needs = luxary wonderkid players). Clearly, if you can see they have no idea about running a football club as everything they have done is what a Private Equity firm would do, cut the fat, become highly leveraged, borrow tons of money or going into debt to buy future/long term assets. The owners should set the budget and yet the experts select the manager and players, and they should focus on building a new stadium and expanding commercial/sponsorship opportunities.

Perhaps Poch wants the Bayern Munich job? He has already said he would love to go back to Tottenham, Tottenham FFS!
    Not all Chelsea fans will be sad to see him go but it all rests on who comes next. If Tuchel comes in (very doubtful) Poch will be forgotten instantly but if we get a young manager who hasn't any experience with top flight clubs there will be problems.
