I mean if you’re making a video about such a legend as Mirko Cro Cop, you should at least tell the full story. It looks like he retired after the Gonzaga loss, but the truth is that he won K1 Tournament, avenged his loss to Gonzaga and even won another mma tournament (Rizin). True fighter who gave so much to this beautiful sport!

What the hell is this after that fight with gonzaga he fought three times in one night to win k1 grand prix and rizin open weight grand prix he retired on a ten fight win streak and only lost like two time in 5 years.. If you want to talk about a legend don't skip his achievements and blood and sweat he indured... You made it sound like he lost to gonzaga and just retired he fought gonzaga years later killed the man with his elbows...

True, though the competition he beat wasn't elite (though there were some solid fighters in there). Still impressive for a fighter his age with as much wear-and-tear as he had at that point.
Crocop's downfall in the UFC was the cage. So much of his style was based on cutting angles in the ring and unloading on dudes in the corner. He couldn't do that in the cage, which also hampered his exellent TD defense.

@@Kagemusha08 I also read that the cage was not favouring him, he was a little lighter then the heavyweights in general and the cage wall was not helping him at all.
Cro Cop vs Wandy is the best staredown in MMA history. First time ever someone looked more intimidating than Silva and Mauro's line "Silva looks like he wants to kill someone and Cro Cop looks like he already did" was the cherry on top. The fight itself was ok, we had to wait until their second one to get the epic KO but that staredown is one of my favorite MMA moments ever.

Unjustified video. Cro Cop redeemed himself against Gonzaga (dude who headkick ko'd him in the UFC). Not only did he redeem himself by outclassing Gonzaga and dominating him in the rematch, but also Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic also dominated other promotions and events. You should've included that in the video.
Gonzaga took his soul, after that Crocop fought only cans and it doesn't count. End of story.

He didn't come out of Prime But he didn't adapt to the cage and then the injuries..
I know from the interview that he struggled with a hard shoulder injury.

When it comes to MMA legends Mirko cro cop is definitely in my top three favorites of all time.
Cro COP had eight matches in the UFC. He beat both Gonzaga and Roy Belson in the rematch but in the Belator promotion.. After 2 difficult knee surgeries, he returned to Japan, made a 10-game winning streak and won rizin, won the k1 grand prix with Pride.. BRANKO THE TIGER CIKATIĆ is the first Croatian, MIRKO CRO COP, and Antonio Plazibat is the third Croatian to win the k-1 grand prix. Of course, Stipe Miocic is the son of an Immigrant from Croatia, Pat Miletic welter champion in the UFC as well.. Also many box champions coming from Croatia. 🇭🇷🇭🇷💪💪

my fav fighter of all time together with fedor.Mirko was unlucky cause he started his MMA career somehow old and couldnt develop as good as he did in k1. Imo he should have stayed in k1 ,but thats another story.

Skip: low kick Ho man choey or whatever, middle kick Bob Saap, also liver/midle kick Magomedov(sparing partner of Frdor), high kick A.Emilianenko, Gonzaga revenge, Big country revenge, Amir Alakbari final fight in Japan, Baruto, King Mo Lawal, and so on and on...stand up fights against M.Hunt, 2x Josh Barnett, and in K1 beating legends like Remy Bonasky. U fid skip alot... If Mirko went to UFC in his prime in Tim Sylvia era he would be for sure hw chhamp.

Absolutely! Such a small population with top talent in many sports including waterpolo, handball, rowing skiing just to add to your long list. It is said that the city of Split has more gold medals per capita than any city in the world. Incredible talent, discipline, hard work, and mental toughness is drilled into Croatians at birth. It is punished severely with heavy shame if it isn’t adhered too, well that’s been my experience. Oh and BRUTAL honesty is given to you in all aspects of life as a main part of the culture. It sounds hard but it works, most of the time 🇭🇷

A lot of missing details to this story! You left so much meat on the bone! The Nog/Crocop fight was nearly finished in the 1st rd when CC landed his LHK but Nog was saved by the bell. Then Nog made a miraculous comeback. Crocop’s two most popular fights were vs Wanderlei and Fedor! He KO’d Fedor’s teammate and brother on his way to that shot and fought one of the most legendary fights against Fedor! And his KO vs Wanderlei is legendary!
nog was never nearly koed in the end of the round, after high kick he fell intentionally, to lurk crocop going into guard.
