(don't take the practice test in the book) - there are 6 of them ** prioritize biochem the most (about 30 ?s on the mcat) and physics the least (about 3 ?s) Tip #4: Use AAMC Practice Resources ** passage-based question sets, practice tests (at least twice), and flashcards Tip #5: Schedule your studying (Learning period vs. Cram period) ** L.P.: From the beginning of college up to 1 month before the exam (read Kaplan books and take detailed notes) ** C.P.: From 1 month before the MCAT exam (review material/notes for 2-7 days, then take practice exams)
Great advice! Please don't neglect studying physics. My MCAT had a heavy amount of physics questions. I focused more on chemistry and not enough physics and there were waaaaay more physics questions than chemistry. Never neglect any subject cause every exam is different.
@@abcdxyz9999 If you mean after 12th grade, then no, you should not take the MCAT after 12th grade. You should take the necessary college level courses in Bio., Chem., Biochem., Physics, etc. and then take the MCAT around your third year of college, otherwise the test will likely be extremely difficult.
You and your sister are saving my life right now. I just sent this to all my friends prepping for the mcat and hopefully our plan of study gets more precise thanks to your and your sisters advice. Another video you can do is how to properly recreate mcat practice test sessions to be similar to the actual exam. And I'm really looking forward on the how to review practice tests video! I really hope your channel gets big because this was actual advice a lot of us needed! Good luck with everything and thank you so so so so much
You and your sister motivate me to study and put my best effort into my classes. I'm majoring in biological sciences right now and then applying for a doctor of pharmacy program. I get tired of studying pretty quick and try to rush through it but these types of videos put me back in my place and remind me how important all these classes are. Thank you for that, I just subbed. :)
Came here from your sister's channel! I've also been using the Kaplan books to prepare and as I went through them I realized that I really should have been using these books throughout my courses instead of 3 months before my exam. They explain everything in such an easy to understand manner and it definitely would have saved me hours of frustration in some of my pre-med courses. When I get to med school though I'll definitely do that with Step 1 books, it's such a great tip. Looking forward to more videos!
nah brah the intelligence you're born with matters too. For some people they just aren't made to ace everything. Genes def come in play for this. look at his sister she smart asl too. im pretty sure its genes
Not necessarily, some people just have to put in, a bit of more work in order to memorize information, but tbh people that I know that are very smart (that I personally call geniuses) are normally people that invest their time in reading books, doing word puzzles, watching informative videos on CZcams when they have time to waste. These "naturally smart" people ENJOY learning therefore they do have the upper hand. Many of us just need to start doing the same lol.
@@MedBros Are the two videos you mentioned making, such as the mock test video, up now? Where can I find the 2 other videos that you mentioned making after this one to help? Would love to see those as well in my preparations. This video was incredibly helpful. Thank you.
Came here from Kaur's channel and I could not be any happier that I found both of your channels on the same day. As a first generation student, I am struggling to make a decision about when to take the MCAT and when to register for it. Can you please make a video explaining what the process should generally look like in terms of which classes to take and when to study and register for the MCAT if a student is planning on going to Med School right after their undergrad without a gap year and what it would be like if a student is to take a gap year before enrolling into med school. Thank you so much for creating this channel!!

Honestly, I have forgotten most of the material and what are the chances I am doing well on MCAT and reading Kaplan practice book and doing problems is enough for to get decent score on MCAT. Could you please help me out ?
can you put the link where to find the kaplan mcat prep books for 2020-2021! I want to make sure I am getting the right ones. Also, for the AAMC practice exams, did you buy the 4 exams individually ($35 each) and the official prep sample test ($25)? Or was it the AAMC prep online only bundle?
Extremely helpful. Your test preparation method was so methodical and inspirational. I am a senior in undergrad and looking to take the MCAT before my gap year, so your video was a great find! Thank you!
I normally don’t leave comments, but I just want to say that this is truly the most helpful video I have come across regarding the MCAT. Thanks for taking the time to help others and sharing your experience. Good luck and keep posting awesome videos! 😊

Please make a vid on how to make the unofficial AAMC practice exams! I'm almost a month out from my exam and wrapping up my content, so I'm about to cram as many practice tests as possible. I was going to take the Princeton exams but after watching your vid and your sisters, I'm going to do what you said instead. Please make it soon :) great stuff!

