- The unpredictable British summer weather keeps us from harvesting, so we shift our focus to other essential tasks around the farm. From working in the workshop to get our older machines in top condition to discussing the promising oil seed rape market, there's never a dull moment on the farm.
We are also lucky enough to get a call from Cousin Michael as he completes a stock take on the chemicals all with Chris and Brook start work on James' new 96 meter Toy Shed for all the farm machinery!

2024 the year that just keeps giving! Only recently found your channel. I’m in ore of the lads and ladies who work for you’re well run organisation.. mighty impressive and a true family spirit. Look forward to harvest videos 🙂
What a fantastic company PX Farms is, I had no idea of the scale of the operation, and the boss man’s enthusiasm is next level. If I lived that way I’d be knocking on your door for a lorry driving position. I love how every aspect of the farm is so tidy I’m certainly impressed.
well done James to still manage a smile even with all the worries of such a large business, I have my fingers crossed for you and all farmers to get some good weather for harvest, the last thing we need is a late one to put the autumn work back.
3 girls! You’re seriously out numbered!! I I’m in the boat. 2, 12, 14. Hectic!
Much the same here in Ireland. Waiting for sunshine 🌞
Love your cheery laugh even when ending on a "bad Note"
What a cracking utube channel reminds me vividly of all the highs and lows of running a large estate. I’m quite sure you’re not a political man but if you and Harry Metcalfe sorted out this countries agriculture the country would be in a great position.😊
Loving the channel. Fingers crossed that the weather improves soon for you and all arable farmers.
James and Adrians humour 😊
New engine puts Dad's bathroom on hold 😄 Hope weather improves for us all very soon.
Thanks James really instresting as to what you would like to do on the farm to make life easier for everyone
Thank You James for another great video, hope the sun shines soon for you.
Pity about the Perkins , very good engines generally
Great video James. Same weather pattern here in South Wiltshire, 71mm so far in July!!!!!
Great videos watching in my chair in Grande Prairie,Alberta. Temp outside 34c!!! And not a cloud in the sky. We need your rain badly. Cheers guys.
That old Bedford lorry ! We had one when I was a lad for moving the potatoe bulkers in the yard and the straw trailers. 😊
Great videos James. Keep them up👍
Fairplay, even ending on a bad note you still manage a laugh, all the best for the harvest
great film nice to see framing been done the rightway no cutting corners to save money you have a good team of workers doing a great job hope you have better weather to carry on with with the harvest how many acres of crops do you grow
Enjoyed
Cracking video again nice to see your children have fun, you should get your wife on to tell us how she copes at harvest time as well? Keep, the good videos coming there very interesting 😊😊
I am sure your daughters will get involved in the farming operations as they get older, what an operation you have there and a great team of workers who you look after very well and amazing channel and company.
You have some serious equipment as well.
best farming channel on this platform, at least you dont waffle on about bloody beans!!
Can’t wait to watch some harvest content , great watch and to learn from your business .
Once again a top drawer video. 👌
What a great channel. We are about 5 weeks behind you on the harvest down here in Sussex. How many acres do you farm? You have a great set up and what a work force. Well done Sir. Great to see that your subscribers are good up.
Going up 😂
Great video. I I feel your frustration! Nothing worse than a wet July!
Love that old Bedford truck
I am really enjoying the videos! Thanks very much for taking the time to make them and good luck for harvest!
You have a very well run business and very organised one 👍👍
Great video again, can’t wait for you to start combining so I can pick some tips up off your operators 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Another great video, a farm that does everything right, looks after its people, keep the videos coming 👍
In farming the weather just effects everything and has a knock on effect as you say. And the bigger the operation the greater the effect. Great to see your on today via twitter.
Another great update James, it is so frustrating when you can't make a start do to the weather. Would like to say how well you care about your workforce, if a lot of people did the same they would find they return would be far more rewarding. Carry on with the updates .
U always put a smile on my face great content
Absolutely transfixed on this channel. Do you guys tend to have drone operators within the combine cabin for better visibility?
Kind regards
Ben
11 July. The sun is shining the birds are singing is this going to be the first day of harvest looking forward to the harvest videos all the Best with harvest 2024
Not a farmer but love the videos and i also Tom Pemberton + Olly Harrison hope things go all your ways for a gr8 harvest
Love these videos, what an impressive agri business😃
Rural crime , no community is immune , police forces are stretched and personally feel that the closure of many village and small town stations have created many opportunities for these mobile hungry eyed country thieves. Hope the weather improves and hope yield and quality dont suffer .good luck team P.X
Stupid weather…. We want combine action 😂 thanks for a great video 🎉
Interesting. Thanks.
I will be interested to hear your thoughts on what the new Government may do to help farming? I see in one of the early "announcements" that there was more emphasis on food security.
God bless Flynn 😍
I must say but this is a cracking set you have. The farm is amazing. Do you have any job’s available 😊
Great videos, what is the large superhero looking picture on your office wall?
Showed your video to my partner who knows about these things & she’s identified Matilda as a potential dancer! Perhaps Matilda might be persuaded to drive a tractor now & again though 😂
Anytime I watch stuff from the UK theft appears to be a major issue, is it a national pastime?
The Eneabba lad would get mega excited about 30mm of rain, that's an absolute downpour here in WA.
Finding your farming channel interesting ..the weather not helping daughter growing up any way best regards for the harvest fingers crossed
Don’t worry, I’ll bring my 8700 across when we’re done 😂😂😂 give you a leg up. 👌👌👌
That Bedford logistics wagon is it plated as an hgv or as an agricultural vehicle?
😊😊❤
Quick question, and this is specifically for OSR, why do you spray it off before harvest but you don’t spray any other crop off?
Cash flow is king in any business.
Just wondering where did you get the trusses from ? I looking at ordering some and local to you ?
Who do you use to test your soil.
A house full of girls ! I know the feeling, apart from a daughter and 2 girl grandchildren even the dogs and cats are all female. 😅😅.
I have 3 daughters neither of them want to go farming😢
Do you own rectory farm at coton it was sold back in the 70s
What happens if you forward sell, but your yield is less than expected?
We only tend to forward sell 40-50% of our expected crop to make sure we can fulfil the agreement
Hey guys, yip govt and weather. PX for prime minister.
Interesting with the break ins, cut locks etc, mindless vandalism, our New diesel thieves have started leaving all the caps off which is a worry with rain over night. We have an indigenous group who just steal and do no good.
That dog of yours has peed in the mustard...just got a new jar and it smells of wee...keep him.out of the shed
