The Carlsbad office seems to cater to the greater San Diego area, so this will most likely be the place you will pick your car up if you ordered a Tesla in San Diego.

The back seats also slightly recline. You hold and press on the seat release in top of the seat and push back. They recline back about 4 inches. Good for road trips and car seats. I just took delivery end of June of the MYP. Love it.

I’ve own a model y for a year now and loving every minute. Zero maintenance for a year except tire rotation (25 dollars) at six thousand miles.

For Model Y Performance, you can’t rotate the tires because of different sizes between front and rare wheels. Unless you‘ll buy the 20“ wheel. The Gemini is not compatible to Model Y Performance, this is what my service center told when I picked up my car here in Monterey, CA. Only the 20“ wheel is compatible to MYP. However, I’m seeing some CZcamsr using Gemini wheels to their MYP? Maybe because the model of the unit is 2020 and 2021? I think? How about 2022? I wanted Gemini wheels for my MYP, so I can rotate them every 6,000 miles.
The part where you said that you don’t see CZcamsr’s talking about issues with other cars is 100% true. My husband works at a dealership so I’ve been fortunate to own multiple Mercedes, BMW and Tesla. They ALL have quality control issues!! Thank you for making it a point to say that. We currently have a BMW 530i and a Model 3. I’m trading my BMW for a MYP today 😄 Hope you’re enjoying your new Y!! 🙌🏼

I received my MY here in England on the 29 June. After all the nightmares (clearly in the past) one reads and watches on CZcams, it was a massive relief to find the car is near perfect. Very happy also with the handover experience.

I just took delivery of my S Plaid last month and have a 3 since 2017 and Y performance (Jan 2022) exactly like yours and taking delivery of my Plaid X next month. You will enjoy it for years to come! Excellent choice and you will never regret it.
Keep in mind that you will have different experience in different service center so always get a second opinion if you ever have an issue or question.

@@rosariorose9 Correct! It seems Tesla has been giving MYP order’s preference, we’re waiting on a regular MY, blue with white interior. Ordered on 02AUG2021, so almost one year now!
And the soonest estimate for the EDD is SEP2022, not too far away now.

Congratulations on making a smart choice buying a Tesla. There are so many Tesla haters out there, that when they make a choice to buy an EV they go with another brand, just to go against the tide. Which is fine, but the tech and infotainment is superior to other brands at this time in a Tesla. I bought my Model 3 in 2018, and with all the updates since than, it’s basically a totally different, and better car. Your car will keep evolving over time. I’d like to say, service has always been great and even better now with service centers open 24/7. Enjoy your new Tesla. 👍🏻😀

im glad they still include the mobile charger, when did you order yours? i took delivery of my MYP in June, the only thing i noticed with mine was the right taillight was raised a little, but over all Tesla has been good with their QC. Congrats on the new Tesla its a blast to drive.

Mine was delivered to my house and I did not see it until after got home from work and man it looks perfect to me I was surprised about the built quality.

Congrats on your new MYP. I have a late 2021 MYP and I love it. As a suggestion after you enjoy your car for a little while and get the instant torque out of your system, check into selling your tires and get some Michelin pilot all season tires and get them a little wider for the front and back and you will notice a much better ride. I put 295's in the back and 275's in the front. I kept the 35/21. Again enjoy your car with your family

Looks will always be subjective. Nothing beats the software, charging infrastructure, and Ev history over Tesla.

I have a Mercedes C63s Amg, with even more small “misalignments” in the front bumper, headlights area. Never notice it, till I read abt the Tesla reviews and compare it 😊
So tesla did not fix glove box and headlight? That’s worry me. I just got my delivery at home found out there big gap on door and front headlight not flush. Not sure if tesla gonna fix it

Getting our MY LR tomorrow to be delivered at my home! White on white induction wheels. Love your videos by the way! Does the J1172 connector come with the car or have to buy separately? I already have Chargepoint Level2 60A/220V at home currently using on my previous EV cars (Bolt, Leaf)
Yes the connector came with mine. But I would check as they have been changing mobile connectors with new deliveries.
@@TeslaoftheDay Thanks! It does come with it. Tested with our Chargepoint Flex at home today. It worked great! I also had to call Chargepoint to readjust my charger to 60A (had a 60A breaker when I got it installed 2 years ago) so I can charge at 48A.
How come you didn’t inspect the car before you paid/accepted it?
I do not think that’s the seal problem, The reason you need slam the door is because the striker doesn’t line up the the latch. And it’s adjustable, I fixed it myself.

How long did it take for you to get your MYP? Waiting for mine but hate how the date constantly moves up and then gets pushed back again. Hoping to get an idea on when you ordered yours to know if mine may be showing up soon like the app says today.