hey if you ever have the chance, can you please do a video of how to choose between two answers that sound right like those 50/50 ones. Or even better if you can go through an AAMC passage so we can see your thought process if you still have access to those materials.
How to approach a multiple choice exam video is definitely a video I will do! I would love to review an official AAMC passage in a video but the legality of that might be a problem ;)
I think practice is the best way to improve on verbal so dissecting AAMC passages is most helpful. May make a video on this in the future if there is interest. Hope that helps!
Idk what your goal for this channel is, but would you ever consider doing a video on EC activities (other than the typical pre-med ones like shadowing, scribing, and etc)
Bro thank you so much for this! And if you haven't already (and have some time) please make the videos outlining your method of reviewing your tests and also depicting how to make practice mock tests. Lots of love man, hope you and your fam are all doing well!
Can you make a video on multiple choice test strategies? The ones I have seen on youtube are basically super generic and not really helpful for graduate level exams. Thanks! :)
But, how do you balance taking full-course load of difficult science upper level courses, volunteer, work, exercise, and have time left to review and read the mcat books?
OMG thank you so much! this video was super helpful, I'm about to start college as a freshman in about a month and this video really calmed my nerves about the pre med courses that I have to take starting this semester with Gen Chem, thanks!
Don't be scared! If you study right you will know you are prepared. I only took the MCAT once as well; you can do amazing on the first attempt if you try your best!
Hello, awesome concise video! Can you please make 2 more videos on: 1-How to study (how to take detailed notes, how to remember forgotten things) 2-How to properly review aamc tests Thanks
Can you make a detailed study routine for how you study for different science courses like pre-med courses and other ones like physiology, neuroscience, etc.?
I really like that you recommend reading the Kaplan books while you study in college. They frame things in a memorable way, however be careful when getting close to the date because the material changes every year.
I'm studying for the LSAT (Law School), but this was by far the best MCAT prep video that I've ever watched. Makes me want to take the MCAT exam now lol
s.s cringe yes, and that's mathematically impossible because he cannot beat his own score. So either he is lying and used it as click bait or the MCAT score card actually said he was in the 100th percentile and the MCAT score card phrasing is inaccurate
Step 1: have an incredible native IQ and determination to use it for your goals. Step 2: Don't have a social life. Step 3: Go into debt and find a way to pay it off when you are 30 or older. .... GoodLuck everyone....

Thank you for sharing!!! I'm taking my MCAT in a year so I really appreciate these types of videos! Can you make a video detailing your application and interview process?
How do I know you really did get 100% on the MCAT? When you say something like that is nice to show a proof or evidence. By the way, I am not doubting that you did, it's just that anyone could say they got 100% on the MCAT on a youtube video. Besides that, there were some very good tips in your video. Thank you and have a great day!
There actually is (well at least for the NMAT but I think they're the same). On the actual printed result there is a 100th percentile but when you check online it's 99.9+ so it means the same thing
I'm so glad that you and your sister are giving such honest and usable tips for studying!!! 90% of these kinds of videos on youtube are just beauty gurus telling nonsense lol
i followed all of the MedBros and Kaur Beauty's advice and i just got my score ... 521!!!!!

Keep going. Try later on in life, & get your grades up by retaking some courses. Don't give up. Maybe it wasn't for you then but It might be now.
Most doctors who were nurses before medical school still thought nursing was hard. Don’t exaggerate your “smarts” if your gpa was too low

