  • Preparing for the deep snow to come by installing ski skins on the SWT. They are very easy to install with basic hand tools. Only took 30 minutes to do both even with filming the process for one of them. No idea why it took me a year to get them.. Slowly customizing the SWT to be a true deep snow working monster. Stay tuned for the other updates coming soon.

Just stumbled on your channel. Also just checked a 2023 900 expy with a 20” track. Curious if I should call them up and get these installed before next winter. Any thoughts on the tippyness of the 20” track version? I’ll do most of my riding off trail around the road system. Probably not as crazy as you out there in the bush tho lol. Any insight would be great! Thanks.

You'll definitely be less tippy on the 20", with skins on you'll be able to go anywhere. Only real advantage to the SWT is towing heavy sleds in deep snow. Even so a 900 WT can handle its own anywhere. Don't skimp, have the dealer install a full front skid plate, that'll also help with floatation and protection up front. Well worth the cost

Do they help prevent the tippyness of this sled? Any other tips to defeat that. I just got a 2022 and I find that especially in deep snow it wants to tip over way too much, and I'm spending way too much time shifting my weight to counter

They do help a lot! the single best upgrade to reduce tippyness, you could also change your ski stance by swapping the bushing on the ski bolt to the other side. It would give you another couple inches of width up front. Regardless, I still find myself having to shift lots, its a big machine with a mind of its own sometimes.

Once skins are installed can you still add either kimpex wheels or roule ski since the ski is so wide now…

Just ask for it from your skidoo dealer pretty sure they can get it for you....

What is the brand name of the skins?

They are OEM from BRP, contacted a ski-doo dealer in Fairbanks and they had them in stock.
