This show is so underrated. It has an original concept, it's action packed, the graphics are beautiful, the cast are ethnically diverse, the actresses have chemistry with each other. Why aren't they getting higher ratings? it doesn't make sense.
There's little access to watch it in many countries and a lot of platform restrictions.
It was renewed for season two. That's what matters.
I really love the show but I think the script is a little simple at times... but mostly it's not getting higher ratings because people are homophobic and oppose diversity
Best show in years. I thinking about it every day since I watched it. Kinda glad I only got to know this masterpiece recently, I would have been devastated to wait for the second season.

I totally get that #Raylla ... I just finished it (I know I'm late) and I don't regret anything, I can't believe that I haven't watched this show sooner. And the fact that it is so underrated breaks my heart 😢.
I just finished all 3 seasons last night.. It was good.. I loved the show.
Ashley: “They’ll have time” .... The world shuts down for quarantine.... Me: oh, I should totally watch Motherland (bc i honestly wasn’t planning to) since I have to stay home. End of story, NO REGRETS!!! Excellent show and I love these 3 ladies (and the 3 missing).

Huh. To me she’s SO MUCH different than her character. Not a big fan of Rae but Taylor is AWESOME 👏🏾

I think freeform is better off giving this show more seasons than to cancel it. I haven't seen many shows like it on that network.
I want 10 seasons.
Based on the current ratings, it definitely won't and I'm confused because the concept is so unique and the cast is so diverse in terms of ethnicity. This is what a lot of people need to see nowadays. They lack in promotion. The only way I know about this is because two of the lead characters are into each other. I came for the gay content but I kept watching because it's actually a good show.

Wow. What Jessica said about Raelle being the mind, Abigail being the body and Tally being the heart is so relevant and smart. I love this.
Also it's both cute and kind of sad that Taylor was blown away by the fact that they were witch trials in Europe. Honey, there were witch trials on a much larger scale than Salem in Europe before Europeans even came to America (the peak was around the 1400s). The witch figure was born in Europe by the Christian Church to create easy scapegoats.

I actually stumbled upon a tumblr post mentioning the show the other day and decided to watch the first episode since I had nothing else to do. I ended up binge watching the entire first season that same day. Yes, all 10 episodes. Love the story line, the characters, the setting, the effects, etc. Also; there is a F/F main couple, so it's a win for the gays!

It hasn't been that long ago that I came across this show. I've watched it so many times, that I can't count. The question of comparing theirselves to other witches in TV or movies, they remind me of a TV show called charmed. It's based on 3 sister's that have their own individual specialty but together as 3 were invisible.

If they keep the love couple alive in the series, it will survive. But if the couple is broken up, or killed off, the series won't survive. Fans want to see love to glue the story together.

Rúben Bernardo Is there’s a lot of bullshit , unneeded love scenes and the typical crap shows like this ALWAYS FALL for. Then at most I see 1 season. 2 if they try to keep it alive but if a third, it’s already dead by then. There aren’t anymore legit action, entertaining tv shows anymore. There’s always some subliminal message the average person doesn’t give a sh^t about. You can’t judge a book by its cover but Tv shows today seem to be using the same authors so assumption should be safe. But we shall see. Many channels will cover it. Some will praise it simply because 1 person does and others will give unbiased reviews.
And there it is, both sides being ass holes just because. I hope the show does well it's a different concept for a female-driven narrative without Man bashing like batwoman.
the “unneeded love scenes” are part of the character’s. they are 18 years old, Tally who has never been in contact with men her own age, these young adults are truly young and they’re not going to have the eyes of a 40 year old. they’re allowed to have sex and fall in love. Raelle is dealing with grief and happened to find a girl who she has feelings for. the reason why there isn’t more action is because they’re in training. their work was illegal before they joined so they cannot just rush into battle with no prior experience. i think it would be incredibly boring if these 18 year olds acted as full grown adults and never once made childish mistakes.
I hope it goes until 9 seasons
