If you weren't a real fan of Juice Crew, you ain't an real hip-hop OG
RIP Biz Markie April 8 1964 - July 16 2021
Man Oh Man!... I use to buy everything that Marley Produced, as soon as I saw the ColdChilling label.. I had to have it. Juice Crew So Funky
Cold chillin was that label. That art work with the big ass warner bro logo in the middle was sick.
Just wished they released more crew records like this and Juice Crew Allstars....we all know the Symphony is the all time classic!!
Only1KevG best down the line record ever.......G rap killed it
It’s truly amazing never let out some more of these joints perhaps like some off takes or something like that...
This was a freestyle, on air
Who remembers Juice Crew Christmas?
Kane Killed It! King Asiatic Nobody's Equal!
Kane went hard on this one!! Always knew how to put lyrics and flows together... He always seemed to sound a head of his time! Tragedy got busy too..Shan got that juice Crew, Golden voice!
Shan killed it too!
MC shan is nice king of hip hop
NOW THAT'S FUNNY
Very funny.
I'll take Shan over Craig G anyday. Craig G is a fresh for the 80s battle rapper though
This video needs more than 8000 views!!! Sheeess!!!! This music is timeless!!
Kane went hard like always
MC Shan was nice wit' that mic device as well. I always wondered did Shan go 2 college.. 'cause he had quite the vocabulary !
Yoooooo, my twin brother Gaston and I ALWAYS talked about Shan’s vocabulary!!!! Especially “I Pioneered This” for starters. He’s our favorite MC of all time.
- WiseGuy & Gaston
These was the years of Hip Hop at its best to my old self I was in 9th grade guess polo three finger ring ..
shan spit that never rock a party at the end, that song is so ill yell
I wish Shan spit a verse on the Symphony. This shows that he would have held his own with Kane and Kool G. Rap.
The story goes that he was supposed to be in the record but he let ACE bless it since he was the newest guy on the team
Yes it was the same lyrics, I know MC Shan regrets to this day that he wasn't on one of the biggest rap classic ever done the SYMPHONY
I never ever, ever heard this one, before... and Marley used to play some shit on the mrmagic show way in the days this must be archived ...
It's on the intelligent hoodlum album re release
But no Shan verse.
@@germxv cheers for that :)
Kane was the GOAT...
Kane destroyed it as usual!!!
Got to give it to biz too he was pretty good off the top i think kane kinda made him better in that department since he helped him write a lot of songs in that era.
Thanks for likin' my comment!!
Thanks! King Asiatic Nobodys Equal
Damn Kane!! Chill 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
Born universe truth truth equality rule
Kane was freestyling some of that.
Kane bodied it!!!
Truly a buried treasure right here!

I have this on cassette. This a live freestyle from Tim Westwood's Capital Rap Show in London.
...and there's bits missing. Shante was on this if I remember right. And Shan said he was gonna put on an Old English accent before he started rhyming this part 05:08
Was there another verse following Kane where it ended? all it needed was Kool G Rap
I can't remember. It's been years since I heard this. I converted it to .mp3 years ago and posted a link up it up on Old School Hip Hop.com forum.
Listening to this again you may be right, this may be a track and not the freestyle I heard perform on the radio. It sounds very similar, but too much is different. For instance, Shan put on an English accent when he rapped his part, but he doesn't do that here. Plus, there's bits of random talking not on this.
Yeah this i recorded from Westwoods show when Marley Marl (you can hear talking) & Pete Rock were guests back in 1999. I figured this is an unreleased track or a freestyle he had a recording off back in the day from his In Control Radio Show that he brought with him, as he played a mix of Juice Crew classics.
It's been years, @Black Body Radiation. I don't remember what disc or old hard drive I put it on.
real hip hop tuff

Love how kool g was just loitering when marley was about to record the symphony. Marley is like. Ya doin anything cool g. G was like mom is out with her .357 debt collectin. Dads still runnin the dice game ..3 says he ain't slept . Me..well I'm runnin the entire block right now..but sure I'll fill cause sumone didn't turn up .only got a few minutes though. Strangling someone. Should take 8 minutes. Walks in..lays down 6 or 7 minutes..got to go by..Marley was like..told ya to shut up after 3 minutes. Now got to delete half. Kool G threw the dead guy at him. Delete him too please..that was fun..BANG BANG BANG...no not cunstubble corrots..wait..yep..her n his momz were dancin or some shittt..ya know
oh my god only if roxanne shante was on here!
To be honest Kool G Rap would be even better just like the verse he kicked on the uncut version of Raw, even BDK couldn't match him back when he was on top of his game czcams.com/video/vyuVlY1QkJU/video.html
Tragedy is tragic
DOPE👏👏👏😁👊
Man where Shanta at dammit
You have to listen to this is hip hop Shante Kane shan
Is their an instrumental to this?
Gotta be 1989, not '99.....
Yeah but this is when I heard Marley Marl play it on Westwoods show
Eric Allen Jett 87 when prism was before cold chillin
86 or even 87...
That rhyme style from Kane is pre 88...
That beat is pure Marley marl...
Dude help to define Hip-hop's golden age...
Best ever beat maker...
Then Primo...(premiere from gangstarr)...
Yall can have the rest...
yeah u only got to hear Tragedy's voice on this to know it's late 80s - he still sounds the same as he did when he was in The Superkids. Name dropping Fly Ty. So good.
🙌BDK🙌
Wheres the rest of it ?
listening to this you can see how rakim was way ahead of his time kane was still saying it's like this yall lmfao. all these dudes bit lines from rakim on their records
Stop not true!! Kane from Brooklyn! Rakim from Wyandanch LI! Of anything Rakim copy dudes from the 5 boroughs!
@@rich1223 you trippin' off Yo ass with that last comment. Rakim sounded like no one & I mean NO ONE when he came on the scene!!!
Instrumental
that cant be recorded in 1999 !!! it must be 1989 !!! i think so !!!
It would have been made in 1988 as its known as the 'In Control Radio Freestyle', probably made to promote Marley Marl's album at the time. However i only got to hear it in 1999 when Marley Marl & Pete Rock were guests on Tim Westwood's show when he played this track. In 2007 it was released as a shorter edited mix on the Intelligent Hoodlum / Tragedy comp album (2007) www.discogs.com/release/1635210-Intelligent-Hoodlum-Intelligent-Hoodlum-Tragedy-Saga-Of-A-Hoodlum
@@BionicRasta the word flow and speial the beat are so 1988 to 1989 °°°!! kane voice is not real growing like he has on the 1990 album , so i think it must be from the 89 era !!
Weird ass synthetic Substitution chop...
1999? It sounds more like 1989.
It probably is but 1999 is the time when Marley Marl was a guest on Westwoods show & played it. He must have either played an acetate or had it on a cd.
1987
Sounds like a wack demo!
Kool G rap it's a demo then 😂😂😂
I love Kane but M.c shan killed it 😂😂😂😂
