The log cabin was my Uncle Camille's. Seeing it again was awesome but sad to see in such disrepair. I'm actually shocked that it is still standing. My 2 sisters, parents, and Camille's daughter and son in law and their 3 daughters stayed there for a visit back in the 80's. I was the oldest and babysat all 5 kids while our parents were in Canada at one of the bars, lol. I remember a large rodent ran across the back room where the bunk type beds were. It scared the bejesus out of us. I also vividly remember the outhouse with only 3 walls off the back room. Great memories! Thank you! Jennifer Sanborn, Maine
Just browsing/surfing the web .can't believe your knowledge and courage.Hope u both check for ticks.where good support boot, check boot for nails. Sad that when anybody ages,if noone willing or available to pack up for our love ones, the stuff just really remains. I got to see history of my family in Ireland very historic/incredible.
I love the old abandoned structures you find in the woods up there. There is a barn that we used to explore as kids when we were up there in the summer.
Great to see something of the life of your hero Cory. How sad that the way of life - or maybe just the place - is abandoned. A decaying memorial to a man and a way of life perhaps but so glad you have carved out a more contemporary way of living with and in the wilderness. Thanks for the tour.
Discovering Camille's guide license was the icing on the cake! Ive wondered what the area near the border looked like in Maine. Now i know! Its beautiful. Take Care Cory And Gracie 🌲🌲📹🐕🚶♂️👏👏👏👏
Great little road trip that you and Gracie we're on. Real bonus you telling us the history. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this interesting property.
Excellent excursion Cory! The logs on the one place have held up quite nice. You’re a good guy helping folks out checking on properties for them. The first house is holding up nicely, the old basement really is cool. Take care!
Great video! Exploring old abandoned structures is very interesting. I didn't realize how close to the border that your property is to Canada. Peace Love Happiness
We took a ride out to Camille's cabin about 10 years during deer season. It's a shame, looks like some jerks ransacked it. The old collapsed structures on the left side of the road, the one on the right toward Lac-Frontiere , you could make out the words "Forest Warden" on the front of it.
A few years back, there was a group of backcountry snowmobilers using the house. That's likely why it's in somewhat decent shape and has so many beds set up.
Howdy Cory- that’s really cool to get to explore those old buildings. It’s amazing how the wilderness takes back what is abandoned. Take care and God bless
That was fun! The house was pretty cool, I like the stairs. Sure were a lot of beds, reminded me of an old hunting camp type lodge. The log house structure, some of the actual logs looked in pretty good condition.
I used to find so many abandon places fossil hunting in the southwest and Midwest . Crazy how many places to abandoned like this with such a housing crisis.
Wow. Chasing history down in the north maine woods. Great field trip! Who's polishing the turd while you're out galavanting.........??!! Glad to see you taking in a diversion. 🫵🏼👊🏼👍🏼🤙🏼
First off, I think you do a great job editing. I own an a6300 also, a great little camera; I am very impressed that you get the AF to behave so well. I run into issues with the camera focusing on larger items in the field of view; but I’m shooting much smaller and closer. I imagine it’s not that far away from getting really chilly at night, does it become impassable after a certain date?
Was a cool video of exploring, but wished you had of gone a little slower and not so jumpy when in the buildings. Hard to really take the insides of buildings in when you’re panning around so fast.

The stories contained within those walls…..seeing past the overgrowth, decay and litter….quite inspiring, if one thinks about it.

Dang, that's a nice piece of property! Sooo much potential, way up there!
Camille was a heck of a guy. He used to let my Dad and his gang stay in his trapper cabins to deer hunt starting in the late 1940's, thru the 1950's.
Hey Cory lots of history there, to bad it wasnt kept up. Nature is reclaiming the land slowly but surely. Take care.
Spent many nights in that old house. Love going to that place

All things must pass, but it's still hard to see these places go.
So much history there.

As someone from Mass who’s only been as far up as Baxter State Park I need to travel even further north in Maine.
Wow Corey!!! How do you not get creeped out? I’d never go out to the woods on my own. Thanks for sharing you and Gracie rock ❤
That’s why I bring Gracie

I stayed there a few years ago in the winter with a group of guys.
Nice, how was that?
@@TheMaineWoods It was a good time. maybe 12 guys we rode all around that area.
would be so cool if you could buy this.....imagine the restoration and all the history...I wonder how many acres...
The plastic milk crate in last dwelling said Lehigh Valley. That is from eastern Pennsylvania dairy.
I am wondering if there are plans to try to restore it? It is a gorgeouse property❤
I would love to live there

My wife and I love it !

Are u goingvto rebuild there?
Is this property still for sale
Is this now preservation land, or able to be bought?
No
Grace needs little hiking boots to protect her feet from getting cut!
😂
Yes,where are the previous inhabitants gone?
Lots of junk in those old buildings!
Yup
Do you know if interested in selling it?
No
Looks like a hunting camp
Try to buy it
Thank you Cory, but for future videos, please don’t move the camera so fast, please. Gives a headache.
Was a cool video of exploring, but wished you had of gone a little slower and not so jumpy when in the buildings. Hard to really take the insides of buildings in when you’re panning around so fast.
Is the area haunted?
No
@@TheMaineWoods you think other would be but that's ok
Need to get a bushwhacked in there.
Привет с Украины.что ето за страна?Природа красивая как у нас.Лайк и подписка
Are you just superstitious or was something else going on? You seemed ready to get the f out of that house 🤣
Not at all
I've watched lots of your videos, but I never noticed that you don't have any earlobes! Are you part vulcan?
Where are all the people that lived or vacationed there did they just abandon??
OMG it’s beautiful, When can I move in?
