Hi there. I bought the Aurora Green Soundcore Motion X600 yesterday afternoon on the strength of your review and it arrived early this morning (thanks Amazon). It’s absolutely amazing! Significantly louder than my Apple HomePod and even has better sound. I’m not sure how that’s even possible given that the HomePod needs a power cord. The Spatial Audio (which I am nuts about anyway) is awesome - it’s like going from mono to stereo in the olden days. The aesthetic and build quality of both the speaker and packaging are Apple-level. I highly recommend the X600. Keep up the great reviews and thanks again!
I’ve had my X600 for about a week and it sounds great. I love that the app allows you to customize EQ settings and save them. I’ve also learned that if you hit the full band EQ button and turn your phone to widescreen, you can get more precise with the EQ. I’m still waiting for the speakers to break in, but it sounds fantastic anyway.
The audio demo doesn’t do it justice, the spatial audio is really sweet.
@timmerred5 LMAO you dont need to break in speakers anymore, its not 1985 😂😂😂😂😂
I like your reviews. High production quality and very informative.
Thank you, David! Glad you enjoyed 😀
Excellent review !!! Sounds like manufacturers are rebranding the older "WIDE" function with "SPATIAL" . The Stereo "WIDE" function of 80s-90s boom boxes & receivers had in principal increased the perceived width of the music by adjusting certain frequency bands typically the mid-range to give this effect nice to see it coming back!
Love the design on this one!
Thanks for this review! Good Job
Had it a week now, paid 159 euros, fantastic value for money.
Great sound with spatial and bass boost and this through a huge range of genres.
Great review, many thanks 👍
Excellent review, thank you! I just purchased one, yes!
Solid review. Have ordered and await with great anticipation. The coupon code deal was worth the wait and combined awards points benefits via credit card allowed me to purchase this for close to the hundred dollar mark, and that my friend makes it one hell of a deal.
I did the same! I got mine for $106
Congrats on your 90.000 subs!
Thank you Stephan, the road to 100k starts 🚀
It’s a lovely lovely speaker especially for it’s price point and design…
This is the real comparison❤ quality content bro
Another great review. Ignoring cost, how does the sound compare to the sonos move? I have arc/sub/ones, so there would be a benefit to integrate a move, but not f the sound isn't significantly better than the x600.
If this thing moves volume in sales, I wouldn't be surprised if Sonos also ventures into the battery powered "spatial audio" market as well. Though, I don't know if they'll go higher or lower in price point than the Move. though I do think they'll tout it as a 'move around the home' speaker more than a 'take on a hike' speaker.
Great video thank you.
I have liked and subscribed, and I am really enjoying your rigorous testing lab. So, can we have a battle between the JBL Partybox Encore and this amazing Soundcore Motion X600 please?
Thanks, Leigh! Glad to hear you are enjoying the content 😀 We've got a "heavy duty" portable speaker comparison on the way soon so make sure you stay tuned for comparisons with the soundcore Motion X600.
Compare vs. Beosound A5 when A5 comes out! Also can you stereo pair two for TV without lipsync problem?
I'm a JBL guy, but Soundcore has been doing a great job
Great review. I got rid of my Marshall kilburn 2, this one will get delivered tonight. Hope I've made the right choice.
What do you think🤔
@@therealtech833 my opinion was different. I returned it the following day. Big regret selling the marshall Kilburn 2. Because money was tight, I decided to trick my brain and buy a much smaller marshall willen which is the one I still use daily in the shower. Now I have the wow factor and my brain is happy as I have a very good sound for what it is. 😁
👍 impressive review
This will sit and play nicely together with my 4 x Monitor Audio S150's. The supported Codex made me choose this over the Bose Revolve 2+. Sorry Bose. Like you say, this can be moved from room to room easily. A great review by the way, Thankyou.
Honestly, the spatial audio test didn't come across as impressive or that noticeable in your video but I'm sure an in-person demo would be a different experience. Sounds like if they get better midrange clarity in a future version of the product, they'd really have a game-changer.
If you were to pick one between Soundcore x600 and Marshall Acton III, Which one would you for for?
I have one and I love it❤!!! Better than my $300 JBL. Deep bass and very clear highs. Spatial audio makes a lot of difference! Good video 👍 👍
Which JBL? Boombox 3?
doesnt have deep bass.
@Alan Ross Reviews how much deeper bass do you want? It's plenty deep already.
