Daniel needs a permanent position!!! I really enjoy him running around the house giving his input. I get a lot out of what he notices in the homes and you habe raised a very charismatic young man!!!
This home is GORGEOUS! This is a renovation done right. Has all of the modern conveniences of a new build with the space and charm of a classic. I genuinely have no idea why this hasn’t sold yet.
Daniel immediately saying how "homey" it is, making himself comfy on the couch and picking out his room and closet! lol Jonathan... "and this would be our room", test driving the shower and saying, "I don't know why this home hasn't sold"! Next episode Jonathan telling us the house SOLD while dangling the keys from his hands! 😆😆😆
Coming from Boston The lot size for the price didn’t bother me HOWEVER, some landscaping to help buyer make the most of the smaller lot would go along way.
I’ll take it!!!!! It’s not selling because it’s waiting for ME!!!! This is my ideal house. It’s so clean and spacious and a blank canvas with a classy minimalistic touch. Right up my alley 😃👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️love it!!!!
This house is stunning and classic with just enough modern. Chevy Chase is a high end area but 4.7 is excessive. I can see people offering 3-3.5. I think the seller may be holding out for asking
This house makes me think of the house I grew up in. I adore it. I fell in love the moment you said the words "cherry blossom tree." For me, it was the pocket doors, all the floors, the full basement, and the distinct living spaces. If I could afford it, I would purchase this home.
That’s my dream house but even if I had the money, I wouldn’t pay that much. It’s about a $1.5M too high considering the comps in the area. They are requesting a significant upcharge based on it being new construction. There is a similar home with similar sq footage in the same area on the market for $2.5M. They don’t have updated finishes but the layout is great and you could put half a million to update it and still not pay anywhere near $4.7.
Shock by the $4.7million price tag!!🤔🤔 ...Beautiful home(nevertheless😍) that may stay on the market for awhile base off the price🤪🤪 Not many clients out looking for a $4+million dollar house
love the refrigerator. Looks like they got a refrigerator and a freezer and built them in to look like it's one. but I think it's actually two pieces. people dont realize, but it's actually cheaper to do it this way.
Recently found your channel and your videos. Love what you do! I actually live in this neighborhood and drive by this house every day. I honestly think while the house is very nice, it's really overpriced for the neighborhood. When first listed I think they were asking $4mil when the average price is around $1.5 - $2mil.
You have a very nice assistant. It is nice to see the two of you together. Enjoy this time, they grow up fast. It looks like the price might be a factor.
I love this house. Now I wouldn’t want to pay that much but maybe that’s the cost on that neighborhood. For 4.3 there should be a pool and a decent sized yard and even more space between neighbors but for the upgrades and being in an established neighborhood I love it and if I had the money to blow I would definitely purchase this one.
This is a renovation done right. Beautiful finishes from the herringbone entry floor to the individual control thermostats in each upper level room, etc.etc.etc. The only problem here is the price....not saying it's not worth it, it's simply out of reach for many these days.
The house is stunning... I love the colors! It looks like it would be a very comfortable home.... but for 4 million... I think you could get a more luxurious house...enjoyed seeing your son!
The house is stunning and in such a beautiful neighborhood. I think the size of the back yard might be an issue. For the price, I would think you would have enough space for a pool and pool house.
Great House. Neighbors too close. backyard too small. Comps probably making house too expensive. That bedroom above the owner's suite is a turnoff. Lower the price.
Love the house and neighborhood. So far I cannot find anything major as to why it hasn't sold. These older homes have so much character and they were built to last. I'm guessing it must be the price.
Beautiful contemporary home nothing to replace, rebuild or gut...I think why it it has not sold is the asking price is way too much but it would be a comfortable family home to live in and leave to generations to live in
This is one of my favorite houses. There's a lot of painting for me to do before moving in because I really really don't like the white walls and white kitchen. Too much white gives off a COLD 🥶 feeling to me. If the house had a much larger yard then it could justify the high price listing.
