I would say the reals reason worlds can feel smaller is because of the movement options. You can have a room five times bigger than any room in KH1 and it will immediately feel small when you can fly over it in two seconds.
Traverse Town will always be an iconic world in Kingdom Hearts, though for it to be created as a mod is truly insane! I do wonder though, seeing as Merlin and the Final Fantasy characters based on kingdom hearts story lore have gone back home to Radiant Garden/Hallow Bastion that certain specific areas will be used for another purpose instead?

I agree. I played KH3 a total of two full runs: once upon release and then last time was when ReMind came out. Never wanted to play it again. Even with all these great mods out for the game, it just doesn't feel worth it to play again.
@@Thegamerslounge33 Can't tell if you're trolling, but yea it isn't just KH2's replay ability. It's literally every other KH game vs KH3 (for me, imo). Like ffs, I've replayed Days on my DS, or CoM on the GBA more times than I've played KH3 as an example. Obviously, KH2 is prob number 1 in replay ability, but the point is that KH3 doesn't have the vibe for replay ability as all other KH games do.
Fun fact: if you use the Exiblade Menu mod and delete the wall between Merlin’s house and the fire door, there’s a large lake like, just like how KH1 had the lake with the floating stone platforms.

I think part of the reason why the older worlds feel smaller as well is your movement. In KH1, it was a lot more limited. Now, you're so mobile that you can just jump up to the places that you needed to climb several buildings to get to! It's a really cool seeing just how much the series has evolved.

Seeing the recreated Dive sequence makes me hope that after the KH1 areas are completed, that the DDD areas are next in line. Making both Riku’s and Sora’s routes accessible at once on top of the KH1 areas would make the whole world feel on par with the rest of KH3 in regards to size. Heck, sneak the access points from Re;Coded and have them lead to a miniature Colosseum-style challenge and I’d be absolutely thrilled.

I think another reason the world feels so much smaller when ported into kh3 is Sora has so many more movement abilities, the fact he can get to every corner of the map and quickly too kind of shrinks the world in a way.

I think it would be cool for square to remake all the pre Unreal Engine kingdom hearts games in UE. They could call them “Kingdom Mix” after the Kingdom Shader.

Nintendo can learn a thing or 2 from the Kingdom Hearts modding community that luckily square Enix leaves alone for the most part, as they encourage this behavior and can easily hire some of these modders for future development in the industry and encourage creative fan projects rather than condemn them and taking them down. I LOVE this mod so much and hits me with nostalgia and cozy vibes!
I will never understand why Square never hires any of these wonderful modders for their teams to work on their games. Between things like this and some really good modders in like the FF14 community literally fixing issues they say they can't fix or making things that aren't in the game at all it's crazy they don't hire these people. This is incredible work. FF and Kh modder communities always amazes me.
If possible, it would be cool to remove the Meow Wow summon from where we get it in Twilight Town during the early story, and have it be unlocked somewhere here instead.

Also, the first game had a more zoomed in camera. It made the environment look bigger.
