It’s all about good and bad energy. I was always taught when one enters the room that person should speak. You don’t have to have a long conversation but it only takes a second to speak. It’s all about starting the day off with positive energy. I know Roland says he has his game face on and he doesn’t speak to anyone before the show. It only takes a second to say good morning. Good Morning = Good Energy.
Lastly I have to say I support both Roland and Dr. Johnson. The reason why is because they are both on the same team fighting for their people. Both are educated with strong wills and big egos but must realize they are on the same team. This reminds me of when Malcolm X left the NOI to form his own organization. Although they had a disagreement both Malcolm’s new organization and the Nation were still on the same team fighting for their people but unfortunately it ended tragically because of ego and jealousy. Sometimes we have to set our egos and pride aside for the bigger picture.
Another problem in our community is the inability to eradicate confusion amongst our brotherhood/sistarhood, and how valuable we are to each other. It's disappointing to hear him say Umar means nothing to him. This is what continues to drive the division within our communities. Roland says he hates drama, but he's continuing to through fuel and coals on this fire instead of coming with an extinguisher.

Although, I have heard guests on podcasts in general talk about how hosts didn't greet them. It's seems to be an industry standard. When challenged for this in the podcast, at least one hosts justified it by saying he is too busy at that time, prepping everything for the show, to greet all guests personally. And the rest of the crew basically agreed with host. And it is like TV, expensive and pressurized work environment. Personally I'd like a nod of the head at least, but I could understand and forgive if I didn't get it.

Before I retired, I did that all the time. Why? I'm not a morning person and that time of day bugged the shit out of me. I told people not to talk to me before I've had my 1st couple cups of coffee. THEY understood. Not sure why you don't. Roland might've been deep in thought too, and didn't even see Umar. I didn't see people either, early in the morning. I ran from those perky, "Good morning," folks. Takes me a while to get my motor running, then I was bothering people who were winding down when I was winding up. We would laugh & laugh about my hyper ass in the afternoon hours. I'll never forget this one guy who would groan when he saw me coming in the afternoon. I'd run up to him and say HEY all loud. He said consistently that he couldn't stand my ass. I LAUGHED, which made him laugh too!!

On July 22 I was pulled over by lake county police Department told me to take A DUI AND I PASSED WITH 3 zeros.
HAD TO TAKE MY BLOOD DRAWN. To the Hospital THEN the POLICE TOOK ME TO JAIL. I was THERE FOR 72 HOURS. THE ONLY TIME I WAS ABLE TO MAKE A PHONE CALL WAS WHEN I WAS IN THE POLICE CAR. I HAD TO BEG. I ALSO TOLD THE POLICE THAT I HAD A disability AND THEY MADE FUN OF ME. I speak with a slur and have a cognitive delay. My blood was negative. I spent 3 days in jail and had to pay fines and to get my truck out of impound. They threw my case out of court but my rights have been violated and they did not take me serious. I have been financially and emotionally strained because of all this and they do not believe me.

I’ve heard the same rhetoric for 60 years and it hasn’t happened yet, but I’ve watched other groups come out of nowhere and get it done in 10 years. They don’t tie themselves to any political parties they vote their interests and understand that nobody is there for them, they do for themselves. They have their problems and they’re beefs but they don’t air their dirty laundry in public because their ethnic image is important to them.
