I genuinely feel a bit bad for people who don't understand or care for the journey Yorke/Greenwood have been taking us on for 30 years. This music has no parallel.

One of the prettiest tracks involving Thom Yorke in years with any band. As soulful and silky and sexy as anything he's ever created. God those synths meets those deep fractal chorals meeting those flutes, and that deep subtle rhythm section below it all. Almost Caribbean/Reggae, 70's Soul, and Free Jazz all colliding in a dark beautiful world.

@@jillsandwich4862Oh man thanks for the reminder- I haven’t listened to that in years. My PJ Harvey phase fizzled out after high school but will any of us ever get tired of Thom’s voice?
In their mid-50's now, it's amazing how it seems Yorke and Greenwood haven't even peaked yet as artists. One gets the feeling they will keep on making gorgeous music, and enjoying every moment of it, until advanced old age takes them away from us.
i hope we can get another 10 years out of them
I lost my dad in September 2022 and I've barely listed to music since then, not as much as I used to. This album made me full-on fall in love with music again. I'm crying to this song everytime I hear it, this is the most beautiful song I've heard in years and obviously my favorite on the album. I am crying right now. If he was still alive, I would have played this for him on his speakers. And then on his Bose headphones. And maybe take him to your concert in AFAS, even though he did not like big crowds. He would have LOVED Wall of Eyes. Thank you so much, Thom, Jonny, Tom and Sam. ♥
Sorry about your dad. I love my dad too

I'm actually going to the concert, alone. But of course he will be listening with me ♥

Where are you taking us ?
HOW I'M I only just finding this song, man I love you Thom
This album is much more focused and unique than A Light. Really impressd upon first listen. It's an aural barrage of strangeness, complexity and deep beauty. So tight like Kid A.
Feels loose to me but not in a bad way, arrangements and structure aren't on that level of meticulous tightness as Radiohead at all, much more space and breathing room. beautiful all the same but last thing I'd say is tight! There's a feeling of searching in the dark
@@nobodiesband I meant tight as in cohesive and working together as a whole piece with a good length.
I agree with you, however A Light For Attracting Attention was put together before they had a chance to play these songs live and truly coalesce as a unit. I think the first album would have been better as the release of maybe 3 EPs. They were playing many of these songs on their tours and it seems to me they allowed this experiment to mature and they have a very interesting new identity forged from the road and new musical ideas.
@@recordtime9151I really love the first record. “Free In The Knowledge” ranks to me up with anything Radiohead have done. I think “Wall Of Eyes” is the superior record because it’s more cohesive, but ALFAA is still top notch x

same, its really hard to pick a favorite from this album but Teleharmonic is becoming a frontrunner for me.
Might be my favorite Radiohead side project song ever. I rank this up on the same level as my favorite Radiohead songs.
I would dare to say it's transcendent of Radiohead, Thom Yorke solo's and even The Smile, they literally out do themselves on this song, all of the album is a perfect 10 in my book but this song is from another place! I don't know how you ever get this exact feeling in a song again.

30+ years ago, these same musical brains where writing songs like Anyone Can Play Guitar and Thinking About You, and just think of the musical journey they went on that brought us to something like this. Just absolutely astonishing creativity, and a legacy of beautiful songs that will be played for as long as human beings will exist. I'm so grateful to them for continuing to push forward and giving us gifts like this.
as someone who remembers listening to "Creep" and "Karma police" on KROQ in my moms car when I was a kid to then buying every new album they put out along the way. Theyve been the soundtrack to my teenage years, twenties, and now 30s and its been a wonderful journey :). So blessed we get to witness their greatness and enjoy the music they create for the world.

I've been waiting for this track since 2022. I listened to various edits and finally, after 2 years, this track is finally released. I can't describe how happy I'm right now! Thank you for this amazing song!
When I watched scene where this song is playing (from TV show Peaky Blinders) I felt like Thomas spoke to me directly. I felt anger and sadness about this situation just like Arthur. When they hugged each other, I burst into tears. At the end, when Tommy said, "Pull yourself together. We have work to do." I understand him. That no matter what happens in life, we have to move forward.
Peaky Blinders taught me a lot of things about courage, business and life. Thanks for this masterpiece, Steven Knight. Now we Peaky Blinders rest.
I cant tell you how many times ive listened to that Peaky Blinders Edit that just loops and loops and loops but never gets old haha
Track after track, I could not believe how impressive this album is. Beautiful.
"Where are you taking me? Somewhere you'll be there." That's what this song does to me, pulls me to another time and place.
Very evocative lyrics. Makes me feel nostalgic about things I haven't even done yet.