@@robertarnobit5357 lol, it has no deep bass.
@@alanrossreviewshow
The lighted controls seem obnoxiously bright. Can those be adjusted?
I see you have the other soundcore speakers on the shelf in the background
Great review, is that Philips Hue lighting in the lounge? 😊
Thank you! Yes, we use a combination of Philips Hue lights, Govee light stands and a NanLite light tube to create our different coloured lighting setups 😀
@@smarthomesounds No worries, that’s awesome!! 😊💡
I just ordered the souncore boombox plus
Is A proper Dolby Atmos stream even possible via Bluetooth?
Hi there! Thanks for the great review. For the same price or around the same price would a soundbar offer better quality and more immersive audio or would the X600 be better? I am at a loss so any feedback/ comments would be greatly appreciated.
I have never seen a soundbar under $500 US that was worth having. It would appear this X600 would be far better based upon the sounds in this review,
From the over 30 speakers I tested the x600 was the only one I actually didn't like at all. Narrow sound and not a very pleasant listening experience even with the spatial sound turned on.
I have an unusual question: i need a backup Bluetooth speaker to play in a courtroom to play audio evidence in case the court audio system is not working/connecting properly. So imagine a large room with high ceilings and I'm 20 feet from the judge and need to play audio of, well, violence. I need the lows, bass to come through to accurately represent doors slamming hard, holes being punched in walls versus it sounding like dropping a cookie sheet on the floor.
Can this do that, given those outlined needs? Only question i care about for my niche use case. Thank you
It does go very loud, and has the clarity to hear every detail. If the large courtroom was quiet, and didn't have much backround noise, it will easily be heard around the Courtroom, if placed correctly. Can also pair 2 of these together for one at each end of the courtroom was very large. They are 50W each.
This speaker makes me wish that Apple makes a portable HomePod
No u don’t it would be like £1000 and match audio quality of alternatives
More or less that's what this is, just not made by apple. Cause you can use the assistants with it
@@The1995camaro it’s not Dolby Atmos capable though, it’s trying to simulate surround with a stereo file. A portable HomePod would be better than this in many ways.
I will have my Motion X600 by this Friday, I'm beyond excited. Every review is GUSHING over this thing. With almost all saying how it's a Bluetooth speaker for audiophiles, would you say you agree with that?
Hi there, it’s a great speaker for the money and you will struggle to get the same performance at its price. The HomePod or Sonos Era 300 are better speaker but cost 3-4 times as much so I think context is key. Hope you enjoy your speaker :-)
*Every paid review.
@@SkrenjaWhat a ponce. Haha
can you use it while charging? thanks
showcasing 5 drivers and spatial processing against the mono and cheaper charge 5? do you thinks a good comparison?
The crazy thing is the price is about the same. I thought it was ridiculous as well but same price point so i guess it makes sense! Lol
My last 2. BT speakers is anker new one will be X600 ❤
Anyone feels that the bass is lacking when you increase lolume even a bit? But apart from that...when i got it - could not stop listening to it - sound quality is something else, it is so clean, pronounced and overall amazingly open
Whatever happened to Jonathan?!
Sounds really nice, but I think I will stick with my Bose Soundlink Flex for travel. Nice and easy to bung in the hand luggage.
I'm 99% angry it didn't use an Android phone which support LDAC. Not sure what SBC will sound like.
Why should anyone turn the spatial audio off?
Get rid of the handle and I'll like. Does this have a passive(s) on the backside?
The handle is a deal breaker to me. I can’t stand any sound device that looks like a woman’s handbag.
@@VuNguyen-mh4oo hahahahahaha
HOW loud is it ?
Spatial audio is good for electronic music but what about true stereo tracks with instrument separation, I have a HomePod and sound is ok but not wireless , this is tempting
Every genre I have played on it has sounded solid, crisp and generally amazing!
@@hawkinsdaniel7144 you play Jimi Hendrix and 1970s jazz-rock fusion?
Does the battery drain faster when you switch to spatial audio?
I would imagine so, but the battery life projected is most likely including with the Spatial Audio turned on 😁
Sounds good and better than JBL
Soundcore x600 or marshall middleton?which one should i buy
Wondering which btw the two too.
Def soundcore if you haven't decided
I missed off the $50 discount even tho I paid that $1 but there was coupons to be used I think with using Microsoft edge I got 20% off but I got $40 off which was still nice. I just waiting to get it delivered.
which coupon
@@gunjankabra4 I use Microsoft Edge and that coupon thing they pop up I ended up saving 20%
How would the experience be in a car?