Beautiful home but it's the price. I think I'd want more yard/outdoor space for that price. Needs private outdoor entertainment area for the size of the house and the price.
I thought this house was exceptional. The staging was awesome, love the green in the dining room, soft green. Kitchen could use backsplash with some beige or light green tones but otherwise great. I didn’t see how the garage is laid out on the outside since it is raining. Wanted to see how the garage it is laid out compared to the alley, next door house. Could have some more backyard features, could put in some Italian cypress on the fence so I wouldn’t be looking into the house below, minor issues. Definitely have to see the comps in the neighborhood. 😊
I had trouble with the backyard view. at 5M that’s an issue for me. Im a native and know that many houses were built close together at every price point from THE GOLD COAST to MLK JR AVENUE but if the builders/architect couldn’t fashion an esthetically-pleasing- beautiful-property border aka fence, i’d pass. But that is a characteristic of DC…that I don’t like.
This is a beautiful, beautiful home! I couldn't find too many things wrong with it and I loved how the home was staged. The only thing I think could be the problem is maybe the price since you didn't give what the homes in that area are selling for. My other thought was maybe because of the size of the home with the many levels, a buyer might like to have an elevator and I myself would have liked to have the Pantry closer to the kitchen area where I am cooking instead of having it at the location where it is currently. Other than that, the home is lovely! 😊
The home is lovely! The only thing I can see would be the backyard. However, when you have that beautiful closed in area, that’s sufficient. I missed the price.
I love this home, but it's oddly not finished for me. I want to see more household storage and a much bigger and better pantry. This home is for at least 6 people and it has to fit all of their things. It's so pretty and I love it, but it is lacking when I look around for everyday living. It should have a storage room, and no the garage shouldn't be used for household storage. They will spend thousands to put in more storage and probably lose some square footage or have to cut up a room. The primary closets are nice, but no WOW. Again the finishes are stepped up a bit, but luxury? It's not worth 4.2 mil, I think you said. There's no real backyard either. Where are the outdoor amenities, fireplace, kitchen, and amazing seating area, how about a putting green a dog run, or something. When I moved into my space it is aesthetically gorgeous, but it was severely lacking in storage. I have had to spend so much just to store my things, and now this place went from a 10 to 7 for me.
I love this one, but geeesh, that's expensive! I would expect more from a backyard for that price -people in that range are probably looking for a pool, or the ability to add one. They may be also looking for additional backyard amenities (kitchen, fireplace, basketball court)...just more outdoor entertainment areas
I like Danial he is such a cute child ilove the real wood burning fireplace throughout this whole house and I like gold fixtures like Danial live the oak looking zig zag wood 🪵 floor I hate carpet I wish those beautiful cabinets were wooden stained cabinets to match floors appliances were great this house should have a jacuzzi bathtub and not a soaker tub to cheap for a bathroom so large with a great shower I would put fancier chandeliers for the upgrades more bling bling appeal 😊😢
Beautiful house. I know home sales have slowed in our area in Arizona the last few months. Houses that were fetching close to or over 1 million in our area are now sitting for months. Enjoy seeing your son work with you.
Gorgeous house lot way too small too high in price. What’s with basement issues? I didn’t grow up with them. Does your property tax go up for size or finish of the basement? I’ve never owned I wouldn’t know. Why is it if a home is a mil or more we expect a pool?🤔 I do lol. Your son is an additional help and fun and funny. Good job Dad🌟 thanks again🙏🏻❤️😎
They want all there money back for them upgrades Thats a simple old 10000 mansion with servants quarters that's been redone with alot of goodies and they want that money back 1mill tops
I know exactly where that house is; my stepmom lives down the street from it. I really wouldn't call that house Chevy Chase since its in DC and not Chevy Chase, or Chevy Chase Village Maryland or I would say its in so and so neighborhood of DC. For me I would say the issues are 1) the yard next door to it. 2) The mess of power lines 3) busy traffic in the area 4) people are always driving in the area to find parking for places nearby 5) its sandwiched between 3 busy roads. To me the price seems alright may be a few hundred thousand over what it should be. I see more pros than cons
Now this is a well done and pretty house. $4.7mill, though, I don't think so. The area must have them a little over-gassed. I just pulled up one on Zillow (I know they are no prayer book), but it was $3.2mill 6 beds 7 baths 7,814 sqft. Several others $1-2mill up to $3mill. It's unfortunate. It really is a nice house.
