This is the guy that I usually think about when I talk about HK weapons with my friends. He definitely is the face of HK America.
I completely agree
100% he is and I think Jake and I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for watching. 👊🏼
This guy is the personification of the H&K social media vibe.
And I wouldn’t change a thing

No I don’t think he hates HK buyers quite that much.
Hk is so gay
I had the privilege of working with James for a few years. Such a depth of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm! He gave me a personal tour of the Grey Room back in the day. Made me think very financially irresponsibly 🤑
I’d love to wörk for HK too, am in the midst of my engineering studies and can tell I have just that “out of the box” thinking with analytical skill as well (kind of chronically / can tell and have proof, too). Since I got my hunting license, I dream of a mr308/hk417 and customizing it into my perfect hunting rifle without loosing the hk look and feel (you know … this alert popping up in your brain, when you see a hk product and just know it is one).
HK is one of the rare things in this world that deserve its near mythical status.
I don't know why HK ever discontinued the P7. It's one of the best made handguns in history.
P7M8 Hard to squeeze.
I shoot the G11 in 1990 when the Bundeswehr trails were terminated.
The reason were the uncontrollable cookoffs.
Meaning when the gun was hot and you chambered a round, you could count to three and it would fire! Even with the safety on.
One other “dislike” by the Bundeswehr officers had was the fact that you could not place the ammo in your pocket for a while.
It would break up.
Man that room...
Heaven...
I feel James is like a total member of the 1911 syndicate..
James would make an excellent Bond. James for the next 007 and his weapon, the H&K P7
And he's got the right hair color. But we all know who the next Bond will be, these people love burning money and destroying franchises. Which serves to destroy their propaganda machines and only elevate the originals.
I mean I’d buy a ticket
James Bond with the American Accent.😁👍
I'm a big HK fan, and enjoy every video that has James W. in it! Keep bringing him back! I'm envious that you guys were in "the room".
Cheers mate
We would have James on every single episode and I don’t think k we nor the audience would complain. He would for sure get fired if us😂😂😂
So u a fan?;how many H&K Do u have
@@TheRealZJE313 I got like 3000:, bruh! How many u got?: 😀
Took James vp9 armorers course. Sharp guy no bull shit trainer and instructor. Really enjoyed learning from him.
James is such a wealth of knowledge I can’t find a single fault in his top 5 guns. It’s what I Think I would pick if I was there lol. Great work guys!
This H&K series is just fucking awesome!!! Please do more of these with other brands. Love the history of the brand and of course, the antics the both of you bring to each and every video!
I EDC one of my P7-M13s too. In a Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster.
Can you guys get this guy to show us the HK 433?
James is a man of good tastes. Not just in firearms but also in chicken biscuits. Bojangles Cajun filet biscuits have nursed me through many hangovers.
James just verbally nailed the concept of the G11 program with ease - what a perfectly honed description for such a complex, multi-faceted undertaking. Oh and guys - this video is awesome just like your last few... All grand slams lately as far as your videos - nice work.
Oh shit I forgot about about Bojangles - we don't have them around here! But I've eaten there - their chicken biscuits are heavenly...
Thank you all for the video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 That is definitely the best number one selection ever on this channel
I love that the marine chooses the full auto grande launcher as his #1
Fantastic video gentleman I greatly appreciate and helped take the mind off of current events. Love the 80’s and 90’s H&K history.
🤙🏻
James did a great job on my brother's HK USP LEM trigger install. He's a stand up guy.
Love that the channel has grown from bashing HK to being in the Gray Room with James in an hour long video. Well done guys
Evolution
@@1911syndicateno longer in the poors category 😂
Jkjk
James is a cross between Tyrone Powers and Gregory Peck..absurd knowledge of HK history…great video..guys
Love your work James and your channel, thanks for the great information
this is the content we want to see
Thank you 1911Syndicate for this production. Seeing the vaunted and hallowed H&K Grey Room is an unimaginable dream.
Very jealous you guys got to hang out there and learn so much cool stuff
Very fortunate to have had the opportunity
🤙🏻
I definitely appreciate all this H&K production and discussions etc. !! H&K for life baby!!#1👍
🤙🏻
Awesome HK stuff guys. The entire series, if that’s what it was.
