    In Volca Bass you can't record motion into the sequencer and NuBass you can do it and this was very important to me when I chose NuBass...

    I always appriciate people like you, who compare (simulair hardware). There are people like me and others who are not owning sucha device and having the intention to buy the one or the other, that can be saved, from 'wasting' money and or 'regrets/dissapoinment'. So thumbs DOWN, for all those thumbs down on this video and a BIG thumbs up for making this video. Thanks man!

    I use the Bass for melodic stuff more than bass these days.
    Having 3 independent oscillators makes it a flexible lil bit of kit.

      nah, it definitely sounds good but for other genres. like where you need that smooth bass similar to moog where amplitude drops with high resonance and stuff which is more controllable. but yea, the vBass rocks my socks each time i power it up. cant stop hacking it to death, a project that will keep me busy for some years now

    • @kern_musicc
      @kern_musicc Před 3 lety +1

      L'electribe c'est pas forcément le meilleur bail pour acidcore et tt ça mais c'est une très bonne machine et pas trop difficile en vérité.
      Si tu veut vrmt des gros sonns acid style tb303 y a la td3 de berhinger qui est une très bonne réplique de la 303 mais aux alentours de 150e, sinon la volca bass est aussi très bien mais différente, et plus polyvalente

    It does seem like the bass sweet spots are really small, for that liquid sound. I wish they'd improve that somehow

  • @symbiat0
    @symbiat0 Před 4 měsíci

    To be fair, that bass line in Blade sounds more acidic, like a 303, so the Nubass should be more able to closely match it… 🤔

    Volca Bass has more nuances in it's sound range . The Nubass sounds are more synthetic in nature and clearly has less of that classic "dirty" analog sound

    • @RobyUanKeRoby
      @RobyUanKeRoby  Před 4 lety

      I don't have much experience with analog drum machines, mostly i use Digital drums. But if i can pick One, that will be the Moog DFAM. Second would be the Elektron Analog Rytm, but that's a bit more on the pricey side, you can buy 4 DFAM for that price 😂

    I think there's something wrong with your gain staging dude, your levels are really low. The Bass and Nubass should be level-matched for this comparison at least regardless of their output levels.

    • @RobyUanKeRoby
      @RobyUanKeRoby  Před 4 lety +3

      I appreciate your thoughts. But i feel that let ppl listen to the real gain of the unit would be more fair. I'm not doing this vids for commercial purpose, so i prefer to let the thing play as they do, without "cheating" on levels. The overall gain is right, isn't it?

    • @RobyUanKeRoby
      @RobyUanKeRoby  Před 4 lety +1

      Also if you try raise the gain of the Nubass, it will start to hiss badly. The gain is incredible low.

      @@RobyUanKeRoby Very interesting, and strange. Have you tried a 3.5mm TRS to dual 1/4 inch TR, and just use one of the TR plugged into the mixer? You could be dealing with some phase cancellation. That's what I use for my Volcas, and they are really loud!
