Bro got a point. Normally, I'd agree with the statement of it being nobody's business, but it led to one of the wrestlers making power plays in how they were booked. Not saying HHH wouldn't have gotten over eventually, but having the boss's daughter in your corner does help.
And if you were a wrestler around that time, it'd be hard not to think it was bullshit that a coworker got promoted because the boss's daughter liked him more.

@@shangarbagio From what I know about HHH's history, it was always Vince's intention to pass the business to HHH and HBK. Marrying the boss's daughter was just the icing on the cake that Vince originally was opposed to. So if HHH made power plays on how we was booked then that's not a bad thing. One thing that you learn about business is that you always protect your brand. That's what Hulk Hogan did, what Austin did and yet Hogan was hated for it but not Austin. As for The Rock he already had business ventures with Hollywood so he felt no need to protect his wrestling brand which is sad because had he done that we would not have ended up with a main eventer who also did power plays on how he was booked but only for his own benefit and not the business and since he was handed that main event position he brought no credibility and no legitimacy to his title reigns. As for HHH he earned his main event position through the years he put into the company, his initial DX run, his weathering the punishment for the curtain call incident, and his legendary feuds with another up and coming star The Rock. As for HBK, I have to believe that even Vince McMahon would not have allowed HBK to help run the business had he not cleaned up his own life.
Triple H being as successful as he was (during his in-ring career) and his success after dating then marrying Stephanie (the boss's daughter) was always going to raise eyebrows, especially during and after his reign of terror. However, Triple H was also really good on the mic and in the ring.
What he is doing with WWE now is even more telling. Did dating Steph help his rise? Of course. Was it the only reason? Hell no. HHH has always had a great mind for wrestling and was already being groomed by Vince. Dating Steph just happened. HHH is one of the overall GOATs of wrestling. He's so smart.

In terms of McCool....im not sure how much influence taker had, but there was an extent to which Laycool became overkill. I also honestly could understand there being resentment in the fact that even Layla was womens champ it basically became McCools belt and Layla was 2nd fiddle to her.

It reminds me of the very old WrestleLamia days of 2015-2017 where you tended to go more in depth and make jokes about topics instead of just a standard list. I never got the hate for Michelle. She more than proved she could get over with her ability in the ring and to play a heel. She never interacted with Undertaker on screen at all - most fans had no idea they were even an item.
for taker id imagine a big part of it is their age difference, its not enough to be scandalous, but theyre still 15 years apart, taker is just shy of being old enough to be her father.
So from the outside looking in its easy to assume he was just marrying a hot young girl and that she was only in it to boost her career. Doesnt mean thats true but you can see why people would think that just from seeing them together.

Based Undertaker is the real MVP 5:05 here. In every job I've ever had, there are always coworkers who date each other, and if it doesn't involve me I usually mind my own business, because it just happens. I've dated women I've worked with as well, I feel like everyone out there has. Like Bruce Pichard said, if you're on the road with someone 24/7/365, life happens. You're gonna develop some kind of bond with someone of the opposite sex, and to be honest it happens in every aspect of life and in every type of job there is out there, it's just human nature to develop any kind of feelings for someone you share so much time with.

On the topic of the Bellas, I think the one thing that really frustrates me the most is how differently the twins were pushed.
In the WWE, Brie came before Nikki. Of course, Nikki was apart of the Twin Magic gimmick, but wasn’t an individual wrestler. Nikki was ringside at all of Brie’s matches, and if I remember correctly she didn’t even have her name for a while.
They became the Bella Twins and Brie basically turned into Nikki’s sidekick. Brie has only had one run with the Divas title, only holding it for 70 days. Its always just annoyed me. I absolutely adored them growing up, and even as a kid I noticed that it was weird.
Nikki was literally the face of the Divas division, is the longest reigning Divas champion, got so many more oppurtunities, etc. Brie didn't even have a match at Evolution. Idk. It’s just annoying.
I remember being a kid and I thought the Lita sh!t was terrible. Being an adult who has a better understanding of how relationships work, I understand fully how eff’d up that was