Indeed
Absolutely love this series. I also think Jake looks more like his modern family doppelganger than James does. Sorry Mitchell, you know it's true
Hahaha Jake is currently staying with me and the wife while we film in AZ. My wife said the exact same thing 😂
That’s fake news!
Oh, this one was worth the watch. Since I live about 100 miles from Columbus, I’m already scheming in my head how I can attend an armorers class. Wish I’d known you guys were on my end of the continent, I’d have bought you a chicken biscuit.
But where would the chicken biscuits be from? I'm thinking chick-fil-a - theirs is the best fast food one in my opinion. Dang, now I wish I still worked the overnight shift after all these thoughts... I would get chicken biscuits in the morning for dinner when I worked that shift!
James is a national treasure, in the HK world, who should get the same notoriety in the entire firearms Industry. Beauty and brains = majestic combination 💯
The word is celebrity not notoriety
I was with a unit in the IC (intelligence community) which I can not mention, and we had G 36s, and they were great weapons.
This was the best 60 minutes of my life, my wife asked why i was smiling for so long, thank you guys
Wonderful video. I was NOT expecting Gun 1.
This videos view count deserves to be in the 6 digits, what a great way to spend an hour
Hello H&K
Damn one minute in and that wall is fnnnn awesome 👌 solid work as usual fellas
🍻
This whole series has been awesome!
This channel has awesome content! Well done gentlemen
Such a great video, keep them coming.
Loved the episode. Great work and James is a fantastic guest.
Great job guys. Amazed that you got the guy from Modern Family on the show
HK used to be in my home town of Trussville, Alabama. Great people. 1st gun I bought at 21 in 97 was a USP tactical in .45 after one of their reps showed me one. A usp compact in .40 was next and 9mm right after. Definitely love them.
10mm has been coming back, and rightfully so.
What a great episode. Also saw you guys were filming something at east valley tactical in Mesa, that's the gun shoo I always go to, I live like 2 miles away, looking forward to that
Just eatin’ some Bonangles in the Gray Room. 😂
I mean someone had to do it
😂😂😂😂
Great video. My top 5 is Xm8, vp9, mp5k, 416, mk23.
Great job!
It’s amazing how the G11 looks like it belongs 20 years in the future…40-50 years after it was designed!
So true
I can confirm as a PSG1 owner, it still out shoots most semi-auto's today, even some bolt guns. However it demands alot of maintenance to keep it that way. Still it is a great weapon system when taken care of. Great video. Glad the G11 was in it as well.
Top Gear nod. I kinda like it
I smiled throughout the entire video. Awesome content.
Awesome! Thank you!
love these guys
HK is a bucket list gun for most people. Because you can't afford it when you buy it. But you buy one eventually anyway. Then you can't afford ammo because you are broke.....forever.
Yes, there is a very hungry HK91 in the safe next to me.
First off, loved the video. (As usual). James seems like a very cool dude that fits in with you two. Now. WHO is he? What was his first video with his background stuff that I can learn more about WHO he is. Seems like a very intelligent person. Also. That GMG is now my next years Christmas want. Lol. When you’re done with it Jake, I’ll pay the shipping for it to VA. 😂
They have my favorite rifle of all time on here the PSG1
It’s not too bad
Well done!
Yet to handle any HK, but I must admit the USP definitely speaks to my sensibilities... Curious to see how the SFPCC goes if it ever gets here.
At this point, I suspect I’m being brainwashed by the H&K Syndicate. The sad thing is, I kinda like it.
Join the dark side - we have Grey Rooms and 10mm variants!
Hahaha. 1911’s and HK for the win
Hahahahah 😂😂 as long as you admit you’re enjoying it 😂
I was going to write that this is another excellent episode but how can it be anything but excellent when it's cominng from the Gray Room. Even learned some things...don't recall hearing of the .45 version of the P7. Also who wouldn't want the GMG? Thanks!!
The grenade machine gun ❤❤❤❤
Best video on the intrawebs this year. Period.
Got a nickel P7M8 NIB that I love. Such a nice piece. The rest are basically not obtainable
Silent Scope in the arcade is the closest i'll ever get to touching a psg1 lol
Xm8 is still one of the coolest rifles ever
I was surprised the USP wasn’t one of the five weapons highlighted. For decades, my USP .45 ACP Tactical has been among my most esteemed hand guns and (imho) the USP-series innovations (recoil reduction system, incredible reliability, accuracy and durability, first polymer frame, manual of arms, barrel material and manufacturing, and so forth) clearly were trend-setters for the industry. For example, one frequently hears the claim that Glocks were the first polymer receiver handguns, however, the fact is H&K were.
