LYRICS
Honeybee, honey, I can hear the gossip buzzin' 'round the hive
Ecstasy, love it up until the point you sting me and I die
You and me don't deserve each other
We ain't no star-crossed lovers, we just get carried away
Oh shit, you're kissin' my neck, kissin' my chest
Now I remember why we fell in love
Hot smoke, feels like we just met, lips I couldn't kick
Honey, honey, you're my favorite drug
Keep your disco, gimme me T. Rex
Makeup se* in the middle of a breakup
Blessed be your last cigarette
Makeup se* in the middle of a breakup
Destiny, I hate those words like destiny, forever and all time
Guarantee, guaranteed we live forever, least until tonight
You and me ain't no Bonnie and Clyde
Although we tried and tried, we gave ourselves away (Ahhh)
Oh shit, you're kissin' my neck, kissin' my chest
Now I remember why we fell in love
Hot smoke, feels like we just met, lips I couldn't kick
Honey, honey, you're my favorite drug
Keep your disco, gimme me T. Rex
Makeup sex in the middle of a breakup
Blessed be your last cigarette
Makeup sex in the middle of a breakup
(Makeup sex) In the middle of a breakup
(Makeup sex) In the middle of a breakup
Save the worst, gonna give you my best
Makeup se* in the middle of a breakup
Woo!
Keep your disco, gimme me T. Rex
Makeup sex in the middle of a breakup
Blessed be your last cigarette
Makeup sex in the middle of a breakup
(Makeup sex) In the middle of a breakup
(Breakup sex) In the middle of a breakup
Save the worst, gonna give you my best

I am just loving this new phase of Brendon's acting and dancing, that's what we needed for such a theatre musical band

It will!
I want to thank you, Brendon, for reminding me of the joy of good live music
Iâm 43 in November, so my concert-every-weekend days are far behind me, but I still try to see shows whenever I can. The difference though, between many others and Panic shows, is the energy you bring. I canât remember the last time I was still on that post-performance high days after itâs over and I go back to adulting, but all I can think about is the the AMAZING vibe at your show the other night - Iâm still rocking out in my head lol
Thank you for taking me back to the true joy that great music has to offer, when done right! TAKE ME TO THE LIMIT!!
The Grease vibes are strong with this one. Now I'm even more excited for the full album!
I was just gonna say that!
IKR IâM OBSESSED!! MY TWO FAVOURITE THINGS!!
I love the Grease vibes too! It's indubitably INCREDIBLE!! â€
Omg I was just about to point that out! Itâs a very pretty video! Maybe it could turn into a movie!
Ik this could be a controversial opinion, but I like how cheesy the pre-chorus is. I think it was done on purpose to emulate the cliches of 70's movies put into song form, especially considering how well the verses are written.

