Thanks for finally doing the Blood Ravens OMS. My favorite chapter, and the way you guys lay out your videos gave me a much more clear mental picture about their possible origins from the Thousand Suns!
You forgot the most important fact! They have seem to love to "Acquire" and "Collect" battle gear (Just like how they "Acquired" my collector edition thousan-I MEAN Blood Angel pokeball). The most known items they have collected are some Custodian Armor (Then again the TTS custodians could have simply given them the armor), Forge Breaker, and most recently...And Imperial Knight!

Pyroskies my biggest question is HOW IN HELL did they get custodes armour? Am I right in thinking that custodes almost never leave terra? And no blood Raven had actually been on terra as far as i am aware

This. This is why I get so angry at the majority of Space Marine video games. There are so many things that individual Chapters have. High number of Psykers for the Blood Raven. The Minotaurs with their superior, ancient tech. The Dragon Claws from the Black Dragons... The entire Sons of Antaeus chapter are basically Plague Marines.
But what do we always get? Bare bones Space Marines. With a one Librarian.
Especially the Blood Ravens, a _chapter Made by Relic_, that was given a massive amount of Pskyer might.... developed the game as Blood Ravens being bare bone marines.
But even though there are Chaos Marines who don't have any particular favor of any Daemon prince... No, every game must have Chaos Undivided and they can pick and choose from their favorite powers all the time.
Make a game with five chapters/Legions/warbands. Have them be unique instead of re-skins. USE the lore of Warhammer 40k that we actually love instead of just showing us pretty colors.
Technically, the Blood Ravens were around before the games, but they hadn't been fleshed out. They were fleshed out for the game, and went from there.
Actually the sons of antaeus aren't remotely close to plague marines. Rather it's implied that they're chapter may have been founded by death guard loyalist.

the god king gave Russ orders to bring him back to terra for questioning for trying to communcate whit him threw the warp but he told Horus to give russ the orders which at the time horus was under the influance of chaos and insted order Russ to kill them all. if Magus could of gotten back to the king in time to deliver the message in person his legion and him would of still been a loyalist legion.

Thousand sons theory is really cool. Always love a random loyalist in the ranks of traitors, like that lone lonar wolf marine. But having the Ravens be descendant from one of the two unknown legions is just as fine too to be honest.
A buddy of mine who is all into the GW stuff told me a recent White Dwarf Article confirmed that the Blood Ravens come from the The Thousand Sons.
How to know a blood raven has enterd your fort 1 you have no armour on and no more gun in your hand 2 your relics are all gone and relicly empty 3 you are now a blood raven how? Think about it how do they have 13 companys they "claimed" other battle brothers.

The blood ravens are descendants of the thousand sons. Thousand sons were all about knowledge and had the most psykers like the blood ravens. Also can you do a vid on the thousand sons before the heresy?
So, I get the Space Wolves losing track of their 13th Company when they dived into the Warp galloping after Russ. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe the better part of the Thousand Son's fleet and an entire house remained in the materium, and Magnus just can't seem to even remember they were there. It's also suspect that no one in the entire SW Legion or the accompanying Custodes noticed how light the fleet resistance was.

If I have a good memory, when the brother-captain Davian Thule founded the Kronus's Blood Raven relic he Just destroyed it because he readed a thing that suggest (one more time) that the Blood Ravens descend from a traitor legion.

You're right about the pronunciation of Angelos and you are partially right about the comparison. Since LA has been a part of the US for nearly 2 centuries now its name has an English pronunciation, however, it is a Spanish name originally and thus pronounced "Anheles". Probably where the confusion lies since Angelos can be compared to spanish. Why and how he managed to throw the spanish wrench into a character from a Canadian game and licensed by a British tabletop company we'll never know.

The reason the Harlequins had that information was because the Blood Ravens are made from 1 of the lost primarchs that was removed from history for allying with the Eldar. Their high probability of being psychers allowed them to enter a beneficial relationship. The Primarch was removed from history but the space marines live on without knowing the truth lf what happened.

I do believe that the highers ranks of the blood ravens do know their history but they may want to hide some kind of shame or embarrassment in their chapter that their brothers has done in the past. After all, Knowledge is Power and they Guard it Very Well.

Hell I thought I was the only one struck by that madness about Blood Ravens descending from the Thousand sons. Note I have not read all there is on Warhammer (halfway through the Horus Heresy books), but sheer visual likeness and similarity of character. Seriously see some fan art on the pre-heresy Thousand sons and then look at the DoW1 launcher Icon...(pretty much all Blood Ravens in DoW bear those features with the exception of Cyrus)

Their home world of Cyrene might be a hint to their lineage. As in Cyrene Valantion. An important figure to the word bearers. Their philosophy seems very close to the word bearers. It would explain the secrecy.

Can you do a video about the red corsairs? Also how do newly founded loyalist chapters arm and organize themselves (who is the chapter master in a newly founded chapter?), who trains them and who determines what war gear they get.
You could talk about white scars and their primarch Chagatai Khan for his actions for defending Magnus the Red. I hope in Dawn of War 4 or 5 we could see him helping and revealing connections between Thousand Sons and Blood Ravens and how he tried to help Magnus the Red to get away from Chaos but failed. A talk about Blood Raven's origin between Gabriel Angelos and Primarch Chagatai saying that

There are 2 videos I'd like to see one is on 2nd founding blood angels successor chapters and the other is on non 2nd founding successor blood angels chapters.
PS I always took them as a successor chapter to the free trader form of the 1000 sons. I think the and founding is the emperor trying to protect them from those who would target them for that ancestry and was in fact a refounding.

Brandon Korner Leaving many details open to interpretation is a reason why i like 40k. But with the blood ravens their past lore along with 1k sons lore basically screamed that they are connected and where a loyalist element. But a black library author came out more recently and said they are not from the 1k sons. But i still see them as loyalist 1ksons
