Vincero!
I thought that I had friends
I thought I even liked them
But now Iâm thinking maybe not so much
I hit the space bar
I cannot play guitar
They give me bottles but itâs never enough
Five minutes, ten minutes, to a half an hour
For the rest of my life
Leave me alone

Leave me alone

Your majestyâs magnificent
My tragedy is imminent
Even though Iâm smiling
Iâm crying
I shall win!
Vincero!
From up behind the booth
She walks in with her crew
Did I see Maggie holding Gloria
They look so happy there
But I donât even care
I pop a pill to feel euphoria
Five minutes, ten minutes, to a half an hour
But not the rest of my life
Leave me alone

Your majestyâs magnificent
My tragedy is imminent
Even though Iâm smiling

Leave me alone

#PanicAtTheDisco #VivaLasVengeance #SadClown - Hudba
Confession: I'm 70 and had never heard of Panic! or Brendan, until I saw a cover of "Emperor's New Clothes" by The Bass Gang and went to check out the original. And promptly became addicted. And then saw VoicePlay's "Panic! At The Disco in Four Minutes (Parts 1 and 2) and became even MORE addicted. So over the last few months I've been binging on a number of Panic! videos. So ... I was rather excited to see a new album, and I've now watched a number of "official videos" (not all, not yet) and hands down, this one startled me the most. And I had to google translate a few lines after the fact. Now that I have some idea what's going on I'll watch it again and hope I can follow it - it's INCREDIBLY fast-moving.
I don't understand the people who say Brendan has "lost it," or other negative comments. Of course not everyone likes every song - and that's ok. But the man has some very talented chops and I love his stuff.
And what's with the guy in the far left during the opening scene? I can't see him too clearly but he appears to be wearing shorts along with very modern socks and shoes..., along with a fancy shirt and hat. Not to mention at least two women wearing panniers but not, apparently the skirts that are supposed to go over them. Someone was having fun in the costume department. :D
Weird.
ETA: I'm not even going to address the guy wearing the halter top... Let's just say ... no, never mind.
Welcome to Panic! His music is so good!!
Right? Brendon has not "lost" shit. "VLV" Rules. Everyone involved nailed it. Welcome to the party. BTW....52
I love your comment so much. And yes, he's so talented! Welcome to the panic family!
Louder, please!!! đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»
With the news of the band's end this album really takes on a new life about the struggles that Brendon has been going through. It really foreshadows the end of Panic. It's revolting the amount of hate he has received on tiktok and twitter in recent years and I think he's trying to protect his family by moving away from it all. Hopefully he will return to music in later years and by then the tiktok teenies will have developed a brain and leave him alone. Also, sad clown is 100% about the bullying he received and how he's expected to just make music and keep smiling despite dying on this inside. It all makes so much sense now...
It all makes sense now. He probably figured this would be the final album as Panic, and Iâm glad he can get away from all the toxicity to raise his child. I can totally see him coming back after 4 or 5 years of parenting.
He deserves it
đŻ as an ex to a musician... it's hard to hear this song because I've watched this song play out in real life. And I cry everytime I hear it.
@@sstvms2023 congratulations to him and his new child and Sarah.
The moment he continued to support someone who was very publicly canceled for unforgivable things to his own fans, he made that choice to jeopardize the public perception of his life and his family. He made that choice. He's said many unbecoming things publicly and is lucky he kept the favor of the public for as long as he has. He never made an effort. That's on him.
I believe this album is his music career. I think âMaggieâ is a culmination of his fans while each song marks certain events that capture the most significant moments in his musical journey. Itâs a true rock opera.
A rocpera, if you shall. đ
đŻ Maggie represents the fans. Love this album so much. Shame so few people understood the meaning behind it
When middle of a breakup came up I wasn't sure if I was gonna like the full album, but when It came up entirely I was literally impresed, yeah, this album is different from the previous ones, but if we look back they're all different from each other, every time P!ATD release a new album it becames my favorite and this is no exception