I like how 1k+ people liked this comment and 2 people replied
Can we all just say that panic at the disco died after there first album. Everything else has bin alright. Now this dude is just riding on his bands success.
After hearing the album live at his concert. I can now say these are underated songs! Sounds so much better at his concert!!
Same
Its a slow burn for sure.
I'm glad cause I'm going next week and I've just not been loving this album as much as his previous workđ I feel like such a bad fan
This album is definitely better after hearing it live it was absolutely amazing
It feels like a slow burn like Pretty Odd was... really wish they would have toured in my city again.
From a cinemtography standpoint I really love this video. And the song has really grown of me, ti was a slow burn. I was not a big fan at first but now im really digging it.
I'm normally a big fan, but I don't think this sound is my jam. Even though I love how good and polished it is!
I'm with you đ€·đŸââïž the last album had such swagger. This so far....does not
Same, the last two songs have felt a bit different from the sound I like to hear from him and vocally a lot of notes seem to be at the very top of his vocal range and sounds a touch strained to me. Other than that it is polished so I think this will def find an audience
I didnât like the last album that much since he got more of a pop feel. I had a lot of hope that I would like the new album since the last song panic dropped was what I was really looking for but idk now. But I do like the music video.
@@afiganyo5678 okay no but viva la vengeance slayed
viva las vegas was great song, this song makes me think im tone deaf, i cant the ryhme, its sounds so close to queen stuff, missing signature brendon
You can legit hear how strongly his music is influenced by Broadway
So true
I love that. â€ïž
And it's amazing nevertheless
Panic at the disco musical when?
unfortunately
1 year todayđą and I still miss Brendonâ€
i miss him
Visually the video is really nice, and the instrumentals of the songs are really good however the lyrics and the vocals are a total miss for me. Iâve loved panic for 7 years now and it pains me to not enjoy the new music
Keep listening and turn it up so you can really year all the instruments and harmonies and vocals. You will like it more and more. I've heard it like 40 times today and its great.
Thank god someone had to say it. Iâm in the same boat 100%
@@lovepanic2738 I really want to be able to like it and I do agree the instrumentals are lovely, but I find the vocals quite abrasive in the chorus and the lyrics are really bland, itâs genuinely the first panic song Iâve ever disliked. Unfortunately I donât see this one growing on me
His voice is completely off key, the production is crap and don't even get me started on the lyrics. Brendon, you're nearly 40 mate.... Like, come on. He still hasn't left his childish phase. Death of a Bachelor was the last quality album he put out.
@@lovepanic2738 40 times? Lol that's just brainwashing yourself at that point... but I agree to an extent, the production is fantastic and you have to listen for it. I just feel off with the chorus progression. That's the only thing for me. I still like it overall and it's growing on me.
Iâve been a Panic! fan for years now, and I love that something new is being tried here, but itâs just not quite my thing. This one felt,, I donât know. I felt confused throughout the whole song.. this just wasnât it, unfortunately! But I adored Viva Las Vengeance, and in EVERY album artists drop there will always be that one song youâre not quite sure of. I guess for me, this was the one, but Iâm really hoping the next songs are gonna be bops! I know they are!â€ïž
yes! you are valid - i feel the same way. i really loved viva las vengeance but i'm not sure how i feel about this song yet. i'm hoping the rest of the album resonates with me tho
why everyone is saying that? I got the concept as soon as grease and early 20ÂŽs Hollywood appeared, the music is like 80ÂŽs rock with a little bit of musical theatre, and the aesthetic is like 80ÂŽs musicals, I simply loved it. And the music, viva las vengeance reminded me of Little shop of horrors. I think people simply don't get how amazing this is.
Long time panic fan here as well. You need to learn to grow with the artist. His band has been around for YEARS, so itâs a given that his music style will change, itâs a different time. You have to learn to appreciate different kinds of music. These two songs are amazing lyrically and vocally and they have more of a story behind it than some of his past songs tbh
@@daresh5064 exactly!! People are so stuck on âpanic is emoâ blah blah blah, they are stuck on the past and need to learn to grow with the music
@@bdawg1118 panic isn't even emo lol but yeah
I didn't like the song very much in the beginning, but it's insane how much it has grown on me.
I know I got concert tickets before the full album was released but I'm so glad I did. They are those quality songs that need a second listen to be fully appreciated, and they rock so hard afterwards. So worth it.
This whole album I questioned myself, but after seeing him perform it LIVE, it hits different. I love it now!
@@chargreycsin1400 Thanks for this, I see them in March cause I'm in the UK, so good to know someone enjoyed it. I've always liked their previous stuff so fingers crossed I'll enjoy this live too. Everything hits different live.
Most of this album was that way for me. It's on constant repeat now!
Same with the whole album, think itâs especially hard for those who like their older music a lot
HOW DO PEOPLE NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM
The ones who say they didnât like it didnât give it a chance. They just chose to hate or donât like rock music.
â@@lovepanic2738"they chose hate rock music"
This is pop rock, it barely qualifies. The people hating on it tend to like their older music, which fits the 'Rock' label more. Everyone talking about why they dislike it has valid points, you don't. You're just blindly generalizing
I just haven't liked the last 3 albums, but there's some great stuff on this album including this song
me personally i feel like they flopped like more than 7 yrs ago
I donât really like it because Iâm more of a afycso - vices & virtues era fan. Good for Brendon for taking his music in the direction he wants to take it but it just doesnât hit the same. It may be the nostalgia from the old albums but at this point (before p!atd was finished) he should have went on as a solo artist. Iâm glad you enjoy his new music!
So glad to see Brendon putting out new songs. Parts of this video were really clever too, and I much prefer the chorus to the verses, which felt a bit choppy. However, I was hoping for more old school Panic!, indie/rock sounds. Hopefully the rest of the album will provide something for everyone.
This isnât just about the fans, you know? His band has been around for years and years so obviously his music style is going to change. If you canât stand to move on then find another band that has a similar sound to old panic
Agreed
Did you know he was gone cause he was cancelled
@@Midnight_Boulevard no he took a normal time break between an album
@@bdawg1118 this person was just commenting their opinion, but apparently thatâs not appropriate in a comment section.
I appreciate him exploring different styles and putting more of his love for musicals into this from what it sounds like..
Howeverrrr I sadly just donât think itâs my jam. Especially the "kissing my neck" bit trips me up every time, the rest I can get away with just vibing to, but this part just feels so out of place and choppy to me.
(Before anyone gets mad - This is just MY opinion. I still see his incredible amounts of effort and wish him all the best with this new album đ§Ą)
I agree, not a banger, but still not bad
You didnât love it completely? Ahhhh!!! no but seriously I feel similar to you. Itâs enjoyable but it not an all timer.
I agree! I personally, fell in love with the alternative rock songs in the classic albums of âA Fever You Canât Sweat Outâ and âVices & Virtuesâ so this isnât my cup of tea but Iâm keeping an open mind! :)
AGREED
Fair. As someone who hasn't liked anything from this band since the first album I like what I've heard from the first 2 singles so far.
Everybody's a little upset when their favorite band changes their sound (ask a Fall Out Boy fan about it!) but I really like this direction. If it's not for you, that's a shame, but what's most important is it doesn't make old Panic! sound any worse.
Iâm really happy you can see that. I honestly love this album. Itâs definitely a different sound but damn is it good!
that's not true at all, PATD changed their sound a million times, and every time i loved it, but this album is just not it, it feels like a choreographed mess
This song puts me in such a great mood! Being a breakup song, thatâs unexpected ahah love it
I love it!! It's got this 1970s rock thing going for it. His voice sounds great. The guitar riffs are amazing and the video is so adorable. đ„

Man, this is awesome. I love it when artists and song writers find a creative freedom. Brendon has clearly found that IMO and its wonderful to hear and see. Viva las vengeance was a jam, but i feel like this missing that classic Panic! Sound i love. That good edge and weird visual for no reason kind of thing. This just screams âput me on the radio and give me money!â more than like, genuinely enjoy me as a song.
This is more like Ninja Sex Party imo, theyâre a comedy band but theyâre very much part of the Glamrock era in costume if that doesnât tip you off to how ridiculous they can get, the band members are Danny Sexbang and Ninja Brian

I totally agree with you. I love Panic! At The Disco, and Brendon Urie is like one of my idols. But the song's catchiness does not hold up to P!ATD songs I am used to hearing from Brendon.
