I love Steve Aoki, but he had minimum input on this song. It was fire before he hopped on, and even had a dance break. They also did a feature on this song with Desiingner. I know a lot of people get shook with Mic Drop after hearing their pop stuff, and tend to mistakenly attribute it to Aoki, but that's what these boys do on the regular, with or without other (Western) artists.
I like Mic Drop, but it's still pop IMO (hip pop). If you like the rappers (there are 3: RM, Suga, J Hope) they have their own mix tapes and do songs together as the "rap line".
    Rap line songs:
    - Ddaeng
    - Outro: Tear
    - Ugh
    - Cyphers 1-4
    Solo spots on BTS albums
    - Persona (RM)
    - Shadow (Suga)
    - EGO (J Hope)
Some of the rappers' solo stuff:
    - Daetchwita, Agust D, The Last (self titled song and mixtapes) - Suga/ Agust D (the 2nd rapper in the video)
    - Joke, Awakening, Do You (RM - leader of BTS and the rapper coming out of the ambulance)
    - Chicken Noodle Soup Remix with Becky G, Airplane, Daydream...shoo his whole Hope World Mix tape is fire - J Hope (the first rapper; my bias but I love them all)

I see someone already pointed out that Steve did not make this beat, only remixed it (and he KILLED the remix), so let's see... the song was produced by Pdogg, who is one of Big Hit's in house producers and has been there since I think the beginning? and has won production awards, and the song was written by Pdogg, Supreme Boi, Hitman Bang (Big Hit's founder/CEO), J-Hope, and RM. BIg Hit has had a small team of in house producers that you can see have worked alongside BTS since the beginning. Along with Hitman Bang, Pdogg, and Supreme Boi, there's Slow Rabbit, Hiss Noise, and ADORA (those are the OG Big Hit producers, I'm not super sure if there's more these days since the company has grown so much. I have to assume there are, but this group works with BTS the most, especially Pdogg). You'll usually see these names, along with BTS member names, when you look up the production/writing team for songs, though they will also work with outside producers as well. There's a site called doolsetbangtan who gives some of the best translations in the community, and they also list the producers/writers for each song as well :)
As far as MV directors, I know it's not always the same director, but I'm not sure if they work with one more than others.. maybe another ARMY has that info, but you can look in the info box of their videos and find the MV team like that ^^
I'm glad you guys like our boy's music so much! There's a song for any mood, lol, and each member is extremely hard working, and it shows ^^ Hope you have a great time on your journey! and I hope BTS can keep bringing you happiness vuv

RM and Suga both come from underground rap (the third and second rapper). RM was involved in a lot of rap battles and was locally famous from age 14 onward. Suga comes from a very poor family and started writing and producing as a kid.
He sold tracks on the streets and was initially signed solely as a producer. He makes tracks for other artists as well (IU 'eight', Epik High 'Eternal Sunshine'..)
RM is the main songwriter of BTS, responsible for maybe 90% of all the lyrics aside from the parts of the other rappers. He is the person in korea with the most songs credited to him as a writer under KOMCA.
Jhope (first one) was a street dancer.
Mic Drop doesn't really allow them to show what they can do as rappers. (The original korean version has better lyrics as well, they changed a lot to english here. Only RM speaks English.)
You should listen to the track 'Ugh' for that.
All three rappers have their own mixtapes. Hip hop tracks by BTS I recommend:
    Interlude: Shadow
    Ugh
    Daechwita (Agust D)
    Silver Spoon
    Ddaeng
    Hangsang (J-hope)
    Cypher pt. 3

The second and third rapper, Suga and RM both come from underground rap.
Suga started writing and producing as a kid, grew up poor and sold his tracks on the streets as a teen. Judging by your intro you will like him the most. He is very raw, especially on his mixtapes. He was initially signed only as a producer.
RM was a locally famous battle rapper. He is the main songwriter for BTS and responsible for maybe 90% of the lyrics aside from the parts of the other rappers.

    Jump
If you want to get to know them as people the introduction 'Who is BTS' by Suga&Spice is still the best.
The next best thing is 'the most beautiful life goes on, a story of BTS' by Asian theory.
BTS are often called K-pop', the stereotypes associated with that label couldn't be further from the truth for them. To dive into that BTS vs Kpop dynamic maybe check out the video 'the mistreatment of BTS'. They were utter underdogs in the korean industry and constantly sabotaged by power players.

