  • This traditional cobb salad recipe is loaded with mixed leafy greens, vegetables, cooked chicken breasts, crisp bacon, and blue cheese for the perfect tasty meal!
Cobb salad was created by Brown Derby restaurant owner Bob Cobb during the 1930s in Hollywood, California. There isn’t anything that makes a cobb salad a cobb salad outside of following the traditional ingredients used, which is exactly what I did in this recipe. Rumor has it Bob was hungry one night and just started pulling stuff out of the refrigerator wallah, the cobb salad was born.
    Ingredients for this recipe:
    • 1 head of romaine lettuce, cut into 1” pieces
    • 1 head of chicory, cut into 1” pieces
    • 1 ounce of watercress
    • 1 pound of sliced cherry tomatoes
    • 1 peeled, seeded, and large diced avocado
    • 10 ounces crisp cooked bacon, chopped
    • 1 pound cooked and large diced chicken breast
    • 4 shelled and quartered hard-boiled eggs
    • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
    • Cobb salad dressing
    Serves 6
    Prep Time: 10
    Cook Time: 25 minutes
    Procedures:
    1. Wash the lettuces thoroughly and remove as much water as possible.
    2. Combine the lettuces in a bowl and mix until combined.
    3. Next, later on as followed: tomatoes, avocado, bacon, chicken breasts, hard-boiled eggs, and blue cheese dressing.
    4. Serve alongside cobb salad dressing
    Chef Notes:
Make-Ahead: This is salad is meant to be eaten right away, however, if you keep the ingredients separated after they are prepared you can make this 1 day ahead of time.
How to Store: Keep covered and un-dressed for up to 3 days. If you can keep all of the ingredients separated and covered it will hold for up to 6 days in the refrigerator.
If you have a salad spinner, that would be best when preparing the greens.
Other dressings that will work in the salad are balsamic vinaigrette and ranch.

Perfection again. The dressing was delicious. I followed the hard boiled egg instruction video and my egg was perfect. I was too lazy to pull out the blender so I chopped the garlic and mixed the dressing in a jar. It was delicious. Home run again Chef!!!

FYI strain your bacon grease thru a coffee filter. This will help your bacon grease last longer than you will! Well maybe not that long lol. Salad looks great!

I bake bacon in a foil boat on a tray, doesn't stick that much, and keeps your tray spotless.

Great recipe, but for the salad dressing what is the second oil mentioned at 1:24 I cannot make out what is said. Sounds like salf-lour oil?? Maybe sunflower oil??

Doesn't the avocado turn Brown? What if you're going to a party later in the day and you need to make this salad earlier?

Turn to Jesus people he died for your sins, Repent of what the New Testament describes as sin. Believe the gospel obey the teachings of Jesus documented in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Jesus is the only way to be saved, be baptized if you have faith in Jesus then you will live life with him as your example. If you need prayer i'll pray for you. If you want to keep contact with a brother in Christ i’ll keep contact with you. The love of God is beyond our understanding. God bless

Sugar in the sauce? Terrible advice! Disgusting *but very normal for the American supermarket palate. In Europe nobody puts sugar in food...

Don’t put in any sugar or plant seed oil (other then olive, avocado or coconut oil) it’s not good for you.