That one line at the beginning hits so hard, though. "I thought that I had friends. I thought I even liked them, but now I'm thinking maybe not so much." Story of my 2021, honestly.
"Even though I'm smiling, I'm crying" is me trying to get through everyday since the announcement
This song is soo...I don't know how to describe it...Beautifully heartbreaking, Brendon is a geniuses mixing modern rock with some old music and the VM OMG, the symbols, everything you can see the pain and the fake smiles, VLV is a scream of help and highlight how everything in a music industry company can also be a nightmare sometimes
the "leave me alone" lowkey sounds like "into the unknown" and i love it
same
Thatâs because itâs actually sampled from âInto the Unknownâ!
You mean highkey
I'm fairly sure it's a higher tone too
Youâre right, never thought of that until you just said something
The "leave me alone" part is literally just like the progression he did in "Into the Unknown" honestly. I swear I'm hearing so many similarities to other works in these songs...
Yes, that's the point, he interpolated ITU for this song! good ear. đ
I feel like this album is an homage to other music/artists more than an original album. I don't think it's bad but I'm having to accept that it sounds similar to like the songs.
I thought the same thing.
Yes
there are a few interpolations ("at seventeen" = "don't let the light go out," that one argent song = "god killed rock and roll," "into the unknown" = this, "all by yourself" = "all by myself") but the songs don't sound like rip-offs at all (like, this song sounds nothing like "into the unknown" aside from a single melody line), and idk they make me feel like the album is connected to a cool lineage of emotional bombast
This video is screaming every era of Panic! along with new vibes like Queen. I was so hopeful to get a small taste of original sounds on this album, and I have to say, you did it Brendon! Absolutely awesome video, song, choreography and albumđ
It's like a theatrical, 50s & 70/80s rock inspired by Queen vibe. It's amazing!

Well. Having only heard a handful of tracks by P!ATD I really didn't know what to expect. After hearing 'Don't let the light go out' on the radio, I decided to check out the album 'Viva Las Vengeance'. I'm an Iron Maiden fanatic with a heavy love of The Darkness, Muse and Volbeat and I've got to say Viva Las Vengeance has floored me. Compared to the earlier stuff, I've been compelled to listen to the entire back catalogue, the vocals are what seems to be a different vocalist, tapping an unused region of the vocal range and unravelling the next evolutionary step in Male Vocal. The harmony layering is blissful, the energy is chaotic yet controlled and the arrangements are simply astonishing. How can the band go from writing 'I write sins not tragedies' to writing this?? It's unfathomable. I'm absolutely breathless. There's obviously an incredible band in the early works but if you were to go back in time and play 'Viva' to early P!ATD would they even believe it was them? Sadly, I've got a feeling that this is going to go way over the heads of the average music listener and that's a real shame but it's totally their loss. I'm happy that I've found them and they're all mine. And maybe a few million like minded people can have them too. đ
So so so so so agree. The ambition and musicianship of this makes it one of the most exciting and daring major act releases in forever. I mean this single alone is BONKERS and yet a lot of aging emo fans claiming they love the artist but demanding the same nostalgic fare album after album to remind them of their youth is predictably sad. The sheer joy for making music and art you can feel radiating off this record is immense! I really hope he just keeps going for broke. The evolution of his talent on this record is immense!
@@thchruan I agree. You can almost hear him evolve on every song. Tapping into a rich vein of melody, creativity and diversity. The album is challenging, joyful, divisive and beautiful.
If you like Brendon's vocals, might I suggest Mariana's Trench? Their albums all sound different as well and if I'm not wrong, Josh Ramsey, from mt, has an even more impressive range than Brendon. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Brendon's voice. Josh is just so incredibly well trained.
As an italian, I'm so proud that there's italian lyrics in a panic! song. A PAGLIACCIO TRISTE

@@FallOutMauricio They say "vincerĂČ" which means "i will win" and a "pagliaccio triste" which means "sad clown"! :)
anyone who thinks brendon urie is a bad person just read that on tik tok or twitter. has he said some dumb shit in the past? absolutely, havenât we all tho. he apologized and learned from his mistakes. the problem with cancel culture is people want to exile you from humanity because of your past and youâre not allowed to try to become a better person. the bullying on tik tok and twitter is fucking sad, people who have nothing better to do then try to make themselves feel better by putting brendon down.
Yep, if not for those allegations and hatred, Brendon wouldâve made this album much more differently.
I hope this year treats Brendon and Sarah well as parents and a family. â€
I'm honestly worried for Brendon's vocals if this gets on the tour set list. This song and some others on Viva are incredibly demanding.
They might lower the songs a step or two while live.
He abused his voice all the time. He literally drinks sk much that theyâre bleached and refuses to get coaching. He doesnât care.
Lol, your kidding me right? A Fever You Can't Sweat had way tougher vocal demands. Almost every song had him doing intense falsetto in high octaves and then use his head vocals. I promise you this dude can comfortably sing his entire range for long periods of time at no cost to him or difficulty.
His only issue is he sings in his lower range by lowering his Larynx which causes his chest voice to get raspy at times and comes off like he is belting rather than singing. Which could naturally damage your vocals and locks off his natural vibrato.
@@Ibam323 then again, he still had fresh baby boy teen vocals. Im sure as with all people his voice deepened alot. Imo compared to now, he sounded like a very handsome squeeky toy. And my boy does like to abuse him poor vocals
The vibes are so strange and unexpected, but this song is truly a bop.
This is musical masterpiece
We need this live
Well said Lucy
Hell yeah
This song is actual garbage like the rest of the album lmaoo
it's weird how many people say that he has ruined his voice when even the highest notes around 2:50 sound free and have natural vibrato on them (a free, regular vibrato indicates that the voice is NOT straining otherwise there wouldn't be vibrato on them)
It's called autotune
@@gunz203 there's actually no autotune used on this album because it was all recorded on tape in a very retro way, so it's impossible to digitally edit it.