It is a beautiful house with very good finishes, but it is not a 4.7 mil house. The neighborhood is in a desirable area, but again, for the price asked there should be lots of outdoors living areas. This house will appeal to people who like city life, but even they might not want to part with that much money.
I would pay every penny for this house it’s impeccable I love that area it’s not too big great for entertaining neutral color scheme ❤❤❤❤❤ (is it still for sale?)
What's actually eye pleasing the most with this house are the bathrooms. They all were the best focal points for me...the bathrooms were definitely upscale bathrooms.Sorry I'm a kitchen and bathroom person😜...those two rooms are "ALWAYS" the deal taker ,or breaker for me.
Good morning, Thank you all SO MUCH for your commitment to posting homes, getting other's insights, and educational information in the DMV area. I always feel as if I'm on tour of the homes with you all. I SIMPLY ❤ viewing new builds, remodels & renovations. Blessings and safe travels on the roads.
Beautiful house!!! The amenities and appointments are definitely in the million dollar range. It’s gorgeous. I don’t see anything wrong. It’s impeccable. But what about the street. It seems over-improved maybe. Please come back and tell us what’s up with it.
They did a phenomenal renovation🤩! I couldn't see where any corners cut...the home is beautiful.🥰 I suspected if they were asking something like 6M, that would be the reasons, but no. I don't live in MD so, I'm no expert on the neighborhood, but with the square footage, finishes and outdoor area...honestly the price seems fair, but I guess the comps don't lie.🤷🏽♀
Well, the camera work was seasick-inducing, but this is a gorgeous home! Very large, comfy traditional. I didn't see a single thing wrong with it. Don't know how the price compares, but seems totally well-valued.
Yay, Daniel is back! I like his commentary as well. He brings an exciting energy and is the opener of all things with handles and doorknobs lol. It's more traditional than I usually like, but I love it and could see myself there. But I think the price is too high.
It’s too expensive but I think you and your son as a sellers agent together are awesome but no pool no hot tub small yard but these features on that small backyard make a big difference when closing points on selling a home do that house is way too much money you could buy a movie stars home in Malibu on the beach for that price🇺🇸✝️❤️🙏👍😇✨✨✨✨$$$$$$$😂😂😂
Daniel needs a permanent position!!! I really enjoy him running around the house giving his input. I get a lot out of what he notices in the homes and you habe raised a very charismatic young man!!!
Yeah…he’s my road dog. It’s fun looking at houses with him
Daniel needs to be on the payroll, if he isn't already. 😂
I could not find one thing wrong with this house - until you said the price! 😟
This home is GORGEOUS! This is a renovation done right. Has all of the modern conveniences of a new build with the space and charm of a classic. I genuinely have no idea why this hasn’t sold yet.
Hi Guys, it has to be the price, because that house is sweet ❤
Daniel immediately saying how "homey" it is, making himself comfy on the couch and picking out his room and closet! lol Jonathan... "and this would be our room", test driving the shower and saying, "I don't know why this home hasn't sold"! Next episode Jonathan telling us the house SOLD while dangling the keys from his hands! 😆😆😆
I believe it the price and lack of land. Most larger families want a back yard for children to play.
Right up my alley 😃👍🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️love it!!!!
you have 4 mill? give me a mill!
