Over 70 years of age I keep documentation of money that I loan to people. Always get documentation so when you have to go to court you can prove what you paid for

After 4 years of no provable contact with the defendant requesting the repayment, the statute of limitations is probably up for suing, depending on the state. The defendant changed that when he made a payment and acknowledged the debt. Now the time starts all over again. He should've kept his money and ignored her until the hearing, she would've lost.
