Ended up buying a pair of Zeus' after seeing many reviews and impressions. I really like them. I EQ them with a slightly modified response based on Resolve's EQ rec. They are very smooth, wide, and enjoyable. I can basically listen to them all day and they never get too uncomfortable. Pleasure craft is a pretty fitting description.

Yeah the updated cable is really just great. Its 4.4 pentaconn, no tangle, and they're actual listening to the community

Yeah, the new cables are great, love them. I mean they have a DYI feel to them and obviously use inferior quality materials, but they’re so different from what’s usual from headphone manufacturers. I love them.

Listening to my Tor Roger right now. The CZcams computer generated subtitles are truly hilarious. I can recommend old Mullard rectifier EZ35 and new PSVane 6SN7 blue bulb valves. Sounds sensational...

Very nice headphones highly recommend them. Pleasure craft is a perfect description of them. I used them as my daily driver for probably a yearish. I just got the 58x so I've been swapping with that but the Zeus is a very nice headphone if it sounds like your type of headphone go for it.
I bought the Harmonicdyne Helios months back. Worth every single penny. I can only imagine how awesome this Zeus model sounds. If they use the same pads as the Helios, comfort is a 10/10.

Curse you Zeos! You got me into "purchase mode" with your Gold Planar GL2000 review. I pre-ordered them, but the the April ship date gave me too much time to continue to research...blood in the water and all. I picked up and modded the Koss 30iK's to tide me over.
Now I've fallen down the sound demo hole. I have to admit, I was skeptical of value of sound demos listened to over your own equipment, but it really does highlight the differences! After going through many of the most notable ones, I'm checking out your Zeus review. For me, they have the sound signature I like. I wasn't really sure what that was, until I checked out the demos. Going in, I would've guessed warm or V-shaped, but was surprised that I went for demos that also had midrange as well.
I guess I should thank you, rather than curse. You've already saved me $150. I could probably save another $150, if I really wanted to compromise a little and decide between the Helios and X2HR's, but $350 isn't too bad. BTW, from reviews, looks and engineering standpoint, I'd put the Meze Empyrean's
on top of my God Tier list. Yet, after listening to the demo, felt they were lacking in the upper range and have switched them with the Diana Phi's. At least with them I could leave my house vs. the 1266's, lol.
These headphones belong in an Indiana Jones movie. As a key to open multiple doors in multiple ways. And to read/decipher maps.

Just getting into the audio world. I wasn't sure if this was a smart decision for a second set of headphones. Haven't had too much time with them, however they have not disappointed me so far.
Just be careful cuz these videos will make you want to buy every pair that comes out.

I have been goin down the rabbit hole with all this headphone business for awhile and since i began the descent i have bought the shp9500 with a vmoda mic as my first headphone to replace a sennheiser gsp 500, then after some zeos videos watchin i got me a phillips h2hr, then got 2nd handed a hd598 that cost me 50 dolllars in excelent condition, then i had to buy some closed back headphones cause i was waking up the baby in the middle of the night, so i bought the m40 from audio tecnica, calmed down for a bit but felt that i was in the need to try out some beyerdynamic headphones so i bought the tygr300r, and finally this video came out, bought myself the HarmoniDyne Zeus, listened to them,and now, i feel like i found my sound signature that i was looking for and besides having all the headphones in a display just for looks i feel like i might sell them all and just keep the Zeus.

Need to do a colab and release the Zeos, with amazing pads, cable, and a box with an extra busty waifu on it.
I just bought XLR cables for these headphones, to go with modius magnius stack and snake oil adapter, Have been running them with stock cable and just magnius amp, no dac. With Mayflower Arc, The Mayflower Arc gets louder or more power then just magnius amp, When modius dac shows up with XLR cables and snakeoil adapter, will see if I just wasted a bunch of money.... At least I will have a SCHIIT stack....
Which splitter is that and how do you have it set up to just switch between amps?

Knew these things would be good, youve been wearing them in vids for weeks
Just got mine today.....These are soooooo good. Worth the $350. Best under $500 without a doubt. Do not hesitate to buy these....theeeeese. Do it and dont look back. Jesus these are good. Bass, soundstage. separation, clarity, ect ect. Zeos got this one right. Go look at other reviews if you are hesitant. All say these are punching way above their cost. I agree.
Zeos, how is this compared to the Meze 99 Classics as far as a "Sunday morning, coffee sipping on your couch" kind of a headphone?