Dear Thom, Jonny & Tom,
You guys have done so amazing work on this album. I have been through the whole album just a few minutes ago. You guys are master at what you all are doing. I can't express the feeling about this album in words.. I have been enjoying it and will continue to do so.. tracks like bending hectic, this one & wall of eyes are so good. The orchestration on these tracks is also unbelievable. Thank you so much. ( and hey Thom & Jonny, if you guys are reading this.. then we still want a Radiohead album.. that's just on hold, we are still waiting, still not able to move on from the A moon shaped pool's vibe. I am forever waiting. )
Enjoy what you have, don't expect anything from the future and you won't be deceived. All the members of Radiohead are still doing great stuff and I'm happy with that.
Shut up, dude.
This is hands down one of the greatest songs I have ever heard
"Im cleaned man, The dragons fucking gone. Thanks to you, Thanks to fucking you." - Arthur Shelby

this song gives me lotus flower vibes. definitely my favorite out of all the wonderful songs in the album 🌷
Ingenue as well
Tommy Shelby:
'Pull yourself together, we have work to do. C'mon!....'
Spine tingling.
This album is sincerely so unbelievably beautiful. My GOD i cannot believe how refined these guys got. This reminds me of everything wonderful about In Rainbows, but everything wonderful about Thoms solo stuff, and johnny’s soundtrack work.
I mean, of course it does, but that isn’t something that artists can do with such authenticity often. You just know this is exactly what they wanted to make and we should be so lucky as to have these fellas guiding our tastes further too.
And there’s elements beyond anything from before.
I’m a musician myself and in my mid thirties now discovering just how impressive it is to keep up with music. Even your own. You have to lean into wherever you go forever.
I think these guys may be the best most authentic musicians currently. At least among them. Because they have never lost the thing that makes art as beautiful as possible. Authenticity.
Even though there will probably always be some OK computer in their music, it’s only the unavoidable bits that are there only because it’s authentic.
The fact that we have music from them that are quantum leaps from other music they made, where they are quantum entangled with themselves is only the particles that matter most.
Yep and amazing unassuming English guys. Don’t want media intervention or interference
What a time to be alive. I'm thankful

All of this happens while I'm in front of my computer doing urban design lolz.

I think this is the best album that Johnny and thom have made together since in rainbows. I wasn’t a big fan of the last album but this one is just way more cohesive and better in every way. What an album
Same feeling I had as you over their debut album as The Smile, it took some time and I am alot more into it now that I was when it first came out. In fact I remember when it first came out I was excited to hear what was next for Thom and when I heard it I thought "why are you doing this? It just seems forced and like they are trying to be something they are not", it felt like almost a diss towards the amazing accomplishments they did with Radiohead but as I kept watching live performances it helped me get in the groove they were trying to set in their debut.
WOE blows the debut out of the water however!

My favourite off the new album .
My favorite track. Amazing song. Amazing band, The Smile and Radiohead. I first heard it on Peaky Blinder's final episode before the song was released. That scene, this song, so moving. So thankful for decades of the most amazing music. I've followed Radiohead from the beginning and my sons love all their music as well...
Absolutely beautiful, always finding a way to touch the soul.
While I’m waiting for my pre ordered vinyl I couldn’t resist myself to listen to this one, it just made my day.
Dear god Johnny’s bass part is murderously good. Favorite track on the album for sure. Perfectly rendered for the studio from the early live performances.❤️
It's finally there. And it was totally worth the wait. I'll always be a metalhead. But Radiohead, Thom Yorke and The Smile will forever be my absolute favourite music. :-')
Wow, just WOW!!! I’m in love with this song, how the F%CK does he do it, consistently.?Jus keeps producing these ethereal, melancholy, joyous songs album after album. And fair play, I couldn’t imagine this being released as a Radiohead song unlike tracks like Thin Thing, Under Your Pillows or You’ll Never Work In Television Again, it’s something truly unique to this particular collective, Speech Bubbles is another good example of this!!!
It's nice to hear a return to the expressive electronica of 00s Radiohead, with the beautifully textured and produced ASMP style.
I have been waiting for two years for this track. I'm in peace now.
