Just got my role as a Bell Service Dispatcher at Grand Floridian! Not what I was expecting or something I even knew existed, but I think it will be fun!
I had the best time as a dispatcher! Just go in with an open mind and you’ll do great. Say hi to all the bellmen for me!
@@CarolyninFantasyland what was the costume like for men? Is it the big tan pants and button shirt with a flat golf hat?
So the men’s costume is a tan/cream striped shirt, the long khaki pants, black belt + dress shoes, and a long khaki tie. Dispatchers don’t get to wear the white newsboy cap - that’s just for bellmen
I just applied to this for a part time position! It definitely sounds like something I'd like to do I hope I get in!
New to your channel!
Disney Castmembers - all of them! - really are the Magic of Disney! ✨ ✨
Thank you for your informationfor the younger gen & best of luck in your Disney career!
You're very knowledgeable & have an amazing personality! Disney is my favorite place! & is lucky to have you!
Maybe we'll see you there- one day!
Awww thank you so much!
Very interesting, especially the bridal luggage transfer 😂
Disney brides do not mess around lol
I love my role as a dispatcher!!
Being a dispatcher is seriously so fun and such an underrated role
Thought about transferring to BSD but I’m currently on the “bench” for Concierge!!
That's so exciting! Congrats! Disney hotels are so fun to work at
This is such a cool role, I'm glad I put down interest for it! For the resort transfers do you load/unload the bags yourself? Aka should I start lifting weights more often in prep? Thanks for all the information!
yep you are lifting those bags in and out of the van and storing them all by yourself so lifting weights in prep is definitely a smart idea since some of those bags easily weigh 50+ pounds
@@CarolyninFantasyland this is a month late but i just got bell services dispatch as my role today so i am SO glad you made this video!!
I just got my job in bell service dispatch. you mentioned that unless you work for Marriott you are not going to be placed at shades of green and the dolphin unless you are a Marriott employee.. what happens if you are can you go work there through disney or would it be a Marriott thing?
So if you work at the Swan and Dolphin you are a Marriott employee NOT a Disney employee. Those are two locations that you would have to apply for through Marriott - Disney has 0 influence over who is hired there. I'm not 100% who owns and operates Shades of Green but it definitely isn't Disney and the same rules apply - Disney has 0 influence over who is hired there either. Hope this helps!
My daughter just got this role! Thank you for posting the video. She is very excited but nervous because she has a drivers license but she hasn’t driven in 3 years since college started. Is everyone required to do transfers? If she is too anxious to drive I wonder if they will find a new role for her?
Unfortunately everyone has to do transfers and the only way to get a new role would be a medical exemption - think “I just had back surgery and can’t lift more than 15 pounds”
Hey, do you know the name of the third party company that employs bell at the value resorts? 😊
BAGS does the valet at all the Disney resorts and bell services at the values!
@@CarolyninFantasyland Ah I see! So a bellperson employed at a value resort is actually employed by BAGS and not Disney?
That is correct!
