Because it's called alternative for half the price jbl is good but you spend a premium price which is fine but company's like soybdcore and tribit been releasing speakers just as good if not better for half the price plus jbl don't have a classy looking we speaker in there line like this they all look the same
Most jbl speakers in the same price range have only mono sound while this one has 5 drivers. I have it in person this speaker is one of the best audio purchases I’ve made so far

The Extreme 3 is a better deal
One of the best, but I would say the Diamondboxx XL3 is the best speaker. JBL is definitely not the best. Also, there’s no such thing as “low frequency mode.” It’s just a debug mode that disables digital signal processing. Without DSP, it makes the speakers sound like shit. DSP limits useless frequencies that three inch speakers can’t even produce well and DSP limits or eliminates unwanted intermodulations as well. It makes the speakers go lower than they should go. Three inch speakers normally don’t go below 50HZ, so that’s why JBL and manufacturers use DSP to make the speakers sound right. It will distort without DSP. I hate distortion.

JBL is overrated. All the “low frequency mode” videos are driving me crazy. It’s just a debug mode for JBL to test to see if there’s issues. Its just a mode that turns off its digital signal processing. It’s not “low frequency mode” at all. I like iPhones, though. Android is good as well.

Soundcore Motion X600 is supposed to be Spatial audio, but Bluetooth can't support Spatial audio.

Yes. They don't sound all that good for that money. But if DxO mark ranking is taken into account then apparently this is a quite competitive with other wireless speakers.
Well I don't really care about rankings. This speaker still sounds muddy to me.
They're almost never $200. That's just MSRP. Street price is usually $150

JBL is at the last place between these 3. Hyperboom is a lot better, Diamondboxx, even better.

@@TheLifeGuards Actually no, both diamond boxx and hyperboom are crap with boomy colored sound... Boombox 3 is decent at best (better than db and hb) although 2 Minirig 3s with 2 subs outperform all of them at any volume even tho they are the size of the Jbl Xtreme 3 and for sound quality nothing can match Vifa so far. This x600 with correct eq should sound better than bb3 but still not even close to the Vifa Oslo

@@theloudspeakernerd-tlsn9322 it has problems with distortion it's worse than the Xtreme 3 motion boom/boom plus and motion+ and at $200 you can get a tribit stormbox blast which is basically a boombox 2 for $200 since most of the reviews paid they say it's the best speaker you can get, its on the same level as a $2,000 high end hifi system as one those reviewers said.
Xtreme 3 is louder, but this speaker sounds cleaner. Your pick.