I mean I did give a run down of the boys in the dynamite reaction but here u go again
Ok this will be very long to read so have a seat
The group and how it all started.
BTS debuted in 2013 with their single, “No More Dream,” from their album, 2 Cool 4 Skool. Since then, the Bulletproof Boy Scouts have become one of the most well-known boy bands in the world, with sold-out tours, seven studio albums and more number-one hits than we can count. The band and its members have even collaborated with artists like Halsey, Becky G, Desiigner and Steve Aoki. In 2020, the Bangtan Boys became the first K-pop act to perform at the Grammys. The boys were featured in Lil Nas X’s performance of “Old Town Road.”
The group has seven members with the oldest being the visual kim Seokjin and the youngest Jeon Jungkook
But let's introduce them in the order they came and form this group with RM the leader
    Occupation: Rapper; songwriter; record producer
    Born: Kim Nam-joon; September 12, 1994
    (age 26)
RM formerly known as Rap Monster, but his monstrous skills go beyond that of K-pop.😌 his IQ is 148 and he ranked within the highest 1.3 percent in the country in Korea's College Scholastic Ability Test, the nation's university entrance examinations. And learn english on his own from watching friends with his mom
    .
RM was the first to become a trainee at BTS’ management company, Big Hit Entertainment, in 2010,He was 16 at the time. He became a trainee after Sleepy, a rapper he had met on another audition, encouraged him to audition for Big Hit Entertainment CEO, Bang Si-hyuk, who offered him a spot as a trainee. After RM’s audition, Bang and Big Hit Entertainment producer Pdogg decided to start a hip hop group, which marked the beginning of BTS.
He was born in Dongjak-gu, South Korea, and grew up in Ilsan-gu, where his family moved when he was four or five. He is the elder of two siblings.
Second member to join was Min Yoongi also know as suga as well as August D on his solo mix tapes
    Occupation: Rapper; songwriter; record producer
Born: Min Yoon-gi; March 9, 1993 (age 28); Buk District, Daegu, South Korea
    Genres: Hip hop; K-pop; R&B
Yoongi is a member of the Yeoheung Min Clan, a very powerful clan Clan during Joseon dynasty. ... The article states that during a V-Live, Suga confirmed the fact, adding that his family belonged to a high ranking within the clan,
His parents never supported him in his dream to make music his career in the first place as his dad was strict and wanted both of his sons to study and work in a civil job. When he was around 17-18 years old, he didn't have enough money to take the bus to his home if he got himself a meal for $2.
And he became the next member to join BTS. He started as a producer for Big Hit Entertainment after he auditioned for a rap competition, called “Hit It,” hosted by Big Hit Entertainment. Suga didn’t win the competition-he placed second-but he impressed Big Hit Entertainment’s executives enough for them to offer him a place as a producer and a trainee. Suga became a member of BTS in 2010 when he was 17. He’s said interviews that Big Hit Entertainment’s CEO, Bang Si-hyuk, tricked him into joining the band by telling him that he wouldn’t have to dance and would only need to focus on rapping. (Thank you pd-nim)
The third member to join BTS was Jung Hoseok also known as Jhope our sunshine
Born: February 18, 1994 (age 27 years), Ilgok-dong, Gwangju, South Korea
Occupation: rapper, songwriter, dancer, and record producer. In
Before debuting with BTS, he was part of the underground dance team Neuron and took dance classes at Gwangju Music Academy for six years, from 4th grade to his 1st year in high school, when he signed his contract with Big Hit Entertainment.
Jhope became a Big Hit Entertainment trainee after a failed audition with JYP Entertainment, another management company. He was accepted as a Big Hit Entertainment trainee and moved to Seoul to train at the end of 2010 when he was 15 years old. The reason why BTS’ three rappers, J-Hope, Suga and RM, were the first to join was because the band was originally supposed to be a hip-hop group similar to YG Entertainment’s 1TYM. When Big Hit Entertainment’s CEO decided that BTS would be better as a more traditional idol group that fans could look up, the band reorganized with the addition of four singers. And after become BTS Jhope wrote his solo piece on the wings album MAMA dedicating it to his mother because he thinks at some point, he has disappointed her. 🥺🥺🥺
The forth member to join the group was no other than, world wide handsome/ world wide cutie guy, aka the group visual Kim Seokjin also know as jin.
    Born: December 4, 1992 (age 28), Gwacheon-si, South Korea
    Occupation: singer, songwriter.
Before debuting with BTS in March 2013, Jin worked as a model. He modeled for, and endorsed, ETUDE HOUSE, a popular South Korean cosmetics brand.
P.S in-site (The makeup company praised Jin in a tweet just three months before he debuted with BTS.)

BTS at their core id say is hiphop even still, they did a reality tv show back in 2015 that had them living in LA basically being mentored by artists like Coolio and Warren G to learn the history of hip-hop, now they no longer allow their music to be limited to one genre they make the kind of music they feel like making

Jhope and the crew at BigHit wrote this beat Steve Aoki embellished it.I think the real distinction is this they add more English to this in the chorus and in some of the rap verses. BTS and the team at Big Hit write their own stuff a lot of the time or take songs sent to them and write Korean adaptions the only exception is Dynamite they kept as it
Also, yes and no most of their videos are shot by Lumpens lumpens.com/tag/music-video/?ckattempt=1
This however was Woogie Kim from GDW I'm pretty sure but I could be wrong