Bro, you can't go off what other people do on YT videos. I'm in Austin and had to go inside, my vehicle was delayed an hour and I didn't accept delivery in the app until after I inspected the car. I had minor scratches and their detailers buffed em out before I accepted delivery. Car looks awesome, I have the same color, enjoy

Yes it was. it would shift and shrink a little but for the most part very close

So I have never in my entire life ever looked at a car I purchased the way you just did and I've owned several new model cars of various makes and models, and because of all this CZcams chatter, fueled by biases and jealousies has made this an issue especially for Tesla.
So fast forward to 2018 when I ordered a Tesla Model 3 and I absolutely love it, so over the 4 years that I've been driving a Tesla I have had very little maintenance, so I'm very satisfied with it's overall performance, and not once have I ever floored the car, because it has so much power, it's simply not necessary in my opinion and I'm not trying to kill myself.
So when I took delivery it was actually at night, so I didn't have the benefit of daylight like you had there, and so there was little opportunity to see if there was a problem with all the things you had on that checklist and I had no checklist to go by, but I knew that if there was anything that I found wrong over the next day or so it would be covered, and one of the ways they got around not actually doing a test drive was to allow customers to keep the car for 2 days and if you didn't like it for whatever reason, just bring it back, and they would either take care of your concerns or you could just walk away from the deal no questions asked, and I thought that was an excellent way to close the deal, and they had a long line of people waiting to get their cars and remember that the plant in Austin wasn't built in 2018, and neither was the plant in Berlin Germany, so wait time was a huge issue back then.
So we all know that there's no such thing as a perfect car, and I think Tesla has done a good job of fixing those items related to their form and fit issues which impacts people’s perception of the overall quality of their product, and like you I found the next day some minor issues as I did not do this through a check as you did, because I was not giving this car back no matter what and I knew that they would make adjustments do any problems I found, so unless the wheels fell off this thing I wasn't going to walk away from the deal, I mean no way was I going to get back in line and wait to see if another car would be available in 6 months to a year.
So I purchased the Tesla Model 3 dual motor all wheel drive Long range battery pack, and I can't wait to tell you about how great FSD is because I have the latest version of FSD beta and Tesla is so close to closing the the loop to being the first to having a complete lineup of cars and trucks capable of driving themselves, and I'm talking about level 5 autonomy here.
So what are the other guys doing, and how will they be able to compete with Tesla when this is fully realized, some of them have already given up on the idea of ever achieving a fully autonomous capable driving car, and so left alone Tesla will continue to be the leader and not just in the EV space, but the leader of the entire automotive transportation industry to include light trucks and heavy duty semi truck too.
So Tesla has envision a future where no one drives their cars and that will usher in a new set of realities that the other guys will have to either embrace we'll get left behind and they will never be able to compete in a Tesla.
So if this is your first Tesla, welcome to the family and I can't wait to see you give us an update on how this car fits into your Family and in your lifestyle. Cheers🥂
Do you use booster seats in your MYP? Did you find out if any imprint of the booster seats on the leather seats? I always use some of the seat protection thing to put a layer between booster seat and the leather seat.
It does push the leather down. I’ll shoot some video about it.
@@TeslaoftheDay I have an odyssey with the OEM seat cover so it helps to prevent the leather gets sunk down much.

I got my MYP exactly four weeks ago and I got hit at my rear end last Tuesday by a Ford pickup car driving too fast in a slow traffic at Highway 101. I got dents and scratches of my rear bumper. Unfortunately the driver at-fault has no insurance and looking at the damages the Ford pickup frontal bumper was total wrecked while my MYP got dents and scratches. I was amazed how strong the structural frame of the MYP. I totally agree with the HS Safety Agency for giving a 5-star rating when it comes to safety on collision to Tesla Model Y. Now, I will use my own Insurance and I will sue the driver here in Monterey County California Superior Court. I got the Traffic Crash Report this afternoon at the CHP office and I will give the driver a lesson to revoke his license as much as possible I don’t want but I need to put everything to legality. 😞

Gotta love the "within spec" excuses! I guess they have you over a barell though? I'm sure that even in the US (I'm in the UK) you could reject the car, but then what? I'll hopefully be picking mine up within the next 8 weeks, I'm not sure I'll accept the "within spec" excuses for misaligned components.
Tesla Carlsbad is nice! I have to pick mine up on Tuesday at Tesla Irvine and it is beat. For a 78k vehicle, the folks at Tesla Irvine need to take a drive down the road to Fletcher Jones in NPB and see how you’re supposed to hand over a car!

Ya Tesla is just under a microscope. But all cars have fit and finish issues. People just don’t care to do the walk through and share about it like Tesla fans do.

I’m coming from a Honda Pilot and I’ll tell you it’s a smoother ride. I also have the performance which I hear has a stiffer suspension compared to LR. So I’ll need to drive a LR to really compare.

Tesla should have corrected those little issues after know from previous buyers because many buyer have already pointed out for being high class expensive vehicles.