I think practice is the best way to improve on verbal so dissecting AAMC passages is most helpful. May make a video on this in the future if there is interest. Hope that helps!
*just bought a Kaplan study course... comes here to get extra tips*
Tip #1: don’t buy a study course.
Lololol
Same 😭
Idk what your goal for this channel is, but would you ever consider doing a video on EC activities (other than the typical pre-med ones like shadowing, scribing, and etc)
Of course! It's on my to-do list!
Thank you so much bro. Anxious to see more videos from you.
Thanks! :)
Thank you for the suggestion; I've added it to my to-do list!
But, how do you balance taking full-course load of difficult science upper level courses, volunteer, work, exercise, and have time left to review and read the mcat books?
that's easy, its called not having to work during school.
@@inthemaking748 I wish I could do that
@@inthemaking748 Sadly, that's very true...
in the making or taking a gap year
OMG thank you so much! this video was super helpful, I'm about to start college as a freshman in about a month and this video really calmed my nerves about the pre med courses that I have to take starting this semester with Gen Chem, thanks!
Good luck with college! More videos to calm those nerves coming soon!
Really wish I had my Kaplan books when I first started undergrad, that's great advice!
How do you study in undergraduate school to get a high GPA?
Will be making a video about how to get straight A's soon!
Bruh got a perfect score omg😭💀 kill me now I'm looking like a 300 and I haven't even taken the exam before. I'm genuinely scared
Don't be scared! If you study right you will know you are prepared. I only took the MCAT once as well; you can do amazing on the first attempt if you try your best!
Hello, awesome concise video!
Can you please make 2 more videos on:
1-How to study (how to take detailed notes, how to remember forgotten things)
2-How to properly review aamc tests
Thanks
Love how detailed ur first video is
I wanna see an in depth video on practice tests 😊
Thank you! Will definitely make a video about that!
Can you make a detailed study routine for how you study for different science courses like pre-med courses and other ones like physiology, neuroscience, etc.?
The video I am uploading in the morning should help a lot with this!
@@MedBros Thank you for this. What's the name of the video?
thank you ! keep up the good work i want to see your study schedule, maybe? subscribing now.
Thank you for subscribing! Will be working on schedule videos in the near future!
I really like that you recommend reading the Kaplan books while you study in college. They frame things in a memorable way, however be careful when getting close to the date because the material changes every year.
Came from your beautiful sis channel who I adore! You are all just a big family of geniuses! Great video.
Me as an 11 yo: Aight time to start studying-
Me 8 years later: Time to ace this test
it’s almost as if we have the same kinda story i’ve always dreamed of being of a surgeon when i was 12
@@user-dd1gd8mi3g haha! If you've watched gray's anatomy(ikr) it looks kind of scary!
He looks just like Puneet
Thank you sooooo much!!! I feel so much more confident after watching this!!
I'm studying for the LSAT (Law School), but this was by far the best MCAT prep video that I've ever watched. Makes me want to take the MCAT exam now lol
Doesn't that mean he did better than 100% of the test takers
s.s cringe yes, and that's mathematically impossible because he cannot beat his own score. So either he is lying and used it as click bait or the MCAT score card actually said he was in the 100th percentile and the MCAT score card phrasing is inaccurate
Shelby Daugherty 99.5+
vestu It still would be inaccurate to say the 100th percentile. He could accuratly say that he scored a 100% but not scoring in the 100th percentile.
Shelby Daugherty 99.5* rounds to 100
And especially if there are a huge amount of test takers, 100 percentile still works (of course not truly 100, but VERY close)
Step 1: have an incredible native IQ and determination to use it for your goals.
Step 2: Don't have a social life.
Step 3: Go into debt and find a way to pay it off when you are 30 or older.
.... GoodLuck everyone....
Came from Kaur Beauty's channel and you two are so inspiring, it is insane. Thank you for making this video and can't wait for more!
P.S. Definitely interested in all of your future video ideas!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Am working hard on new content!
This was a really well done, helpful video. Great clarifications. Thank you!
can you borrow mcat books from university libraries? its too early for me to buy mcat books but it makes great sense to review the material before i start classes
It depends on the school, even my local public library has Kaplan MCAT books! You can also borrow them from a friend if you can!
Subbed!
Thank you for the sub!
+MedBros Congratulations on your huge achievement! Thanks for this informative video! what year version should I buy?
I really feel better after watching this. Thank you very much.
Just subbed from Kaur Beauty's channel. Can you do more videos on study routine and study materials? Plus can you take us through your med school journey? (also do studying tips)
Video about many of these tips coming in the morning!
I am freshmen in college do you recommend I buy the books now or wait?
I would recommend to get the books now. It will help so much with both the MCAT and your classes! I hope you do great at college!
MedBros Okay, thanks
@@aslishagu1692Don't you have video games to play or something?
I'm guessing that you probably got a perfect score on the SAT too? haha
Not perfect 😅 but video coming on the SAT too!
MedBros yesss pls make a video on studying for the SAT!!
would you pleasee be able to make a video on how to study correctly and beneficially for the SAT?!!?
Loved this video! Would really appreciate that video on making those practice mock tests with the passage questions. 😄😄😄
Thank you for sharing!!! I'm taking my MCAT in a year so I really appreciate these types of videos! Can you make a video detailing your application and interview process?
ahahahaha!!! 350,725 views. Glad I could contribute.
How do I know you really did get 100% on the MCAT? When you say something like that is nice to show a proof or evidence. By the way, I am not doubting that you did, it's just that anyone could say they got 100% on the MCAT on a youtube video. Besides that, there were some very good tips in your video. Thank you and have a great day!
looking forward to the videos you make for this channel!
Thank you for the support!
I'm not even studying medicine but any study tips are literally so helpful
There is no 100th percentile.
Aaron Mansdoerfer THANK YOU. I was shocked nobody else noticed that error
Apparently there is: www.princetonreview.com/med-school-advice/what-is-a-good-mcat-score
There actually is (well at least for the NMAT but I think they're the same). On the actual printed result there is a 100th percentile but when you check online it's 99.9+ so it means the same thing
Great information and congratulations on your score!
I would love to see a video on how to make those custom tests from the aamc material :)
Thank you so much for the advice! I love your videos
I'm so glad that you and your sister are giving such honest and usable tips for studying!!! 90% of these kinds of videos on youtube are just beauty gurus telling nonsense lol
