I don't talk a lot but when I do I always give you the upmost respect because it is something that you damn well deserve to hear from the viewers and let me tell you brother that was a cold start this morning I don't have any diesel in my fleet of one personal truck LOL I love you brother I'm glad I could make you smile today
Never complaining again you already know I run a small home improvement company mostly Roofing I love doing my tree work but that's only three years old you are 1000 times more patient of a man than I will ever be in my lifetime..... Plus the size of the note that was trying to be started that's a pretty big number my friend
Good vidja Wade! We raise and lower the blade to help the hydraulic oil bypass, no need to reef on the steering wheel. We also run jumper cables directly to the starter to give it a boost.
I can't imagine getting all those machines going on a -20f day. I've got one machine to get started and sometimes I have to heat it with the salamander. That's enough pain in the ass for me. Lol. Thanks for the video Mr Wade. You probably don't get too many-20f there in the south. Loo
Up north, here we circulate the warm engine coolant thru the cold skidder block, with heater hoses and quick couplers. After running the pickup at medium idle for about 10 minuets, U can start rite up even at 30 below. Whats more of a problem the winch and shifter control cables freeze in those temps. But good southern Indy cold starts, A
whats the deal with wigging out on the steering wheel dose it relive hydraulic pressure or something great video Wad e thanks have a great day be safe.
Honest Truth Farms I use to have an Iron Mule 5050 Forwarder with a 4 cylinder Ford turbo and a Clark powershift transmission. Not only was it hard to start the shift cables would freeze. We did leave it running a few times just so we didn’t lose so many hours getting it going.
hey boys leave the blade up when you shut it off at nite , then let the blade down when cold starting works better than steering wheel masturbation lol !!!! although i here stevy 's a master bater !!!
Alot of people are going to be confused they see the guy in the seat trying to tear the stearing wheel off... Lmao... John Deere ya gotta love em but crap I get sick of that in the winter starting my ole tractors... And its just the Deere's I own... 18 other tractors I have just give it some crack turn the key and boom...
You gotta use more CHOKE on those diesels tater!!.HAHAHAHAHA!!. Makes alot more black sludgy smoke!!.HAHAHA!!.(no such thing, but good for laughs) Seriously though Wade, diesels are a raw pain in ASS the colder it gets, just sucks the pure life out of your batteries, plus spending money on ether. In sub-zero temps.,the diesel fuel turns into pudding unless treated properly.Things can get pricy in a hurry with diesels.
SteffenRecords Keeps the hydraulic pump from building pressure, so the engine cranks faster. You really only need to hold pressure against the wheel, but I guess having a seizure on it works too 😂
Next time you do a cold start you'll have to explain to those who don't know what all the wheel jerking is about. I actually know what's happening from working at a John Deere dealership years ago but it is goofy looking. LOL!
That starter fluid will slap f*ck a diesel engine up . I replaced two because of it . Gas rag wont mess it up . I use a propane forced air heater now . Heat the fuel pump up takes less than 5 min they fire right up no starting fuid or gas rag
The look on rogies face on Irma’s first try was priceless🤣🤣
Just got to love winter ! I'm over it ! Be safe , Joe

Haha if you own a John Deere it does not take long to figure out the John Deere shuffle when starting in cold weather.
I thought he was doing something different in there...
John deer shuffle lol. what is it, relieves the pressure on the hydraulics or something to allow it to crank?

I’m grumpy when it’s that cold too.

Did you notice how warm 10* felt after -44* .
My 648g2 skidder starts good with either and squeezin grapple at same time great 🎥
Your videos are really great. It's just sometimes I can't understand what you're saying. Is it possible did you add subtitles

a old neighbor of mine use to do that with his equipment
Man cold weather is rough on a starter. All my junk is this hard to crank year round. Haha
Love it.
Good video Wade y'all have a good day hope you all have a good week next week and stay safe
Nice gotta love cold starts
10 out 10 real cold starts. Try to start a Detroit diesel engine in the cold weather LOL. HAVE a safe and great day.
Nice job Wade and crew! Just curious why you're waiting until daylight to start them...😂.
David Haley we logging 2 hours away from the mill
@@LoggerWade I kinda figured that but still thought I would poke the bear... Lol. That's a lot of commute time.
@@LoggerWade those diesel tree machines won’t start in that cold weather
Now that's some cold starts
The either bunny was busy for ya!
TATER WHEN I LOGGED I ALWAYS USED QUICK COUPLERS OFF MY PICKUPS. AFTER 20 MINUTES EVEN HAD WARM HEAT BLOWING INTO HE CAB. NO EITHER. EITHER KILLS..
whats the story on all the wild steering wheel action?
whats the deal with wigging out on the steering wheel dose it relive hydraulic pressure or something great video Wad e thanks have a great day be safe.
Yes, that exactly. It’s a deere thing
What's the shuffle do? How does it help?
What’s all the steering wheel action about??
Between you an the other loggers i want to know what brand ether yens use so i can invest in that stock in these cold month's 😂
Pro heater Wade pro heater set the timer before you leave the woods come the next morning everything is warm and no Deisle crack haha
Gettin some exercise in lol hope warms for ya a little awoke to 3 inches of dandruff 4 more tomorrow
Hey wade question for you? What’s with shaking the skidder steering wheel back and fourth when starting
Chad Isett I’ll talk about it on tonight’s live feed

Cold start is good
That cutter needs new batteries!!
Yo ever thought about a 640l
That was a big ole bunch of cold be atches started up.
what is he shaking and what does it do
Nothin runs like a deere
Ah the ether bunny 🐰
Do any of your machines have ready heat I think it's called
michael bligh naa it’s not enough of an issue here
That's true the pro heat is nice in Michigan
why are you shaking the skidders?? does it help
They run a closed center hydraulic system just a hill billy way of draining the pressure for the starter to whirle
Dont worry my ole 7520 Waterloo boy is addicted to starting fluid when it’s 50 above even haha
Why do you shake the steering when cranking? Relieve hyd pressure maybe? I’m a dirt guy not a logger lol.
Jeremiah Sargent yeah
Why you got the work "CAT" covered up on you loader?????
It was because of the history channel
Them rigs need cold weather shutoff
Just fill them up with fuel at night and let them run! Lol
Boy I'd like to put pre heaters on all that equipment. Good job however.
Can you put preheaters in lobster boat?
I was just about froze up this morning
@@joshwelner1951 yep

If you pay attention he wasn't talking about the truck. The air compressor on it was running but cut off
0:38 what is This für a engine!!
What the heck is with shaking the stearing wheel back and forth like that?
SteffenRecords Keeps the hydraulic pump from building pressure, so the engine cranks faster. You really only need to hold pressure against the wheel, but I guess having a seizure on it works too 😂
Oh thats a cool trick thanks for the info man

What's up with the steering wheel cranking???
Relieves oil pressure these are close centered variable displacement hydraulics
Wade starting fluid for Diesel engines is like Moonshine to humans
Starting fluid is the worst thing you can do to a diesel
It’s equated to crack. You never go back. It also ruins the engines so it’s not recommended.
@@FishFind3000 if you need to use it use brake cleaner. Its not as volatile. Either that or propane
AOC and the green new deal supports got their drawers in knot if they see this video haha
