My dream strat for years was a Schecter I played around 1987, similar to the Knopfler Schecter, but with a 5 way, that I should have bought on site at the local shop down my street. It was superb. As of recent times, the strat I wanted most was the Scott Henderson Suhr. I think this Eart is a great, very affordable alternative, and it's probably what I'll get. As a longtime strat owner, I know that the finest strats are often NOT made by Fender. There are simply too many alternatives to Fender to get hung up on their brand when other companies are making higher quality, far more affordable strats and teles and offsets. Great video, as always.
Wanted a Strat for years but I wanted some updated specs, like a roasted maple neck, locking tuners and such. I went with a Schecter Nick Johnston Traditional. Love that guitar!
I've played every strat possible and these Eart's are the best playing guitars I've ever owned. Change the pickups to alnico 5's and you have something special with a playability that Fender could only dream of giving you. My PRS S2 and Charvel just sit there now because of this guitar.

Bought this one (have their "Tele" and "335") love them both. The SSS was astounding in overall quality as usual from Eart. HOWEVER, having purchased a new Squier affinity strat while I was waiting on this one, I just like the Squier better. After a little setup and rolling the frets and fret board, the Squier just felt better, sounded more like a strat, and weighed less. Overall a better playing experience. I've had squiers before (and liked them) but I suspect Fenders China factory is now responding to the great Amazon offerings to match up.

I am loving my GW2 headless. It's always within arms reach of the couch and it has become my #1 electric guitar. It's amazing just how resonant it is!

I bought the Tosnail Mini Strat Gig Bag on Amazon and it fits my Eart GW2, with only two inches of space left on top. I think it's a really good alternative since Eart does not have any.
Of all the Eart SSS YMX-SG guitars I have to say that the 3 is definitely in my top 10.

I have watched a ton of videos on well known guitar channels lately but I really like your reviews and I respect your reviews.. I just received my eart "335" 3 hours ago. Owned two Gibson 335s, Epies, and some really high end guitars...as well as some cheap crappy ones that I fell for based on CZcams reviews. I can tell everyone that this is THE BEST GUITAR I've ever bought and not just "for the money" I am blown away by mine.
Got my 335 a few weeks ago. Completely agree with you. It's a great guitar. It needed a quick setup but after that it was damn near perfect. I can't stop playing it.
@@daleburke1730 ..and light as a feather. Mine came unbelievably well setup had to raise the bridge a tad for some buzz and dialed in a bit of relief. Can't put mine down either. Now if only I can remove the EART on the headstock :)

Just my opinion. If you put on creme or vintage knobs and darkened the bright white of those pups a tad that things would look outstanding. If you decide to sell that one let me know.

It also has stainless steel frets and rosewood board despite being $299.99. I've seen people saying it's better than the CV Tele. Would be cool to see a review by you.

@@landonbailey I put a standard shaped pick guard with a GFS mini humbucker neck and a GFS twin rail in back + GFS push/pull plate. Made my NK-C1 one of my very best guitars ever. Just a mod video idea for you down the road....appeal to the masses, live with the classes.

I have the Strat, the Explorer II and the 335 all very good quality in fact with the exception of some electronic parts better than the originals.

Man theres one used near me for $179 SS ball bearing frets AND big block trem...be afraid Fender.
Looks better than the fender 9 piece body.
Would a Fender pickguard fit on it? And can you get it with a maple fretboard? Because I've been seriously thinking about getting a budget guitar like this, and modding the hell out of it, to make it my own. These seem like they would be about the top budget guitar to get. Especially if the neck feels good, and you can't beat stainless steel frets! Thanks for this review, because I know you'll be straight up about it, instead of trying to oversell it! Don't play with your scratchy knob too much now!😁
Fender pickguard will fit. You cannot get it with a maple fretboard, but they have an HSS model with a maple board that costs more.

Hm, I was reading the name like 'Ear' with a T on the end. Now I'm guessing they want you to read it like 'heart' without the 'H' - though I doubt that'll ever catch on. But probably not like Bert without the 'B' (cuz why would there be a letter 'a' in there?). Guess I'll stick with 'Ear' with an added T.

I like the glossy fingerboard. In fact, I like glossy everything. Which is why don't like the satin finish of the body. Prefer one string tree over two. Hate the name EART. Not really a fan of the headstock shape and the colour is meh. Sounded good though and am tempted by the word of mouth, which seems to have been universally possible about EART.
And yes, I meant universally positive, but I'll leave the possible there for posterity, so folks can figuratively slap my posterior.
It's a fantastic guitar for the money. It's one of the best playing guitars I have owned and I've owned well over 10 ranging from low end to Gibson les pauls. For 180 you will be very hard pressed to get a better feeling and sounding strat copy.

It's a resin with carbon fiber dust or something, to harden the surface and make it play faster. It was on a description on early Eart Ads.
cool info, this is generally the first thing people are noticing. I mistakenly thought they just got lucky and had a wood-store of super super high quality rosewood that they just buffed up. *(i have noticed a few PRS fanboys do this technique:)

Just a caution ---I had one for a blink in time.... pickups sounded like a toy ... overly bright. Switch broke, Pots are full sized, but very cheap...neck buzzing on E / A ... could not be fixed without raising strings higher than golden-gate bridge. My guitar was bottom heavy... Nut cut wrong..... complete junk.

Hate those 6 screw tremolos. Even cheap 2 point tremolos can work like a charm.
Why does everyone struggle with the pronouncing the name? Think of heart without the h. Just say "art".
