    Glad to see you liking this! One of the first professional grade flashlights I bought besides a triple D-cell mag-lite and the first I ever bought that had over 1,000 lumens.
    5:09 you have to mash the button down intentionally. Fenix will NOT change that because that's actually a safety feature. These lights get extremely hot on turbo so you *_must_* carry it locked out or buy the reinforced nylon or leather holster (sold separately).
    9:42 memory. Leave it on turbo. Instant access to 3,000 lumens / 18,700 candela
    Don't fret! You can easily rotate the rotary switch with your thumb and index finger from the overhead grip. Just gotta practice it but the rotary switch is so easy to rotate. Don't let the price tag dissuade you. This is an investment and pays for itself. As long as you're not wearing jeans or other tight pants? You CAN pocket carry this with the clip without noticing it much.

    Initially I started off the same way as you: not liking the 21700 battery because it's slightly too big for EDC. But with regular use and especially on duty lights that you must depend on to last throughout a run/job, I've come to appreciate just how much that extra 25-33% capacity the 21700 offers over the 18650. The biggest impact comes from well regulated lights, where mAh max capacity really showcase how the 21700 shines over the 18650.

      I take your point. It makes total sense what you say. For me, I still prefer the smaller size. But if I am doing something that will take a long time, I will need to bring a spare battery along for sure.
      Thanks for your comment! I like your input a lot

    I personally enjoy my tac lights to not be deep carry. I save a lot of time finding a grip on the light (done a lot of tests since I’m a competitive shooter and like that draw practice lol). Obviously I understand its all opinion and majority like the deep carry. Just wanted to throw that out there as another perspective for some!

    Mam that sounds so much better....Feeeenix. Top review buddy, very tempting. I'm not a huge fan of clips on tac lights purely for the fact that I rarely wear gloves and if I'm forced to use the light in a striking situation I don't want my hand getting ripped apart. I know you're not a lanyard fan but personally on a tac light I'd rather the extra security of not worrying I'll drop what might be my first point of defense (for blinding or striking). Big love from Perth

    The tail switch is made of aluminium, not plastic.

      incorrect the button on the back is made out of plastic and the screw cap is made out of aluminum. Literally says it on the box.

    What's a mixed beam?

    • @flashlightcrazy
      @flashlightcrazy  Před rokem +2

      When the hotspot of a light mixes well and evenly with the spill of the light. So instead of having a distinct hotspot and spill around it, a mixed beam will give you an even blend of the two. Makes for a nicer spectrum of light in my iopinion
