Adam Salchenberg aye I’m 2 years late did u get it done and also what pain in the ass you have to go through on the K Series that u don’t usually have to worry about on Regular B series ?
hey bro I am swapping a b20b high comp in my 99 teg. Only thing that has my sorta stumped is the crank pulley situation do i use the b20 crank or the ls crank i hear if you keep the b20 crank its a mission to find belts. What belts did you use for your alt and do you have power steering? I dont mid taking the cranks off either just not sure if it will mess up the timing?
We ran the stock b20 pulley I believe, with no power steering. Don’t remember the length of belt but it’s not hard to find at all. The pulley size is super similar
We didn’t change anything, car still runs to this day on the LS ecu. Although I do recommend getting your ecu socketed and chipped and set up on a b20 basemap to get it to run optimally
h22sparkle gotta make do with what you have. A bigger jack would have done nothing for us, and no sense in an engine stand. Especially for a one time use why waste $300. The pallet made for a perfect spot to bolt the tranny up.
Hi chris, good videos. Continue please. One question, in some videos i saw some crx (ed9), have you ever doing swaps in this car. Which is the best and easily swap you think for this car? Sorry for my english. Im learning but step by step. Have fun with your video blog, ill continue see you :)
canarion22121984 I don’t have a crx and have never worked on one. But they are the sane as the EF chassis and close to my DA chassis so you can swap b series in the car perfectly fine. Can even do an H series or a k series. But you gonna have to do some fab work
Did you end up having to get a new Ecu and injectors? My 98 Teg gs automatic has a b20b swap but it's running lean idles around 1100-1200 rpm and is throwing d4 code 13 & 14 and cel is throwing a code 67
daniel brewer no we kept the same ecu and injectors because they are the same flow rate I think as the b18. Although you should get a b20 basemap to get the 100% correct air/fuel mixture but the LS ecu is just fine
Can a B18A1 LS trans work on the B20 since it’s a B series ? Oh and I had no idea you had a DC2 Integra chassis I thought u where a da guy but hey the more u know
alexis Gutierrez my car came with a b20 already when I got it. Very under maintenanced and unhealthy but I brought it back to life. We bought his b20 and had it shipped there. And my Integra will most likely be getting an F series or H series next once my b20 dies
Please get some better tools for your swap bro. Harbor freight is the best for when it comes down to tools for the price to get you buy. Last thing you need is getting injured or longer duration times because it'll hold you back if you dont.
h22sparkle what do you mean? We had the tools to do the job, yes not the best but you make do with what you have. We had jack stands, a hoist and tools. Not the best tools but it worked and the car is still alive and healthy
Hey bro you did great👍 I'm hoping to swap my k20z1 into my teggy soon

I'm doing this swap currently and when it fired the only sensor I had on my obd code was the o2 sensors from before
how do u by passed the crank sensor to make this b20b engine work
Hey bro do u know how to ls1 swap a 1997 BMW e36 m3

What did you need to get b20 running good. Did you have to change the ecu?
We didn’t change anything, car still runs to this day on the LS ecu. Although I do recommend getting your ecu socketed and chipped and set up on a b20 basemap to get it to run optimally
Having the tools to do the job is one thing but doing it safely is another. You need a bigger jack and an engine stand

ChrisSadowski , thanks so much for your answer. Continues loke this.
What kind of transmission for the b20?
It was an LS trans

Do all models except the gsr have the same ecu
ChrisSadowski I would think so
daniel brewer I think so. But I can't be certain. The ecu your using is for an automatic correct? You said you have an automatic ecu
Correct. And I was told I would possibly have to do a manual transmission swap and get the Ls manual ECu and teak the air to fuel ratio
I do have 1995
Integra Dohc 1.8 Manualshift
Can I intal the B20 on my car
Same one help me please. Thank you