Just a little too normal for a list of this magnitude
The USP is the first polymer frame in what way?
Best idea ever… go into the gray room, stage a interview, learn about your dream weapons, set up a blindfold test with the involved and try to get away with your favorite :D
Carried a P-2000 (.40) for 15 years and I miss it, I was issued an SK as well. The trigger was something a little different but whatever.
My top 5 HKs. MP5K, 416/M27, G3, Mk23/USP45 series, P30 LTT
Nice taste
Damn, swap the G3 for PSG1 and we're golden.
Very knowledgeable guy wen comes to hk....
Can’t get enough H&k
My understanding on the Miami Vice story was that the producers wanted Crockett to carry a gun that while unusual and cutting edge, was at least attainable. Thus the Bren Ten...of course I'm not sure where Crockett was supposed to have sourced his magazines from... I had the opportunity the handle that gun back when I worked for ITD.
My top 5 and gray room top 5 would be totally different..that being said these gray room choices are many of the same i would have picked
You just said two contradictory statements. Either they are "totally different" or "the same" you would have picked.
@@kanagawakenji7 no its not, im saying MY personal top 5 HKs are different than this list, but if i was in the gray room and had to pick a list of most infamous HK builds, my list would include the psg-1, g11, p8, etc. Get it?
Need a video on the mp5/10 now!
The “Modern Family Guy” also in Black Hawk Down 😉
How about more hammer fired pistols with optics? Why is those a striker fire only option?
I would check out the USP45T. Especially if you enjoy the mk23. Far more practical and easier to shoot at speed. Just as durable
Firing the GMG past a mile is a bit annoying as you have to tilt the sights forward so far that you are just looking at the top cover. Lot of fun to use though.
I got to go into the grey room when it was still in Alexandria Va. I find it ironic that most the guns picked are discontinued. I wish they would bring back the P7m8. Shame it is not available anymore.
It was never in Alexandria....Ashburn
The mp5 was sick
If you attend one of the armorer's classes on the road, do you still get the 40% discount towards an HK production firearm, or do you have to attend one of the classes in Columbus?
I need one those #1 gun👍
HK heaven
“Do you think I’m stupid” 😂
That German engineering is wild
Darn, almost 1911 viewer
Want to bring more people into the gun culture?
Drop the tactical profile and go to button down shirts and chinos.
Very interesting video.
I wonder how much money it would take to buy the guns in the gray room
Yes.
Many dollars
This was a long video! I had to go refill my drink and honk out a dirt snake when they got to the MP5/10.
Why don’t you guys talk about the LMG11 ? It hold 200 caseless ammo in the stock and I haven’t seen any videos on that prototype or the smg11 which is a predecessor to the mp7 but is caseless
I'm here for a MP7.
When HK's social media girl got fired, they couldn't find a better replacement than James IMO
This is, without a doubt, the best video you've ever posted. You absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one.
Nope, hard disagree. They're MK23 video was a paradigm shift in our understanding of that gun's history.
Hey either way appreciate the nice words
Very very kind of you. Jake, James and Crispy knocked it out of the park
Regarding similarity in looks, I would say he looks more like he could be Chad Stahelski’s brother !
1911 syndicate bringing nothing but HEATERS lately. Soon they won’t to be selling real estate anymore and can play with guns full time.
I’m surprise he didn’t show the DSR 1 or MSG90
How much for a 10mm swap? Barrel, mag, disconnector?
Only shot 1 hk before, the p30L .40. The soft recoil was impressive for.40 but honestly that trigger is so ass I hate the LEM shit trigger & why buy overpriced guns from someone that doesn’t even care about me as a civilian buying an don’t want me to buy doesn’t make sense keep your guns then 😂. Side note he got me hooked on that bojangled chicken biscuit, them hash rounds are so addictive 😍
The Cajun chicken biscuits aren’t the same anymore tho…
:(
The pimento saves them
Let’s see Paul Allen’s favorite HK. GREAT VIDEO