I think zeos is the only person who likes the x3 over the x2hr, the most common opinion of the x3 is Philips made an x2 sound like a beyer and forgot why people liked the x2. So the real question is how do these compare to the x2hr at close to double their current price?
I haven't heard them, but I think people would be a lot happier if they forget the fact that it is a x2hr successor and just treat it like a pair of headphones from a new brand

Doubt i'll get a response here seeing the age of the vid. But my earcups stain my head ears/side of head purple... Its really damn annoying having to rub my skin raw to get the stains off. Can i get other earcups somewhere?

I was thinking of getting HD 660s for my next headphones, but these are cheaper. Do you think the 660s are worth the extra $150. Is there a noticeable jump in sound quality from these to 660s?

It appears that the Beyerdynamic DT pads, would be compatible with the Harmonicdyne headphones. Measure out the same. Up vote if you would like to see Zeos confirm this and pad roll this headphone.

Hi Zeos I ordered a pair of Harmonicdyne Zeus from your link from Linsoul they were on sale but my headset I got came with a different wire. Do you know if Linsoul changes wires alot. Also these feel very light and comfortable on my head thank you for the recommendation.

@@joshualee6932 I enjoy the sound a lot. They're fun but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired and the metal etchings are a little sharp.

Against Zeos' wishes, of questioning the Zeus' stock pads, I have begun earpad rolling this headphone (Beyerdynamic DT pads work with this headphone). Dekoni Just had a B-stock sale for Beyerdynamic DT pads, so I purchased three pairs. I got the CHOICE LEATHER (Boomy/bloated bass that overwhelms the mids and highs [EWW]), ELITE HYBRID (nice tight, boosted bass with improved clarity over stock pads [Bass Head]), and the ELITE FENESTRATED (reduced mid and upper bass, but tighter, with airier treble and wider soundstage [Neutral/Balanced]). All three Dekoni pads removed the mids veil, pulling the sing closer to you, but reveling details that were previously hidden, with the stock pads. This same tuning effect can also be achieved with the stock pads, using Resolves' EQ settings that he provides. The stock pads are more comfortable than the Dekoni pads, but that isn't to say that the Dekoni pads are uncomfortable, it's just that the stock pads are that comfortable.
Would love to see Zeos break out his extensive collection of earpads and have an excuse to get these headphones back out and have some more fun with them.

Nah, 64 ohm is pretty low. You could benefit a bit from having an amp, but it's really not necessary. You start seing bigger improvements on 250+ ohm headphones.
SPL is more accurate for power needs; most Planar's aren't super high ohms, but they're SPL is like... 75db/mw. 🥴
I feel like ohms almost measure how much power any given can take before distorting.

I actually found a pair of these at Goodwill......for 80$ yup I sure as hell bought them. I will say, they are hella heavy like way heavier then a headphone should be, and the clamp force is way to much personally. I will say outside of these headphones I am a base cannon kinda guy so these did slightly under deliver but for 80$ they good.

So I am new to Amps and Headphones such as these. I was thinking about getting the Airpod Max but they do not seem to be much of an improvement over the 1000xm3 that I currently have. Would these be a good starter? I am thinking I can get an L30 or A50s and a pair of these for the cost of the Airpods Max. Thanks for the help.
If you don't have infinite money I should suggest not going with apple products as they can be nice but the cost/performance is always bad. If you want a good Openback there's a lot to look into. I would recommend looking into t50rp or t60rp and getting a good amp, argons are good too.

These Zeus headphones look really good. Any other headphones I know that are good are v Moda m100, these are closed backs heavy bass headphones made for DJ. Any other suggestions anyone?

Classical absolutely, as for heavy metal I think it depends on how heavy you wonna go but I can say that The Black Album by Metallica played very well on these.
So Z doesn't like it when it's stiff... got it.

@@joshualee6932 Well, it ended up being my dedicated tv/movie headphones. It's fed by a Topping MX3, which I find to be on the neutral to cool side, so it works out fine. The cans are on the warmer side of reproduction which lends itself to a nice rumble, but I find it does trip a little bit on itself when it gets overloaded or busy, as opposed to a planar set.
They're also on the warmer side of temperature when wearing them, and that's from someone who games with Sundaras for hours.

I own the Zeus now. The cable is indeed the worst, not only stiff as aluminium but also noisy. Apart from that this headphone gives me headache, I hope it's my brain adjusting to the new levels of detail coming from a Sony XM2.
