I've supported Rangers through glory and heartbreak. Man Utd are in nowhere near as bad a situation as other clubs have been. Entitlement is a horrible thing. You dont just switch when things are going badly!
But many of our fans are glory hunters that just cant take it lol.

The Entitlement is the key point! Man United fans have learned t doesn't over past decade, but they still have it. Liverpool are the worse ones, IMO based on my own conversations with their fans. Spurs are best example as they are one of the "Big Six" (a term that is bullshit, a different conversation for another time) with a fanbase who'd be happy to win anything. But then think of fans of every other club and what their fans wish/hope/pray to witness their club win in their lifetime! Some already become realistic with hopes of winning the championship or the biggest Payday in sports by winning the playoffs to be the 3rd team to be promoted into the PL.
I know that caller was just joking around, as we all know you never switch the club you support, but you can watch other teams play and be entertained by the way they play. Doesn't mean you become a fan of them. Any that do are not real fans anyway and no fanbase would want them supporting their club!!!
but utd are full of glory hunters, when 1992 happened with all the multi billionares money invested everyone jumped on their bandwagon and i remember the 70s and 80s when everyone just laughed at them
You dont change your club. NUFC have been close to glory a couple of times since i started going in 1990. But also were a couple of games away from the (then) 3rd Division. I never once thought of supporting anyone else and never would.
