🤜🐷🦶👉🔥 aka “Shove that Pigs Foot a Little Further into the Fire” played on a lovely banjo made by Prat Instruments. Thanks, David, for lending me such a gorgeous instrument on my travels. The deep, warm tones are incredible!

Meticulous and beautiful... Very clean for clawhammer
This is utterly inspiring playing. Bouyed up by Jens Kruger's playing, I've been focusing largely on three-finger styles since I started playing seriously about 6 months ago. Your videos, as well as those of Lukas Pool, have drawn me into the world of clawhammer playing.
Just a fantastic version of this tune!
Great playing. I like all your small variations within the tune.
beautiful
Very inspiring version! Now I have try and steal some of your licks if that's okay with you.
Sounds great. Sounds like you're just south of G. Love the depth in the tone
Good catch! Didn’t realize it until afterwards when I tried to tune ;)
"Shove that Pig's Foot a Little Further Into the Fire." "But Pa, that one always makes me cry!" (For those that are old enough, there's a reference to the old "Andy Griffith Show" in that joke.
What tuning are you in?
open G
Awesome playing, what model is that banjo?
Not sure of the model. I’m borrowing it from David Prat who built it. Prat Instruments.
Awesome version! That banjo sounds neat. Is that a Dobson tone ring?
@@JelSnel it is!
Just curious, it says you are in open G tuning, but when I play along an open G, sounds like it’s in a different key.
ooh it's possible the whole banjo is tuned down a bit from Open G -- probably somewhere between F and G - sorry!
@@bradkolodnermusic No apologies! Just didn't know what I was doing wrong.
