WayV doesn't have NCT in their name because of political restrictions that China has with kpop entertainment. Before 2020, WayV marketing was also done separately because of these restrictions as well. Originally they were supposed to he called NCT Vision.
Also all the units have a different fandom name. It's just that WayV uses theirs more😊