Just go for it
Didn't know Patrick Bamford did speaker reviews 🤣
Can it be used while it's plugged in?
Yes this is fine and doesn’t damage the battery.
Can I take that speaker on the plane with me in my carryon nobody can answer me
oh oh geronimo
Tears keep on failing the night time is ours 😉
I may be missing out on a good speaker, but I can't do that handle. Too bad it's not removable.
I bought one and loved the sound thanks to this review. HOWEVER, I was so disappointed when I realized it didn't have multipoint connection. More importantly, it only connects to LDAC on Android, so a Windows A2DP doesn't work either (let alone iOS), and I'll have to listen to garbage SBC for eternity. Hifi was a big reason why I decided to buy this. I should've waited a bit longer before deciding to buy.
Motion plus win ever time
The distance test was done In reverse lol… take the phone away with the speaker showing its connect quality still at the camera
Jawbone jambox is the first...
Sounds nice, but the bass is too low... I would have liked a more powerful bass I am disappointed.
Me, too.
if pairs 2 of these speakers can I get an atmos set😂
the stereo expansion is quite annoying and doesn't sound good. depending on how a song is mixed the stereo expansion drowns everything else out. turning off the "spatial audio" makes it sound even worse. the bass is also unimpressive.
You have to wear a stereo headphone to hear the sound difference
Only £120 at the moment on Amazon!
Originally bought a Sonos Era, waste of money, all marketing hype and no substance. Returned the Era and bought 2 of these for less. Having spacial audio in stereo sounds fantastic, even outside in the garden.
Lo único malo su haza de transporte diferente a sony xg300 o jbl extreme o lg
Bro the bass is laking hard. Is like you listen from your phone.
I want a good quality Bluetooth speaker, that does not snoop on me. ie. No WiFi, No Alexa or other snooping tech
its Mick Jagger (but better looking; more handsome)
It is very disappointing I can't buy this in india
L
Free speakers giving? Just don't buy from that company...
Overinflated price make up the margins
it has 5 amps, not 3
X600 is good for 50€ 😊
JBL is not even close to this speaker
Tried one. Anyone who values this channel, I suggest you don't. It's spatial is a one trick pony and the base is muddier than the Battle of Passchendaele. My gen' 1 Bose Revolve remains. Latter place against wall fills my 3.5m x 6m lounge/diner, the X600 sounded like a hummingbird farting in a fruit bowl. X600 was returned.
Lol
It is indeed amusing how people are falling for a set of cheap tricks. Widening soundstage by cutting the mids is old as the world. 50w split between 5 drivers is two times weaker than 40 w into 2 drivers. I guess a tad less if 1/5 is a passive radiator, not powered driver. The freq response is so wonky, but sure, who's to say that true audio is higher quality than catchy audio? ;)
I particularly love how bad the speaker sounds with the special functions off to make people buy into how awesome those functions are!
What else do you reckon they might have done for the spatial mojo? Play with phase difference, hence the need for so many little drivers?
I'd be curiuous to see Charge 5 or Xtreme 3 compared with X600 when all 3 are equalized to actually paint in similar strokes.
U serious?
I suggest you put the PRICE in reference for your "review" 🤷🏻♂️
@@rob72 I did. It's why I mentioned "Gen 1". Thank you for your interest.
I was not impressed with it. Overkill. Not pleasing to the ears. Sound quality is lacking and messy.

990 kbps is nowhere near Hi Res.
It’s close enough to CD and that is good enough
@@asotomayor But CD isn’t classed as Hi Res. So it is misleading.
Sounds Thin, Anemic, Tinny, Unrefined Nd Basically Pants.
Is this the best surround audio speaker....no!? ....... So what is?.... Terrible review.
We didn’t say surround sound speaker we said spatial audio speaker, and we said the HomePod 2 & Sonos Era 300 are better but more expensive. Please if you are going to leave a comment watch the video and listen to the audio as your comment is completely irrelevant. But thanks for watching.
Derr do you know what you are doing here?
Its just a 🧸🪀 TOY, way to expensive.
Well I paid £150 so not as expensive as other speakers
Got mine a couple of days ago, and it's the last bluetooth speaker I'll ever buy. Brilliant clarity of sound.