You funny😆 Lawd I wish🌟
This house is stunning and classic with just enough modern. Chevy Chase is a high end area but 4.7 is excessive. I can see people offering 3-3.5. I think the seller may be holding out for asking
I had the exact same thought- was thinking 3.5
It's definitely the price.
Hooray!!!! Daniel's back! Please get him a mic because we need to hear him clearly. You'll are doing a great job! ❤😊
The herringbone brick front walk and the herringbone wood floors and fire place got me.
I love it.
That's the most beautiful house out of all you have toured. $500 a square foot, maybe. $700+ for that postage stamp lot?? No way.
This house makes me think of the house I grew up in. I adore it. I fell in love the moment you said the words "cherry blossom tree." For me, it was the pocket doors, all the floors, the full basement, and the distinct living spaces. If I could afford it, I would purchase this home.
Those beautiful trees are an automatic game changer. They bring so much tranquility to area
Just love Daniel he always notices something we wouldn't normally pay attention to
That’s my dream house but even if I had the money, I wouldn’t pay that much. It’s about a $1.5M too high considering the comps in the area. They are requesting a significant upcharge based on it being new construction. There is a similar home with similar sq footage in the same area on the market for $2.5M. Shock by the $4.7million price tag!!🤔🤔 ...Beautiful home(nevertheless😍) that may stay on the market for awhile base off the price🤪🤪 Not many clients out looking for a $4+million dollar house
For 4 million you would have to set that house on a Hill for me.
Pricey, but it’s beautiful.
Daniel is so handsome he is a great assistant for you. I love the way he notices everything. Good job, Jonathan you done good training him right.
love the refrigerator. Looks like they got a refrigerator and a freezer and built them in to look like it's one. but I think it's actually two pieces. people dont realize, but it's actually cheaper to do it this way.
4mill, really? Needs a pool/spa/ outdoor kitchen and at least a paddle tennis court. 1-2mill is all it’s worth, that’s why it hasn’t sold.
4 Mill is crazy for this house
FYI, Miele is pronounced mee-lee. Beautiful home, reminds of some towns in Westchester, NY
I love this house! It has an overall warmth about it. Daniel has such a wonderful spirit about him!! Good job Jonathan and Mom!!!
Great home. The only features that would make this home more appealing would be a first floor bedroom with onsweet and a contemporary intercom system.
Absolutely beautiful home. Not sure about the price. I was thinking more in the 2 Million range.
I love this house. Now I wouldn’t want to pay that much but maybe that’s the cost on that neighborhood. For 4.3 there should be a pool and a decent sized yard and even more space between neighbors but for the upgrades and being in an established neighborhood I love it and if I had the money to blow I would definitely purchase this one.
beautiful house, beautiful finishes, and gut punch on the pre covid price. The comps in the area must be around 2 million for this house not to sell.
This is a renovation done right. Beautiful finishes from the herringbone entry floor to the individual control thermostats in each upper level room, etc.etc.etc. The only problem here is the price....not saying it's not worth it, it's simply out of reach for many these days.

Everyone is saying price; but if that is pricing in that area, I think it is worth it. If I had the money, it would be mine.

Great House. Neighbors too close. backyard too small. Comps probably making house too expensive. That bedroom above the owner's suite is a turnoff. Lower the price.
Theres nothing above the owners suite the stairs go up and then make a u turn, so that room is ontop of stairs and bathroom on 2nd floor
I think that floor layout in the foyer is called a chevron pattern (or maybe it's herringbone; it's hard to tell).
Herringbone
@@JonTheRealEstateGuy thanks for the info!
Love the home! Especially the built-in fridge and other appliances in the kitchen. So sleek.
Love the house and neighborhood. So far I cannot find anything major as to why it hasn't sold. These older homes have so much character and they were built to last. I'm guessing it must be the price.
I absolutely love this house, but the way my bank account is set up I can't afford it 😂😂😂.