oh yes so real this song is called sad clown and is basically just âwaaa i have no friends and everyone hates meâ yet he still lacks self awareness
So after listening to the album, I'm starting to piece together the story. This is my take on it--he had a girl he loved in his life named Maggie, they dated but ultimately didn't work out, she moved on and ended up being with another man, it broke his heart, Maggie ended up in an abusive relationship, got out and wanted to enact vengeance on abusive partner, and one way or another she ended up dead, be it from an accident or whilst enacting vengeance, and he's having a very hard time coping with losing her and moving on. I'm just spit balling, so I could be very wrong!

I like this theory but what about the mask seen in the viva las vengeance and the donât let the light go out
This album is so slept on. Watch in like a few years when everyone ârediscoversâ it and acts like they loved it from the beginning. I think this album gets better with age. Itâs reminiscent of 79s & 80s and music around those times. I wasnât a massive fan of most of the album on release but after listening to each song a few times and getting the rhythm I love them. Their unique. And he did always say heâd shake it up. Fever and Death of a bachelor are still my tops but VLV hits in such a unique and fun way. Itâs not taking itself to seriously, itâs just a fun collective of songs. Say it louder, donât let the light go out, god killed rock and roll, sugar soaker and something about Maggie r awesome
My opinion is already differentâŠI love this so much (especially at 2:00) and now I canât stop singing along! Canât wait to see what you do with this on tour!

I'm loving this new sound from the new album. People don't like changes. They want the same old stuff, then when it becomes boring and the band dismantle, they wonder why. Kudos to Brendon for keeping his creativity in top shape and being so diverse with his music. I'm loving everything!!! Not to mention his vocals are still fire. I'm loving that he's exploring his lower range too on the new songs.

Absolutely ADORING this new album. Listened to it in entirety last night and it's what I wish every album was; A collection of snippets of feelings and moments that tell an overarching story. Panic! has done it with this album and then some - the clear progression of musical genres and eras throughout the album double down on the journey of one's life. It turns a realistic eye on the past that while nostalgic, isn't rose-tinted, and then delves into the present and the pitfalls and struggles of trying not to repeat mistakes. I love how the sound dredges up older Panic!'s sound and mixes it with the voices of each era the songs tumble through (Meatloaf, Queen, Bowie, etc.) all the while layering on top the theme of the artist struggling for the sake of and at the hands of their art.
100% not what I expected for this album (was totally thinking it would be a similar vibe and style as the last two) but very much happily surprised!

The manic feeling of this album is what I needed this year
I love how Brendon Urie has been bringing back retro/vintage since forever and not just now with Stranger Things and this whole nostalgic fever we're going through. I love this man so much! He's one of the most talented humans to ever walk the earth.
Those who can't see this are just not ready to understand his art.
I hope P!ATD goes back performing one day â„
Frozen 2 called, it wants its *'Into the Unknown'* back
I have no words. This was AMAZING Brendon!
This song really is an underrated banger. Don't know why people don't feel this way its so fun
Saw this tour and it was phenomenal!!!! Amazing voice and stage presence and the band was incredible!!!! What a talent!!!
This video looks like it was fun to film and choreograph! So excited!
The 800 year-old victorian era cabinet in my room is vibin' to this i can hear it flappin its drawers to the beat hell yea đ€
Listening to them always brings me back to my teenage years! Brendon sounds better than ever â€ïž
i know you lying
The real star of this video is that pink updo. It held on through all of the movement and whoever set that 'do deserves an award.
I love how Something About Maggie transitions beautifully into this incredible song. I remember listening to the album and noticed this change and absolutely loved it!
I love that one so much, it's like a fusion of everything that Panic! has ever made, and it's chaotic, but perfectly planned in every single moment of It.
Omg. I LOVE everything about this song and video. It gives me Queen vibes. And Brendon is amazing as usual
I could not be any happier than I am, hearing all this new Panic! music!
I mean I knew I was gonna like the album but this song. It's just something else. The lyrics, Brendon's vocals, the vibe is giving me goosebumps. You can tell by the line "Leave me alone" he fcking means it, leave my man alone

I love how Panic is trying to bring back glam rock. This could slide right in to the Queen album A Night at the Opera and it would fit in perfectly. Brendon has an incredible voice

Yes! For me, as a HUGE Queen fan, especially their early 70s sound, this album has become one of my favourites instantly... I've never found anything similar to them [Queen], until Viva Las Vengeance and I'm all for it!
I just binged all the new songs!! I already love this album stg. Iâve been counting the days until this dropped
2:44 Best. Brendon Vocal. Ever.
RIP PANIC AT THE DISCO

