Lovely guitar sounds great I love jazz as well as rock metal & blues. Jazz with distortion is prog rock/metal anyway, I’ve not long bought an Ibanez jsm20 and it’s incredible, for all styles
I have an Ibanez AS 153 which is very similar to this guitar. It is no longer made, but what is tonally common between the two is the chime. There is a bell- like clarity to these guitars. It is there when playing acoustically or with clean amplification. For my guitar it was there with the Super 58 pickups and maybe even more prounounced with the Fralin Pure PAFs that I installed. Also, if you don't want to get distracted from bebop jazz, don't start playing your guitar through distortion. John Scofield has built a whole career distorting that guitar.

If only the camera was framed so that Anthony was positioned at the viewer's left of screen so that we could get a full view of the AS2000 including the guitar's headstock.

The guitar is beautiful like an old fashion car. A little outdated with modern eyes, but still very beautiful to be hold in my opinion.

Hehe very cool. Have the cheapie jsm10, which is very similar, but still a nice guitar! Also with the humbucker single coil switch! You groove pretty well for a shredder!

My two cents: Fujigen made Ibanez quality not great these days. Just got a new AS2000 $3K top end unit with one thread hole stripped, tooling issues on the acrylic binding, settings all wrong and one Gotoh machine head very hard to spin. I have a telecaster made in Indonesia of better quality, and it was 1/3 of this Ibanez. Called Ibanez and they told me to ship it to the only one location they provide service in US on my money. Very disappointing! Ibanez, I've promised you a video on youtube about what you sell and how you treat your clients. That will come shortly, I just purchased a GB10 so now I will be able to provide a broader picture of these issues.