Beautiful contemporary home nothing to replace, rebuild or gut...I think why it it has not sold is the asking price is way too much but it would be a comfortable family home to live in and leave to generations to live in
Love the house and Daniel’s commentary. I can’t find anything about it I would change. It may be the price that keeps it on the market.
This house is BEAUTIFUL 😍😍😍😍😍😍! They did not skimp on the upgrades. I think it’s the price but it will sell!!!
This is one of my favorite houses. There's a lot of painting for me to do before moving in because I really really don't like the white walls and white kitchen. Too much white gives off a COLD 🥶 feeling to me. If the house had a much larger yard then it could justify the high price listing.

Trust and believe it's the price

Yay your son is with you! I think that price is not too far off. I wonder what the comps are.

For me I would say the issues are
1) the yard next door to it.
2) The mess of power lines
3) busy traffic in the area
4) people are always driving in the area to find parking for places nearby

Great job Daniel!
The house is beautiful just don’t like being that close to neighbors the layout color everything is great
Gorgeous house. Lotta money to spend with all those other houses nearby.
Daniel is a big help, nice house.
Beautiful. Love the screen porch, the deck and level backyard. Kinda made me feel dizzy a little at the extention...feels a little maze ish
It is a beautiful house with very good finishes, but it is not a 4.7 mil house. The neighborhood is in a desirable area, but again, for the price asked there should be lots of outdoors living areas. Yay Daniel back. He always find the "Easter eggs"of the house.
I would pay every penny for this house it’s impeccable I love that area it’s not too big great for entertaining neutral color scheme ❤❤❤❤❤ (is it still for sale?)
Beautiful house 😊
This home was beautiful
What's actually eye pleasing the most with this house are the bathrooms. They all were the best focal points for me...the bathrooms were definitely upscale bathrooms.Sorry I'm a kitchen and bathroom person😜...those two rooms are "ALWAYS" the deal taker ,or breaker for me.
This is a beautiful house comp to van. BC it's worth the price.
Stagnant sale may be due to lack of privacy/?neighborhood
That's a nice home, probably a combination of price and small lot.
It's a beautiful home, but I would expect way more land at that price. It's also way too close to neighbors, in my opinion.
Good morning,
Thank you all SO MUCH for your commitment to posting homes, getting other's insights, and educational information in the DMV area.
I’ll definitely keep an eye on this one
This house is gorgeous!!!
DC homes the land isn't owned by the owner only the lot. It's a very nice house but the price is a bit steep.
Love it wish that icould afford it beautiful house
Absolutely beautiful!!! Classic Chevy Chase.
They did a phenomenal renovation🤩! I couldn't see where any corners cut...the home is beautiful.🥰 I suspected if they were asking something like 6M, that would be the reasons, but no. I don't live in MD so, I'm no expert on the neighborhood, but with the square footage, finishes and outdoor area...honestly the price seems fair, but I guess the comps don't lie.🤷🏽♀
idky people want soo much space.. I could not put stuff into it.. people are greedy... its insane..
No swimming pool or hot tub, no sauna and no outside play area so maybe 2.5 mil
Well, the camera work was seasick-inducing, but this is a gorgeous home! Very large, comfy traditional. I didn't see a single thing wrong with it. Don't know how the price compares, but seems totally well-valued.
Yay, Daniel is back! I like his commentary as well. He brings an exciting energy and is the opener of all things with handles and doorknobs lol. It's more traditional than I usually like, but I love it and could see myself there. But I think the price is too high.
Love this house 🤩
Hello, love this house just a bit pricey. Not enough yard. Too many other homes. Outside view is not that nice. Don’t like the copper roof.
Hi it is the price the house is Gorgeous.
Beautiful house👌
I love this!
Beautiful home, I wonder if the price is to high
I think it’s the price!! Nice house though. Are other houses appraised at that value?
😂😂😂😂 did you just said it's wet raining