This album is masterpiece. I don't understand why it's so underrated†people don't know what is art
Trust me, nobody else thinks this is a masterpiece
@@iORAVLA this is your opinion...most of his fans probably think like me
@@maddie0807 most of the actual critics reviews rate this album somewhere near 4 out of 5 stars, so you are generally very wrong. while it has some mized reviews from public, most of the people were already hating on the album cause of brendon "cancellation"
@@xxShadowOfTheWolfxx this is my opinion, people's preferences are different but if you said that it's rated 4 from 5 I would say it's a good album...Of course I am not a music critic but as a listener I think is very good.
@@maddie0807 i'm sorry, i meant to tag the other person, not you. i do agree with you, most of the critics were great with the album, just general public was hating on it cause of hating on brendon unfortunetly
the queen vibes of this entire album are insane
I am absolute blown away by the work Brendon put into this. Itâs my favourite album by far
So far, I've been somewhere between confused and intrigued over all your latest songs. Even the ones I'm genuinely unsure how to feel about have become earworms, and I feel like all of them will grow on me quickly.
Me listening for the 1st time: "what."
2nd time: "ok, ok....Vincero"
3th time: "issss thisss alllLLLLL THEREEEEEEEEE ISSSSSSSSSSSS?!?!?"
But for real, at first I was definitely unsure. Respected the art of it all but I was thinking it wasn't very listenable, not a go to P!ATD song. Then I listened to the song, just audio vs watching the video with it. And then it clicked. I'm confident I am never going to get this song out of my head and I want to hear it again and again! I love the huge theatrics of it all. It was just a lot to swallow at first! Keep being creative, adventurous, and bold. That's why P!ATD is still relevant to this day! Started listening to you when your first single hit, and haven't missed a day since. Can't wait to see you in concert again! â€ïž
I'm the opposite, I find the song to be pretty bad by itself, but just the god awful dancing with the half assed outfits is so fucking hilarious. Like don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is the peak of comedy, but just look at 1:28.
Brendon was just on the ground, doing some weird ass shit, not difficult to do nor even pleasing to the eye, but at the culmination of it his background dancers throw their arms out as if presenting the most glorious thing ever seen. Hell one of them has like a pog face going.
I love that guy. It's so ridiculous and I'm glad he chose not to take this song seriously in the video.
I've been a panic fan since fever, and I have to say while this album is not their best in the slightest, this song is definitely my favorite off of it, I hope panic makes more like this one!!
yeah idk if this album is gonna hit it for me, but this song is good đ„Č
Yeah, they're old songs are way better
As a panic fan who love all of the songs ever but 3 of them this album is very disappointing. I only like 3 of the 13 songs and I'm so sad. They are honestly terrible to an extent. The songs are ok but the choruses overall just bad and repeated to much. And way to far from any of there past music. Compared to the albums at the start of panic these just aren't it. Not a bop.
their old songs are so much better, imo this album is their worst yet- but hopefully they'll start coming back to the older panic style rather than this mainstream thing
You are a musical genius, buddy! Canât wait to see you again at The Garden in a few weeks!

The last minute of the song is epic! đ€© I was vey intrigued when I heard the song earlier today⊠now - after seeing this - Iâm in love with the last minute! Omg! This album is so touching đ„°â€ïž Brendon has really shown how versatile he is đđ€

Amo a Panic! At The Disco
Sometimes it feels like the music is talking to you, knowing what you're going through at the moment. You are always flawless Brendon Urie! panic! At The Disco is amazing. Always was and always will be. Thank you for this!
Sad Clown is slowly becoming my favourite song from VLV.
I donât think Iâve laughed as much at a music video as I did for this one
I knew Brendon can sing high notes... BUT BROOO, I DIDN'T THINK THAT HE WOULD SING A C6 ON THIS SONG!!!! THIS IS SO FCKN CRAZY AND AMAZING!!!!!
The last note's really a F#5, but that's still *crazy* high for a male vocalist!
As amazing as it is it's gonna hurt when he has to do it live on tour multiple times in a row đđ
@@river3c761 He sings that high note in concerts, sans the power behind it. Doing that once wouldn't be that bad if he keeps his voice healthy. Hell, he sings an A#5 in Bohemian at a similar volume.
Still, he should back off on the high register. I liked watching Panic!'s tours better when it was the occasional octave jump instead of in every. single. song.
i don't know what this man thinks he's accomplishing by singing about how much he hates everyone who used to be friends with him but it's really not hitting the way he thinks it is
???
Who said Brendon hates someone? Emos need to stay away from Brendon, leave him alone. He will never bring back pop-punk, so cry about it
